At the same time, the discharge port of the air cleaner is located on the side of the lower surface of the air cleaner on the carburetor side, and the connection pipe that communicates the discharge port and the carburetor is located in front of the fuel tank and on one side of the vehicle body. It is placed on both sides.

As shown in FIG. 1, a body frame 1 of a motorcycle is provided with a steering head 2 at the front thereof. A tank rail 3 and a down tube 4 are coupled to both upper and lower ends of the steering head 2, respectively, and extend rearward and obliquely downward. A pair of seat rails 5 are coupled to the rear end portion of the tank rail 3 as seat support portions that are bifurcated into left and right bifurcated portions and extend substantially horizontally toward the rear side. A seat 6 is arranged on the pair of seat rails 5. In addition, at the lower end of the down tube 4,
A pair of left and right connecting tubes 7 extending substantially horizontally toward the rear side are connected, and this pair of connecting tubes 7
The rear end portion and the rear end portions of the pair of seat rails 5 are connected by a pair of left and right body tubes 8. And the engine 9 is placed on the pair of connecting tubes 7.
is set. The lower ends of the pair of body tubes 8 and the lower ends of the tank rail 3 are connected by a pair of left and right oblique tubes 10, thereby reinforcing the vehicle body frame 1.

On the other hand, an air cleaner 12 is provided between the steering head 2 and the seat 6 so as to straddle the tank rail 3. This air cleaner 1
2 has a similar shape to a normal fuel tank, and has a pair of left and right intake ports 13 on its front side. Further, a discharge port 14 is provided on the lower surface side of the air cleaner and located on the side of the tank rail 3. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, this discharge port 14 has a

is attached, and the lower end of this conduction pipe 15 and the intake port 16 of the carburetor 11 are connected to the inlet tube 1.
It is connected at 7.

る。 The motorcycle is constructed as described above, and the air taken in from the pair of intake ports 13 of the air cleaner 12 is purified by the cleaner element 18, and is taken into the carburetor 11 through the conduit pipe 15 and the inlet tube 17. Ru. At this time, the conduction pipe 1
Since the diameters of the inlet tube 5 and the inlet tube 17 are relatively large, the pressure loss of the air taken into the carburetor 11 is extremely small despite the long distance between the air cleaner 12 and the carburetor 11. Therefore, the output loss of the engine 9 is reduced.

Since this is a so-called dead space where no other parts are placed between the discharge port and the carburetor, large diameter connecting pipes (conducting pipes and inlet tubes) can be arranged in a straight line.
Therefore, the increase in pressure loss of the intake air in the connecting pipe can be reduced as much as possible, and since the fuel tank is located below the seat, sufficient capacity is ensured.
