Description
実施の形態に係る表示装置及びその駆動方法について説明する。
まず、本実施の形態に係る表示装置の全体構成について図1を用いて説明する。図1は、本実施の形態に係る表示装置1の全体構成を示すブロック図である。
続いて画素回路10の回路構成例について図2を用いて説明する。図2は、本実施の形態に係る画素回路10の構成の一例を示す回路図である。図2には、複数の画素回路10のうち、i行j列に配置される画素回路10が示されている。
次に、表示装置1の制御態様及びその効果について、比較例と比較しながら図3~図12を用いて説明する。

次に、本実施の形態に係る表示装置1の制御方法について、図13を用いて説明する。図13は、本実施の形態に係る表示装置1の制御方法の流れを示すフローチャートである。
以上、本開示に係る表示装置などについて、実施の形態に基づいて説明したが、本開示に係る表示装置などは、上記実施の形態に限定されるものではない。実施の形態における任意の構成要素を組み合わせて実現される別の実施の形態や、実施の形態に対して本開示の主旨を逸脱しない範囲で当業者が思いつく各種変形を施して得られる変形例や、本実施の形態に係る処理回路などを内蔵した各種機器も本開示に含まれる。

Claims (4)
- 映像信号に基づいて画像を表示する表示装置の制御方法であって、
前記表示装置は、
マトリクス状に配置される複数の画素回路を有する表示部を備え、
前記複数の画素回路の各々は、第一サブ画素回路及び第二サブ画素回路を有し、
前記第一サブ画素回路は、第一発光素子と、前記第一発光素子に電流を供給する第一駆動トランジスタと、前記映像信号に対応する電荷を保持する第一コンデンサと、前記第一コンデンサに接続される第一書込みトランジスタとを有し、
前記第二サブ画素回路は、第二発光素子と、前記第二発光素子に電流を供給する第二駆動トランジスタと、前記映像信号に対応する電荷を保持する第二コンデンサと、前記第二コンデンサに接続される第二書込みトランジスタとを有し、
前記第二コンデンサの容量は、前記第一コンデンサの容量より小さく、
前記表示装置の制御方法は、
前記表示部に係る温度を検出する検出ステップと、
前記温度に基づいて、前記複数の画素回路の各々の前記第一駆動トランジスタ及び前記第二駆動トランジスタの閾値補償期間を制御する制御ステップとを含み、
前記表示装置の制御方法は、さらに、前記第一発光素子と前記第二発光素子との輝度のバラツキの許容範囲に基づいて、前記閾値補償期間の最小値を決定するステップをさらに含み、
前記制御ステップにおいて、前記閾値補償期間が前記最小値以上となるように制御する
表示装置の制御方法。 - 前記制御ステップは、前記温度が高くなるにしたがって、前記閾値補償期間を短くする
請求項1に記載の表示装置の制御方法。 - 前記第一発光素子は、発光色が青の有機EL素子であり、
前記第二発光素子は、発光色が緑又は赤の有機EL素子である
請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置の制御方法。 - 前記第一書込みトランジスタ及び前記第二書込みトランジスタは、Si系半導体薄膜トランジスタである
請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置の制御方法。
