Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable smooth discharge of water intruded into the edge of a door glass by making a through-hole at the contacting section with the door glass at the end section extending along the door waist section and coupling the through-hole with a drainage path. CONSTITUTION:When a car is washed, water is ejected strongly to the border section between a door glass 5 and a weather strip 3. Consequently the water stored in a gap C between a sub-lip S and the door glass 5 flows downward along the circumference of the door glass 5 and discharged smoothly through a through-hole 10 along a drainage path 13 at the terminal section 9 of the weather strip 3. The water does not stay in the gap C nor flows out to the outside when a sashless door is opened. Furthermore, since the water on the weather strip at the outside is led to the inside while being bent through the through-hole 10, counter-flow can be prevented.

Further, the weather strip 3 is attached to the vehicle body in a continuous state with the linear extrusion molded fJ757 and the molded part 8 forming the corner part. For example, the lower end of the weather strip 3 on the rear side , a molded end portion 9 extending along the door waist portion is formed (this similar structure is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 60-21914).
This is shown in Publication No. 6.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention The door glass 5 is the hollow seal F of the weather strip 3! i56, and prevents water from entering the interior of the vehicle, but a small amount of rainwater that has entered during car washing etc. may accumulate between the edge 5a of the door glass 5 and the hollow seal portion 6. Sometimes it happens.

According to the structure of the above embodiment, strong water is sprayed at the boundary between the door glass 5 and the weather strip 3, for example when washing a car, so that water is sprayed into the gap C between the sub-lip S and the door glass 5. Even if water accumulates, this water flows downward through the gap C along the periphery of the door glass 5, and is smoothly discharged to the outside of the vehicle along the drainage passage 13 from the through hole 10 at the terminal portion 9 of the weather strip 3. be done.

As described in detail, according to the present invention, car wash water is sprayed at the boundary with the door glass, so that even if the car wash water accumulates between the periphery of the door glass, the water is removed. is discharged to the outside of the vehicle through a drainage passage through a through hole formed at the end of the weather strip along the periphery of the door glass, thus preventing the occurrence of a situation in which it flows into the interior of the vehicle when the door is opened. There is an effect that can be done.
