Abstract

PURPOSE:To enrich the luster and depth of a wooden base material and to add a high class feeling to said material, by forming on the surface of said wooden base material through an adhesive agent, a pearl ink layer, a foundation printing layer, a tone printing layer and a conduit printing layer sequentially in this order, each layer partially blanked. CONSTITUTION:A transfer sheet is roughly divided into two layers, namely, a basic separating sheet 1 and a transfer layer 2 to be transferred onto a wooden base material 3. The transfer layer 2 is formed on a pearl ink layer (a), a foundation printing layer (b), a tone printing layer (c) and a conduit printing layer (d). The transfer sheet is laminated onto wooden base material 3 through an adhesive 4. It is desirable that the conduit printing layer (d) and the tone printing layer (c) are printed, similarly to the other printing layers (a) and (b), by an ink having a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer as a binder. The foundation printing layer (b) is printed so that it is partially provided with unprinted blanks. Although the pearl ink layer (a) is desirable to be printed by titanium coated mica, copper or zinc may be employed for printing. Printing is carried out with the use of an accented plate having blanks formed on a shaded form plate obtained on the basis of a model of an aimed natural wood.

<Conventional technology> A technique for producing a decorative board that resembles natural wood (e.g. oak), which is different from the wood substrate (e.g. lauan plywood) by providing an ink layer on the surface of a wood base material such as lauan plywood. is well known. In this case, the ink layer consists of three layers, and these three layers consist of, in order from the surface side of the wood base material, a base printing layer, a tone printing layer, and a conduit printing layer. The base printing layer is usually dark throughout and has a color tone that is the desired base of natural wood. The tone printing layer has a darker color than the base printing layer and is printed with wood grain shading, and the base printing layer can be seen through the areas where the density is light or where it is not printed at all.

The conduit printing layer is a layer in which only the conduit is printed with dark ink. Methods for forming these printed layers include printing directly on the wood base material, as well as printing these printed layers on a release sheet and then using an adhesive etc. to remove these printed layers. There is a method of transferring to a wood base material, but the above three printing layers are all the same.

By the way, natural wood has a unique texture, depth, and wood texture, so in order to create a decorative board that is close to natural wood, it is necessary to reproduce this texture, depth, and wood texture. For this reason, instead of printing 11 layers all over the base, there is a method of making a partial cutout and printing it so that the wood base material can be seen through the cutout. The base material that can be seen through is the wooden base material of lauan plywood, so the texture, depth, and wood texture can be maintained as is.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> In this way, if a cut-out part is provided in the base printing layer so that the wooden base material can be seen through, the part to be seen through is made of cheap wood such as lauan plywood. It is not possible to obtain a decorative board with a luxurious design.
