The suction pipe type fuel tank is as shown in Fig. 5, with a suction pipe 52 facing inside the tank 51, with an upper end 52a protruding above the tank 51, and connected to a pump and a carburetor. However, the lower end 52b of one pipe 52 faces apart from the bottom 51a of the fuel tank 51, and the lower end 52b faces the bottom 51a of the fuel tank 51.
A filter 53 is provided around the periphery of the pipe 52, and a float-type fuel detection means 52 and a residual amount detection sensor 55 are attached to the lower part of the pipe 52.

In the above fuel tank, when the tank is assembled to a vehicle, or when the internal pressure of the tank increases or decreases due to climate change, thermal effects, etc., the capacity of the tank changes, and the inlet end 52c of the pipe 52 and Bottom 51a
The clearance S between the tank 51 and the tank 51 changes, and it is difficult to correct this in practice. It will vary.

Furthermore, there is a prior art in which a pressure biasing means for the end of the pipe facing into the tank, such as a leaf spring, is fixedly supported on the tank side.
It is difficult to maintain the suction end of the pipe in a constant position due to spring installation errors and variations in the processing of the leaf spring itself.

The present invention has been made to improve the above-mentioned disadvantages, and its purpose is to provide a bent portion at a suitable position downstream of the suction end of the suction pipe facing into the tank, and to connect the upstream side of the bent portion to the side of the tank. The clearance between the suction end and the upper surface of the bottom of the tank is maintained constant even if the volume inside the tank changes due to changes in tank internal pressure, etc., and the ineffective remaining amount of fuel is maintained. To provide a fuel tank device for a vehicle which prevents variations in fuel tank.

Fig. 1 is an enlarged view of the first embodiment, where 51 shows the tank, 51a shows the bottom floor of the tank, 1 is a suction pipe, and the upstream part 2 of this pipe is bent into an inverted L shape. The upper part of the hanging tip part 2a is bent laterally 2b and extends laterally into the tank by a predetermined length to form an upstream base part 2c. A remaining amount detection sensor storage chamber 3 is provided at the intermediate lower part to the upper circumference of the hanging tip part 2a, and the upper half of the filter 4 is stored and held in the side part of the chamber 3. The lower end 4a of the filter 4 protrudes downward, and the lower end 4a of the filter 4 extends below the suction end 2d at the tip of the hanging tip 2a of the pipe and comes into contact with the floor 51a.
A clearance S is provided between the suction end 2c and the suction end 2c.

A rubber hose 5 connects the base 2c of the upstream section 2 to the base end 2e.
The tip 6a, which forms the upstream end of the downstream section 6 of the pipe 1, which is connected to the pump and fuel supply device by leading the base out of the tank, is fitted to the base of the rubber hose 5. Bands 7, 7 are wound around both ends of the rubber hose 5 and fastened to the other end, and a leaf spring 8 is bridged between the flanges 7a, 7a of the bands 7, 7, and both ends of the leaf spring 8 are tied to the flange parts. 7a,
7a with screw 9 and nut 10, and plate spring 8
Then, the upstream section 2 is elastically biased onto the tank floor surface 51a using the flexible section made of the rubber hose 5 as a fulcrum. In the figure, reference numeral 11 is a stopper attached to the leaf spring 8.
