Abstract

PURPOSE:To inexpensively manufacture a single face information recording disk by forming a sucker member at least on a part of a main face. CONSTITUTION:The single face information recording disk 2 consists of a transparent resin base having a disk-like center hole 2a and forms an information signal recording layer 2b on its single face. BACKGROUND ART Information recording disks such as optical video disks are manufactured by bonding two circular substrates, at least one of which has a signal recording layer, with the signal recording layer on the inside. For long-term recording, a signal recording layer is provided on each of these two circular substrates, and for short-term recording, a signal recording layer is provided on only one circular substrate, and the other circular substrate is provided with a signal recording layer. A dummy substrate without a signal recording layer is used. The reason for providing the dummy board is that commercially available disc players have spindle motors that are compatible with the weight and moment of inertia of the double-sided information recording disc, which is made up of two circular boards each provided with a signal recording layer.
