PURPOSE:To improve the sheet width accuracy and yield of a strip by setting a minimum value of variations in sheet width as a control target value and to control a tension between stands so that a measured sheet width value agrees with the target value. CONSTITUTION:A sheet width gage 3 is installed between stands of a rear stage rolling mill 2 of a hot continuous rolling mill and a sheet width minimum value detector 4 and a tension arithmetic unit 5 are also installed immediately after the gage 3. け板幅信号を遅らせ、その板幅偏差信号に対応して圧延
機の張力調整を行なう板幅制御装置(特公昭5B−51

【発明が解決しようとする課題1 従来の前記■■の板幅制御手段はいずれも板幅検出値に
基づいてスタンド間張力を調整する方法であるが、いず
れも制御目標となる板幅目標値が設定されていないため

ばよいかが不明であり、場合によっては板幅が狭くなり
過ぎることがある等、必ずしも板幅を適正に制御し得る
方法とは言い得ないものでおった。 この発明は上記問題点にかんがみなされたものであり、
制御目標値を設定することによって適正な板幅制御を可
能とする方法を提案せんとするものである。 (課題を解決するための手段] この発明に係る鋼板の板幅制御方法は、熱間連続圧延機
の後段スタンド間に設けた板幅計の測定値に基づいて張
力を調整して板幅制御を行なうに際し、板先端の測定値
が極小値となった時点における板幅、または板先端が板
幅計を通過した時点より所定時間内または所定長さ内で
の板幅極小値を制御目標値として設定し、板幅計測値が
この制御目標値になるよう各スタンド間張力を制御する
ことを特徴とするものである。 (作  用] この発明において、板先端の測定値が極小値となった時
点における板幅、または板先端が板幅計を通過した時点
より所定時間内または所定長さ内での板幅極小値を制御
目標値として設定することとしたのは、以下に示す理由
による。 すなわち、スタンド間張力を調整して板幅制御を行なう
方法では、張力を高くして板幅を狭くすることは可能で
あるが、張力を低下せしめて板幅を広げることはできな
い。 また、予め高い張力に設定して板幅を制御する場合、張
力を高く設定することは圧延の不安定を招き好ましくな
い。 そのため、この発明では板幅の極小値を制御目標値とし
て設定し、幅縮みの起らないように張力を制御する方法
を採用したのである。 また、板先端が板幅計を通過後所定時間内または所定長
さ内での極小値を目標値として設定する際、長さを採用
する場合はその時の板厚を考慮して設定する。つまり、
板厚が薄い場合は長い値を採用し、板厚が厚い場合は小
さい値を採用する。 次にこの発明方法を図面に基づいて説明する。 第1図はこの発明方法を実施するための装置構成例を示
す概略図であり、(1)はストリップ、(2)は熱間連
続圧延機の後段圧延機スタンド、(3)は板幅計、(4

手方向に高温部と低温部(スキッドマーク)ができる。 低温部では材料が硬く高温部に比べ幅が広い。また、材
料先端は仕上圧延機以前の段階で幅広になるように制御
している。これは、次工程での酸洗溶接時に幅不足を生

を適用した場合の板幅の変化を例示したもので、板幅制
御目標値Waimとなるようにスタンド間張力を制御す
ることによって板幅の変動が大幅に抑制されるのである
