A holographic uneven layer HT is provided in which interference fringes corresponding to the wavefront of light from an object are formed of an uneven layer. A metal reflective film 3 such as AJ2 is deposited or sputtered on the surfaces of the information track AT and the uneven layer HT of the hologram, and a protective film 2 is provided on this surface. As shown in FIG. 3, the information track AT and the uneven layer HT of the hologram have a depth Hl (for example, 0.5μ) between the information tracks AT and a depth H2 (for example, 0.05μ) of the uneven layer HT of the hologram. The ratio is preferably as follows.

Using a hologram optical device 40 as shown in FIG. 5, the object light LK2 and reference light LKI of the object 41 are irradiated onto the resist 11 surface of the photosensitive substrate 10 to form hologram interference fringes. Subsequently, without developing, bits according to recording information such as CD format are formed on the resist 11 surface of the same photosensitive substrate 10 using laser beam LK3 as shown in FIG. 6, and then developed to form information tracks as shown in FIG. 7. An original plate 20 having a textured layer HT and a hologram was manufactured. After manufacturing a stamper 30 (for example, made of nickel) as shown in FIG. 8 based on this master plate 20, injection molding (mold Tightening force 4
5 tons) to produce a base material 4 as shown in FIG. 10th
As shown in the figure, after forming a metal reflective film 3 (800 mm thick) such as Al on this surface, a protective film 2 (10 μm thick) is provided as shown in Figure 2, and a compact disc (120 mmφ, 1.2
m thickness) was manufactured. This compact disc had a bright hologram, and at the same time, when played on a CD player, the sound quality was the same as that of commercially available software. It was also confirmed that a reproduced C/N of 44 db with a bandwidth of 30KIIZ and a symbol error rate of lXl0-' can be obtained.
