Abstract

PURPOSE:To open a water supply valve, feed a specified amount of water, and constantly maintain the storage level of clean water without corroding hot water, by providing a motor- driven waste water valve, a motor-driven water supply valve, and a heater, installing a time counter section to a flow rate detector, and detecting a flow rate with said flow rate detector. CONSTITUTION:In an electric hot water device where a tank 1 is provided with a heater 2, a water supply pipe 3, a waste water drain pipe 4 and a hot water supply pipe 5; a motor- driven water supply valve 6 is installed to the water supply pipe 3 while a motor-driven waste water valve 7 is installed to the waste drainage water pipe 4. In a like manner, a flow rate detector 8 is installed to the hot water supply pipe 5, while a time counter control section 9 is installed to the heater 2, the motor-driven water supply valve 6, the drain valve 7 and the flow rate detector 8 respectively. The flow rate detector 8 detects a flow rate, thereby opening the motor-driven water supply valve 6 so as to feed a specified amount of water. When the temperature of hot water drops, the heater 2 is made to operate corresponding to a temperature drop and heat the water stored in the tank 1. Based on the control of the time counter control section 9, the motor-driven waste water drain valve 7 is opened, thereby discharging the hot water in the tank 1 and opening the motor-driven water supply valve 6 so as to supply water.

In order to solve these problems, the present invention provides an electric drain valve on the drain pipe of the electric water heater, an electric water supply valve on the water supply pipe, and uses a time counter control unit to time the unused water heater for a certain period of time. After counting, the electric water drain valve is opened for a predetermined period of time to drain the water, and the electric water supply valve on the water supply pipe is also opened to supply a predetermined amount of water. The water can be replaced automatically, ensuring clean hot water at all times. It is a technical challenge to provide a highly convenient automatic supply and drainage system for electric water heaters that can be secured.

Since the present invention is configured as described above, when the water heater is not used for a long time, the electric drain valve 7 is automatically opened to drain water by counting the unused time, and the electric water supply valve 6 is automatically opened to supply water. Since this is a system that automatically replaces new water, there is no need for manual intervention, and even if the tank 1 is absent for a long time, the hot water in the tank 1 will not spoil and a clean water supply can always be ensured.

Furthermore, the system supplies water according to hot water consumption 1 and always maintains a predetermined amount of stored water, and is heated to a constant temperature by heater 2, so as long as the system is turned on, the water will always be clean and at the predetermined temperature. This system has excellent features such as being able to obtain hot water at any time, and furthermore, since the power to the heater 2 can be controlled to be turned off during automatic replacement of new water, there is no waste in the power consumption of the heater 2.
