転写染料層領域がフイルム上に形成された昇華転
写用インクリボンにおいて、前記三色の染料層領
域のリボン送り方向下流側に染料層が形成されて
いない領域を設けてあることを特徴とする昇華転
写用インクリボン。 (2) フイルム上にイエロー、マゼンタ、シアン
の昇華転写用染料層領域とフイルムの送り方向下
流側に染料層が形成されていない領域とがそれぞ
れ設けられたインクリボンに対し染料を昇華転写
するサーマルヘツドと、前記三色の染料層領域を
任意に選択して前記サーマルヘツドにより印刷を
行なつた後、予め設定された温度に前記サーマル
ヘツドを加熱し、前記染料層が形成されていない
領域に前記サーマルヘツドを位置させて再度同一
印刷を行なわせ染料を定着する熱処理手段とを備
えていることを特徴とする昇華転写プリンタ。 (3) 前記熱処理手段が、前記昇華転写染料層が
形成されてインクリボンに対し前記昇華転写用染
料層が形成されていない領域の有無を検出する検
出手段と、この検出手段により前記昇華転写染料
層が形成されていない領域を検出した時に予め設
定された温度に前記サーマルヘツドを加熱する加
熱制御手段とを備えていることを特徴とする請求
項2項に記載の昇華転写プリンタ。 (4) 前記熱処理手段が、前記予め設定された温
度に前記サーマルヘツドを加熱する信号を記憶す
るメモリを含むことを特徴とする請求項2項に記
載の昇華転写プリンタ。 (5) 前記予め設定された温度が、前記昇華転写
用染料層が形成されていない領域で印刷する直前
に前記昇華転写用染料層で印刷した温度であるこ
とを特徴とする請求項2項から4項のいずれか1
項に記載の昇華転写プリンタ。 (6) 前記予め設定された温度が、昇華転写用染
料の最も安定した定着温度であることを特徴とす
る請求項2項から4項のいずれか1項に記載の昇
