Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid failure in hearing an alarm by detecting a noise level around the installing position and generating an audible sound of a larger sound volume as the detected noise level us larger. CONSTITUTION:An alarm sound/call sound generator 1, according to a command received at a terminal 1a from a host-device, generates an alarm sound/call sound urging the intervention of the operator and representing the occurrence of a fault. On the other hand, the surrounding noise is detected by a noise sensor 4a in a noise level detector 4 and converted into a timewise averaged noise level at an LPF 4c. The noise level is fed to an input terminal of the gain control signal of a variable gain amplifier 3a via a variable attenuator 3c. As the level of the gain control signal is increased, the gain of the amplifier 3a is increased. When the surrounding noise level is small, the alarm sound/call sound with a smaller sound volume and when the surrounding noise level us large, the alarm sound/call sound with a large sound volume is outputted from a speaker 2.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In the conventional alarm sound/ringing sound generation device described above, the volume of the audible signal sound is manually adjusted, so the volume of the surrounding noise differs between the time of adjustment and the time of actual generation. If the values are different, there is a problem that some people may feel it is too much, some may feel it is too little, and some people may miss it.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The audible sound generating device of the present invention includes a noise level detecting section that detects the noise level around the installation location, and the higher the detected noise level, the louder the audible sound. The device is equipped with a volume adjustment section for generating audible sound, and is configured to always generate audible sound at an optimal volume depending on the surrounding noise level.

以下、本発明の作用を実施例と共に詳細に説明する。Hereinafter, the operation of the present invention will be explained in detail together with examples.

On the other hand, in the noise level detection unit 4, the noise around the alarm/ringing tone generating device is detected by a noise sensor 4a composed of a microphone, etc., and is amplified by an amplifier 4a. ) is converted into a time-averaged noise level. This noise level is supplied to the gain control signal input terminal of the variable gain amplifier H3a via the variable attenuator 3c of the volume adjustment section 3.

The variable gain amplifier 3a is configured to increase its gain as the level of the gain control signal supplied from the variable attenuator 3C increases. Therefore, when the surrounding noise level is low, a low-volume alarm/ringing tone is emitted from the speaker 2, and conversely, when the surrounding noise level is high, a thicker-volume alarm/ringing tone is emitted. It will be emitted from the speaker 2.
