It provides a means to facilitate the procedure for calling the other party (for example, the procedure for calling the other party's phone in the case of G3 Fax i IJ). In other words, if you input the telephone number of the other party in advance from the dial button in correspondence with a specific button key and record it in the storage mechanism inside the facsimile machine, the next time the other party's telephone number will be automatically called by simply pressing the specific button key. It was a method that could be called directly. For example, the NEFAX187 axis device employs this method.

There was a drawback in that the sender had to separately prepare the necessary information in the so-called postal system, which identifies the recipient and the sender, and attached it to the beginning of the text each time it is sent.

However, some troublesome points still remain. Especially when sending to multiple recipients at the same time, creating a cover page for the recipients requires a lot of effort.

。In FIG. 1, number input means 1 is used to input a code number for each destination, a corresponding destination calling number (telephone number in the case of G3 facsimile), and a cover page that specifies the destination in detail. ing. The number input means 1 delivers the destination cover and the destination calling number to the number storage 2 in correspondence with the code, and the number storage 2 stores the code, the destination cover and the destination calling number as a set. This stored information is read out by the number reading means 3 when the facsimile transmission is sent again by specifying a code.

then reads the main text facsimile and performs transmission processing. FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing an example of the operation of the facsimile machine when an input key is pressed. Below, Figures 2 and 3
An example of detailed operation will be described using figures. First, destination display and storage of destination calling numbers and corresponding codes operate as follows. That is, when a key is pressed on the keyboard 18, this signal is read by the facsimile control program 28 stored in the storage device 26, and branches at step 811 depending on the type of key, and each process is performed. Although these keys are housed on the same keyboard 18, they are roughly classified according to their meanings. In other words, there are three types of keys: numeric keys for inputting the called party's calling number, control keys for instructing facsimile operation control, and code keys for indicating codes corresponding to pairs of destination cover and destination calling number, each of which has a numeric key control circuit. 16. Control key circuit 23. The reading operation is controlled by the code designation key control circuit 20. A display screen 11 is provided as a means for displaying messages from the facsimile to the operator, and the display contents and display timing are determined by the facsimile control program 28.

column is processed. In other words, a normal key operation generally starts with pressing the registration start key among the control keys, but it is determined in step 812 whether this input was pressed in the correct state, and if it is correct, a code press request is sent to the display screen 11 in step 813. Display the message. Next, when the code is input normally, the column of symbol B is processed, and in S15 it is checked whether the IF"F condition is normal, and if it is correct, 816~S
In step 21, the necessary digits of the code key are stored. When the required number of code digits is pressed, the value is stored in the current code storage table 29. If the required digits are exceeded, an error message is displayed at 818, and when the required digits are reached, a message is outputted at 820 to prompt the user to input the destination call number. If there is a numeric key that is the destination number, the string of symbols is processed, and in step S30 it is first checked to see if it has been entered correctly, and if it is incorrect, an error message is displayed in step 835. The destination call number is also stored in the current destination call number table 34 in main memory 26.

Its normality is checked in S22. If correct, the facsimile control program 28 reads the facsimile input scanner device 35 into the communication sofa 30 via the I10 bus 38 in S23. Then, it is confirmed in 824 that the image has been read normally, and the codec program is started in 825 for image compression, and the output is stored in the codec output buffer 32. The compressed information of the input code, destination call number, and destination cover page is collectively written to the external storage device 50 with a pointer added thereto in step 826. After this, a normal registration completion message is displayed on the screen, and the registration completion status is set in the control switch area at step 828. This completes the registration operation. Next, when starting transmission, first press the registration start key using the control key manually, as in the case of registration.

Furthermore, it is possible to omit the procedure of creating destination information and reading it as the first page each time when transmitting to a destination that is frequently transmitted. By sharing the same code, it is also possible to eliminate the work of multiple people. In this way, if you register in advance, even if you need to quickly send the same information to multiple recipients at the same time, you can quickly send it by simply pressing the code keys separately, without having to create a cover page for each of these multiple recipients.
