Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the cultivation period, and increase the yield of mushroom by adding glucosamine to the culture medium of mushrooms. CONSTITUTION:The glucosamine is preferably used in the form of an inorganic acid salt such as hydrochloride. Known cultivation medium may be used such as saw dust, and the amount of glucosamine is 0.3-1.0 wt.%. Glucosamine can be added any time, for example, in the preparation of the culture medium or in the stage of mycelium growth. The yield and the quality of the mushroom are improved by cultivating mushrooms in this culture medium.

(Conventional technology) Mushrooms such as shiitake, nameko, oyster mushroom, and enokitake have traditionally been cultivated using bare water cultivation or sawdust cultivation, but it is now possible to cultivate them by filling the culture medium in a bottle, a type of so-called bottle cultivation or artificial cultivation. It is being done. In such artificial cultivation, in order to increase the utilization efficiency of facilities such as cultivation rooms and increase productivity, it is desired to develop a method to promote mushroom growth and shorten the cultivation period.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In order to satisfy these objectives, methods such as setting up a cultivation room with temperature and humidity optimized depending on the growth process and moving the cultivation room are used. However, since separate cultivation rooms are created, there are problems such as increased facility costs, and the labor load is increased because the cultivation is concentrated at different times of the year.

The amount of glucosamine added is preferably 0.05% by weight or more, more preferably 0.3 to 1.0% by weight, in the artificial medium. If there is too little glucosamine, the fruiting bodies will not grow properly, and if there is too much glucosamine, the shape of the fruiting bodies may not be normal.

It is also effective to add it when reusing the medium in which fruiting bodies have been generated after harvesting the fruiting bodies. In the case of bare wood, it can be applied in the same manner as artificial cultivation, by immersing the scallop into an aqueous solution of glucosamine or its salt to impregnate it as appropriate.

A medium was prepared, and Enokitake mushroom was inoculated thereto as a test edible mushroom species and cultured. The mouth of the bottle was lightly stoppered with a cloth. As a control, enokitake mushrooms were also inoculated and cultured in a medium to which D-glucosamine hydrochloride was not added (referred to as medium A). In this way, make 2 enoki mushrooms.
After culturing in the light at 0°C for 20 days and observing the growth status of mycelia, it was found that the growth of mycelia was slightly inferior to the control in the group containing 1.0% by weight of D-glucosamine hydrochloride.
In the wt% addition plot, the growth of mycelium was almost the same as in the control.

Table 1 When the same culture test as above was repeated, the mycelium spread after 20 days of culture, so the fungus was scraped off and further culture was carried out. On the 66th day, fruiting bodies were observed in all the sample bottles in the addition group. It was not seen at all in the control.

Example 2 200 grams of water was placed in a 250-liter water tank, and 1 kg of D-glucosamine hydrochloride was added and mixed to completely dissolve it. This aquarium was pre-infested with shiitake mushroom mycelium (
Soak 10 pieces (10 cm in diameter and about 100 cm in length),
It was left standing at a water temperature of 15°C for 24 hours. Afterwards, we pulled the trees out of the aquarium and cultured the shiitake mushrooms. On the other hand, similar scallops were immersed in a water tank containing water without the addition of D-curcosamine hydrochloride, and then shiitake mushrooms were cultured in the same manner for comparison. Table 2 shows the yield and number of fruit bodies by size.

As is clear from the results in Table 2, the glucosamine hydrochloride-added plot according to the present invention has a higher fruiting body yield, and the fruiting bodies are large or medium in size, accounting for 60% or more, and have good flesh quality. On the other hand, in the additive-free plot, the yield is low, with small fruit bodies accounting for about 60%.
