However, in reality, this wire harness is often passed through gaps between automobile parts or bent along the shape of the parts, so a much more complex shape than the one shown in Fig. 6 is required. Also, if the wire bundle is thick, it is necessary to bend it into a predetermined shape and fix it in advance.

A conventional method for bending and flattening a wire harness into a predetermined shape is to wind it with a tape containing heat or ultraviolet curable resin, form it into the desired shape, and then harden it (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 59-1991) -127317).

Figures 7 and 8 show deformed parts of a conventional wire harness, and Figure 7 shows a large number of wire bundles 7 wound into a flat bent shape with a curable tape 8, and then hardened with heat or ultraviolet rays. FIG. 8 shows a flattened image in the same manner.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As mentioned above, the bent portion of a conventional wire harness is made by wrapping a tape containing a curable resin, bending it into a desired shape, and then curing it. However, tape coated or impregnated with a curable resin (prepreg tape) is sticky, so winding it around a bundle of wires is extremely inefficient. Dimensional accuracy decreases due to misalignment,
It was difficult to create a bend at an accurate angle.

[Structure of the Invention] (Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a wire harness in which a bundle of wires made up of a plurality of wires is bent into a predetermined shape. It is characterized by being coated and cured with a single sheet containing a curable resin, and its manufacturing method involves applying a sheet prepreg containing a curable resin to a gutter-like jig bent into a predetermined shape. The prepreg is characterized in that, after a wire bundle is passed through the prepreg, heat or ultraviolet rays are irradiated to harden the prepreg into a predetermined shape.

(Function) The sheet-like prepreg of the present invention is placed in a gutter-like jig with a predetermined shape, so that it bends according to the shape of the jig, wraps around the wire bundle placed on it, and hardens in that shape. be done. Since this prepreg is a single sheet, there is no need for tape winding, and when it is cured, it precisely matches the shape of the jig, providing high-precision J-method stability.

Although the jig 9 is made of transparent plastic in this example,
It doesn't necessarily have to be transparent. If the covering cured resin described later is thermosetting, it is necessary to use a material that does not deform at the curing temperature. In that sense, it may be made of metal.

The shape of the jig is determined by the purpose of the harness, specifically the type of car, and where the bending part will be placed on the car. Therefore, use the desired thickness, angle, etc.
In addition, a presser is used to flatten it.

The prepreg sheet 10 is made of ordinary cloth coated with resin or impregnated with resin liquid, etc., and cut into an appropriate size, and if necessary, cuts 11 are made to make it easier to bend. The resin is cured by heat (infrared rays), ultraviolet rays, radiation, electron beams, etc., and epoxy-based or unsaturated polyester-based resins are usually used.
