Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a water absorption sheet simply and at a low cost by putting a front sheet and a back sheet, one of which is a semipermeable membrane, one over the other, supplying a bubble-removed water absorptive compound between the two sheets and sealing both edges afterward. CONSTITUTION:In a production process of water absorptive sheet for dehydrating perishable foods without loosing their freshness, a front sheet 1 and a back sheet 2, at least one of, which is a semi-permeable membrane, are continuously supplied respectively so that the one is over the other. A bubble-removed water absorptive compound 3 is continuously supplied in one step between the front and back sheets 1 and 2, and both edges are sealed with heat or an adhesive afterward. The water absorptive sheet is produced in such a simplified process as mentioned above and at a low cost.

As seen in No. 337, a water-absorbing agent is coated in a layer between front and back films to form a sheet. here,
At least one of the films is a semipermeable membrane, and as the water absorbing agent inside, a material having a large water absorbing effect such as an acrylic acid copolymer is used.

On the other hand, continuous manufacturing methods for water-absorbing sheets have also been proposed, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-open Nos. 60-232935 and 60-2.
:1293b, 60-232937, etc. These proposed manufacturing methods generally involve supplying one water-absorbing agent of the water-absorbing composition to one of two heat-sealable sheets, and then adding other constituent materials in the next step. Gluing agents and the like were sequentially supplied, followed by a heat sealing process.

That is, the manufacturing method is to continuously supply the front sheet (1) and the back sheet h (2), at least one of which is a semipermeable membrane, so as to combine two sheets, and then to form the front and back sheets (1) and (2).
The degassed water-absorbing agent composition (3) is continuously supplied in a single stage in the form of a sheet to be laminated, and then both edges are sealed with heat or an adhesive.

Continuously supplying the water-absorbing agent composition (3) in a sheet form in one stage means that it is composed of multiple materials such as a water-absorbing agent, a thickening agent, a softening agent (but not limited to these), etc. This means that the water-absorbing agent composition (3) is supplied between the front and back sheets at once, rather than being supplied separately to each material.

<Function> According to such a manufacturing method, the water absorbent composition (3) is stocked in a storage tank in a pre-mixed state, and this is supplied between the front and back seams 1 using a single extrusion die or the like. It is also possible to easily supply the material intermittently onto the sheet, thereby streamlining the process, simplifying the manufacturing equipment, and further reducing costs.
