べることがあり、さらに香料に揮散性があるので効力持
続期間も数日程度と短い。ところが、このような忌避性
香料も、辛ラツ性香辛料と組み合わせて、又は芳香性香
辛料と組み合わせて、あるいはこれら三成分を組み合わ
せて用いる場合は、相乗的な忌避効果が認められ、犬、
猫の両方に対して1〜2週間忌避効果が発揮され、特に
三成分を配合した場合に最も効果が大きい。また、粒剤
を調製して散布した場合にも、残飯全体が犬、猫の猟食
による被害を受けず、ハトについても同様に効果がある

及び鳥類のいずれに対しても忌避効果があり、しかも忌
避効果の持続期間もかなり長い。また、本発明の忌避組
成物から調製した粒剤や粉剤を残飯類に散布した場合、
従来の忌避粒剤とは異なり、付着している部分だけでな
く残飯類全体が犬、猫等の猟食による被害を受けず、そ
の効果の及ぶ範囲が広い。従ってまた、本発明の忌避組
成物を散布することによって犬、猫及び鳥類が寄り付か
ないようにする場合にも、広範囲に亘ってしかも長期間
忌避効果を持続できる。さらに、比較的少量で充分な忌
