Conventionally, a color sorter using a light emitter/receiver is known, for example, as shown in FIG. This type of color sorting machine consists of a light projector 1 that projects a light beam, a light receiver 2 that receives the light beam from the projector 1 and converts it into an electrical signal, and a reference color that has the same color as the object A to be sorted, such as grain. An object A to be sorted is dropped from a chute 10 between the object A and the plate 3, and a comparator 11 detects a change in the amount of light received by the light receiver 2 caused by scratches on the object A, and the output of the comparator 11 is A signal is applied to the emitter 13 via the delay circuit 12, and the object A to be sorted is removed by the air jetted by the emitter 13.

However, according to this kind of color sorter,
A detection optical path P consisting of a light projector 1, a reference color plate 3, and a light receiver 2 is installed at an angle. The output of 2 is applied to the emitter 13 with timing determined by the delay circuit 12, and the output of the emitter 1
3 is activated, so when the object A to be detected is on the same inclined plane as seen from the light receiver 2, that is, when the object A to be sorted is at the positions A1 and A2 in FIG. The objects to be sorted A1 and A2 appear to be at the same height when viewed from the light receiver 2. Therefore, regardless of whether the object to be sorted A1 or A2 is detected by the light receiver 2, the emitter 13 operates at the same timing. However, in this case, the object to be sorted A is blown incorrectly.
This is because the emitter 13 is not operated in consideration of the height difference ΔH due to the difference in the distance D between the objects to be sorted A1 and A2.

The outputs of the light receivers 32 and 52 provided on the upper and lower sides are respectively connected to a constant voltage source E.
1 and E2 to comparators 61 and 62, the output of one comparator 62 is directly sent, and the output of the other comparator 61 is sent to the delay circuit 6.
3 through each OR gate (OR gate)
Added to 64. This delay circuit 63 determines the time T1 for the object A to fall down the distance H10 from the upper detection optical path P10 to the lower detection optical path P11.
The output signal of the comparator 61 provided on the upper stage side is delayed by 0. The output of the OR gate 64 is amplified by an amplifier (AMP) 65, and the output is amplified by an amplifier (AMP) 65.
3 is input. The air injection timing by the radiator 73 is set in consideration of the time T11 required for the object to be sorted A to fall the distance H11 from the lower detection optical path P11 to the radiator 73. To set this time T11, it is sufficient to add a delay circuit or the like. 80 in FIGS. 2 and 3 is a chute, which directs the object A to the detection optical path P10, P
11 in sequence.

Next, the operation of the color sorter will be explained. First, the objects A to be sorted are sequentially dropped from the chute 80 into the detection optical paths P10 and P11. When the object to be sorted A reaches the upper detection optical path P10, the light beam projected from the projector 21 is directed to the reference color plate 23.
The light is reflected by the object to be sorted A10 and enters the light receiver 32 through the condenser 55 and the slit 53 disposed at its focal position. The amount of light received by the light receiver 32 is converted into an electrical signal and applied to the comparator 61. Here, if the object to be sorted A10 has no scratches or the like, the light receiver 32
If the output voltage of the output voltage and the voltage of the constant voltage source E1 are made to match, the output of the comparator 61 will be zero, so if there is a scratch on the object to be sorted A10, the amount of light received by the light receiver 32 will be reduced. If the light changes, the output of the light receiver 32 changes accordingly, and an output signal is output from the comparator 61. This output signal is
The delay circuit 63 causes the object to be sorted A10 to change the distance H between the upper detection optical path P1 and the lower detection optical path P2.
10 is delayed by the time T10 to fall,
applied to OR gate 64; The object to be sorted A1
0 falls from the upper detection optical path P10 to the lower detection optical path P11, the upper illuminator 2
1 receives the light beam from the lower stage side projector 42 arranged in the opposite direction. The light beam from the projector 42 is reflected by the reference color plate 43 and the back surface of the object to be sorted A10, and enters the light receiver 52 through the condenser 56 and the slit 54 arranged at its focal position.
This light receiver 52 converts the signal into an electrical signal and inputs it to the comparator 62 together with the constant voltage source E2.
This comparator 62 outputs an output signal in accordance with the change in the amount of light received by the light receiver 52, and this is applied to the OR gate 64, as described above. When the output signal of either of the two comparators 61 and 62 is input to this OR gate 64, it outputs an output, and this output is amplified by an amplifier 65 and applied to a radiator 73. Therefore, the upper detection optical path P10 or the lower detection optical path P10
11, if a scratch or the like on the object to be sorted A10 is detected, this defective object to be sorted A10
When it falls to the position (H10+H11) of the radiator 73, air is ejected from the radiator 73 at T11, and the defective object to be sorted A10 is removed.

Therefore, in this color sorter, the detection light path P1
0 and P11 are arranged horizontally and in two directions (for example, in opposite directions) with a distance H10 between them,
Not only can scratches and the like on the object A to be sorted be detected from both sides at a predetermined vertical interval, but even if the falling width D10 of the object A changes as the amount of fall of the object A changes, it can be detected in the horizontal direction. Since the detection time of the object to be sorted A detected by the detection optical paths P10 and P11 is constant, the structure can be simplified and the air jet of the radiator 73 can be performed accurately.

Since the color sorting machine according to this invention is constructed as described above, it is not only possible to detect scratches, etc. on the objects to be sorted from at least two directions at vertical intervals, but also because the detection light path is arranged in the horizontal direction. Even if the width of the falling object changes as the amount of falling objects changes, the detection time of the object remains constant, so the operation of the radiator changes. This has the effect that the sorting of objects to be sorted can be carried out accurately with a simple structure.
