Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a control mechanism with high response and high accuracy by setting two couples of welding heads approachably and separably mutually and fitting a couple of preceding and succeeding welding torches to each head with these positions and angles adjustable and performing fillet welding of lounge materials by the plural torches. CONSTITUTION:The couple each of welding heads 10a1 and 10a2, and 10b1 and 10b2 are fitted to head fitting bodies 9a and 9b respectively with these positions and angles adjustable. The couple of preceding and succeeding welding torches are fitted to each welding head. Root fitting parts of the longitudinal materials 4a and 4b on a main member 3 are subjected to fillet welding by the eight welding torches by moving the respective welding heads 10a1, 10a2, 10b1 and 10b2. By this method, the control mechanism with high response and high accuracy can be realized.

As a conventional example of this type of fillet welding equipment, for example,
Publication No. 7-40615 discloses that a trolley is mounted on a gate-shaped girder, a pair of head mounting bodies are supported on the trolley in a vertically movable manner, and each head mounting body is provided with a pair of welding heads.
It is shown that two pairs of welding heads are used to perform fillet welding on both sides of two longitudinal pieces at the same time.

In the conventional method described above, a pair of welding heads that perform jul fillet welding of one longitudinal material are supported by an opening/closing support mechanism that is rotatable around a common fulcrum with respect to one head mounting body, and the welding head is rotated in the direction of welding progress. Since scanning control in the width direction is performed by displacement of a common head mounting body, the pair of welding heads move in the width direction as a unit due to this scanning, and each of the fillet welds on both sides There was a problem in that it was not possible to perform independent tracing control.

Furthermore, since each welding head is fixedly installed so that the torch faces in a predetermined direction with respect to the support mechanism, there is a limit to welding control that follows changes in the shape of the welding groove.

On the other hand, rotating arc welding, in which the arc is rotated eccentrically with respect to the torch axis, has been developed and put into practical use as a welding method that satisfies the recent demand for improved welding efficiency, but this welding method requires shallow penetration and high speed. Since welding is performed, high responsiveness and precision are required for one-touch position control that follows the groove shape.

Describing the operation of the embodiment apparatus having the above configuration, this apparatus simultaneously welds two of the plurality of longitudinal members 4 (4a and 4b in FIG. 3) on the main member 3.
When a plurality of longitudinal members 4 are arranged in parallel on the upper surface and temporarily welded, the girder 1 moves over the rail 2 with each welding head retracted upward by the head attachment bodies 9a and 9b. Move and stop at a predetermined position. in this case,
The traveling frame 6 is previously located at one end of the girder 1, and each wI contact head also has horizontal transverse axes 91a, 91b.
The two pairs of opposing welding heads are positioned at a predetermined initial position at the top, and the distance between the two pairs of opposing welding heads is wide enough to prevent interference with the longitudinal material directly below. In this state, the head mounting bodies 9a and 9b are lowered to lower each welding head to a predetermined height level, and the carriage portion 11 of each head is moved on the transverse shafts 91a and 91b to provide a gap between each opposing welding head. are brought close to each other until they reach a predetermined value. In this case, it goes without saying that the distance between the electrodes at the tip of the torch of each welding head is adjusted in advance by the inter-electrode distance adjustment mechanism 12. In this state, the 1-axis of each welding head is the X-axis slide block 1.
3. Y-axis slide block 15. α-axis torch angle adjustment mechanism 18. And by the β-axis torch angle adjustment mechanism 19, copying control movement can be performed individually and independently in four axes of freedom.

As described above, in the fillet welding apparatus exclusively for longitudinal materials according to the present invention, each welding head is supported independently with respect to the head mounting body so as to be able to approach and separate from each other in the direction of girder movement. It is not affected by the displacement of the welding head. In addition, each welding head is equipped with a leading welding torch and a trailing welding torch, which can be individually adjusted in position and angle. Since control operations can be performed, a highly responsive and highly accurate control mechanism can be realized.
