Abstract

CONSTITUTION:An adapter 1 has a center hole 1a with a slightly smaller diameter than that of a center hole 2a of a single information recording disk 2, a ringed centering projection 1b to fit into the center hole 2a is protruded at the edge part of the center hole 1a, and the projection 1b performs the alignment of the adapter 1 for the disk 2. Further at the one surface of the adapter 1 to abut on the disk 2, a ringed electrostatic adhesive layer 1d is provided, and the adapter 1 and the disk 2 are mutually coupled by this layer 1d.

板とすることが行なわれている。ダミー基板を設ける理
由は、既に市販されたディスクプレーヤが各々信号記録
層が設けられた2枚の円形基板を結合して成る両面情報
記録ディスクの重量及び慣性モーメントに適合したスピ
ンドルモータを有し、また、該ディスクの厚さに適合し
たディスククランプ機構を備えているためである。

減が図り易くなっている。また、かかる構成により、ア
ダプタ1と片面情報記録ディスク2を互いに結合させた
状態における全体としての厚さ、重量及び慣性モーメン
トの設定が容易となる。

り、かかる片面情報記録ディスクは信号記録層を有する
1枚の基板のみから成るため、信号記録円形基板の全て
にダミー基板を貼着して製作されていた従来の片面情報
記録ディスクに比してコストが大幅に削減されるのであ
る。
