特許文献2には、合成樹脂モノフィラメントの一端にテーパー部を形成した、ブラシ用毛材が提案されている。テーパー部の断面形状を円形断面とし、テーパー部以外の本体部の断面形状を八葉形とすることにより、液体化粧料に対する優れた塗布性能と、天然獣毛に匹敵する使用感とを兼ね備えた、化粧ブラシ用途に適した毛材であることが具体的に開示されている(特許文献2参照)。

3.前記テーパー状に形成された先細部が分岐していることを特徴とする2.記載の化粧ブラシ用毛材。
4.前記合成樹脂Aと前記合成樹脂Bそれぞれが、ポリエステル系樹脂であることを特徴とする1.~3.の何れか1項に記載の化粧ブラシ用毛材。
5.前記合成樹脂Aと前記合成樹脂Bそれぞれが、ポリトリメチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート及びポリブチレンテレフタレートから選択された1種であることを特徴とする4.記載の化粧ブラシ用毛材。

本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材は、S撚りまたはZ撚りの芯鞘複合モノフィラメントからなる。すなわち、「S撚り毛材(右撚り)」または「Z撚り毛材(左撚り)」の何れかの螺旋構造を有しており、ストレートな繊維や波形状の繊維と異なり、螺旋軸に直交する方向に3次元的な広がりを有する。
このような撚りによる螺旋構造を有する1本の毛材が占める体積は、従来公知のギヤクリンプ方式によって形成される平面的なジグザグ構造の毛材の場合に比べても大きく、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材からなる化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体や化粧ブラシは、静置状態でも毛材同士の重なりや密着が抑制されて内部に空隙部を多く含む、ふんわりとした量感の高いものとなる。さらに、S撚りとZ撚りを組み合わせると、内部の空隙部がより多くなり立体感を高めることができ好ましい。

本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の撚り数は、化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体や化粧ブラシとした際に、粉末状または液状化粧料を保持するための空隙部を隣接する毛材間に形成するために、S撚り、Z撚りいずれの場合も30T/m(ツイスト/m)以上100T/m(ツイスト/m)以下の範囲内になるように設定することが好ましく、40T/m(ツイスト/m)以上90T/m(ツイスト/m)以下の範囲内がより好ましい。撚数が、上記範囲内であれば、繊維の長さ方向に10mmを超え35mm以下の波長幅で螺旋構造を与えることができる。
通常、モノフィラメントに立体感を出すためには、より波長幅を短くするために強撚りとするべきところ、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材では、撚数を小さく(甘撚り)することで波長幅を長くしている。このように撚数を小さくすることで、より立体感のあるブラシ用毛材を得ることができると共に、モノフィラメントを何本か合わせて撚りを掛けた後、梳くことで容易に開繊させることができ、製造効率を向上させ得るという効果も奏する。また、強撚りでは、毛材のコシが硬くなり肌あたりも悪くなりやすい。
一方、波長幅が35mmを越えると、撚りが甘くなって毛材が直線状に近くなるために毛材の3次元的な広がりが少なくなり、毛材間の空隙部が減るので粉末状または液状化粧料の捕集量や保持量が低下しやすくなる。また、波長幅が10mm未満では、毛材同士が絡まりやすくなり、製造効率が低下する。本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の波長幅は、好ましくは11mm以上25mm以下、さらに好ましくは12mm以上20mm以下の範囲である。

Normally, to give a three-dimensional effect to a monofilament, it is necessary to use a strong twist to shorten the wavelength width, but in the cosmetic brush hair material of the present invention, the number of twists is reduced (loose twist) to lengthen the wavelength width. By reducing the number of twists in this way, it is possible to obtain a brush hair material with a more three-dimensional effect, and after twisting several monofilaments together, the fibers can be easily opened by combing, which has the effect of improving manufacturing efficiency. Furthermore, strong twists tend to make the hair material stiff and uncomfortable to the skin.
On the other hand, if the wavelength width exceeds 35 mm, the twist becomes loose and the hair material becomes closer to a straight line, so that the three-dimensional spread of the hair material is reduced, and the gaps between the hair materials are reduced, so that the amount of powdered or liquid cosmetic material collected and retained is likely to decrease. Also, if the wavelength width is less than 10 mm, the hair materials are likely to become entangled, and the manufacturing efficiency is reduced. The wavelength width of the hair material for cosmetic brushes of the present invention is preferably in the range of 11 mm to 25 mm, more preferably 12 mm to 20 mm.
本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材は、S撚りまたはZ撚りの芯鞘複合モノフィラメントの繊維軸と垂直方向の断面が、まゆ型形状のものである。
本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の断面形状について、図1~3に従って説明する。図1、2ともに、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の断面形状概略図である。図3(A)~(C)は、本発明に含まれない断面形状概略図である。
本発明における芯鞘複合モノフィラメント断面のまゆ型形状は、図1に示すように、カイコが作る繭のように長形で中央部分(胴部分)になだらかなくびれがある俵型形状を意味し、図3(A)のような、中央部分(胴部分)にくびれのない断面形状は含まない。また、本発明における芯鞘複合モノフィラメント断面のまゆ型形状は、図2に示すような中央部分(胴部分)に大きなくびれを有するものも含まれるが、図3(B)、(C)のような鋭角な溝のようなくびれを有するものは含まない。
本発明における芯鞘複合モノフィラメント断面のまゆ型形状は、図1、2に示すように、くびれ中央部を基点とし、なだらかなくびれに沿った2つの接線(点線)がなす「角度」が90度より大きく180度より小さいことを特徴とする。本発明における芯鞘複合モノフィラメント断面のまゆ型形状は、この「角度」が100度以上であることが好ましく、120度以上がより好ましく、130度以上がさらに好ましい。本発明に含まれない態様は、図3(B)に示すように、くびれ中央部を基点とし、くびれに沿った2つの接線(点線)がなす「角度」が90度より小さく、鋭角な縦溝が構成されている。
本発明における芯部の繊維軸と垂直方向の断面は、楕円形状である。
化粧ブラシ用毛材は、繊維の長さ方向に縦溝が存在すると、粉末状または液状化粧料に対するキャッチ性(含み性)が向上することを本発明者は確認していた。しかしながら、この縦溝が鋭角(90度以内)の角度を有するものであると、化粧ブラシ用毛材が含んだ粉末状または液状化粧料が、この縦溝に保持されてしまい、リリース性(放出性)が低下することを本発明者は今回初めて見出した。すなわち、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材は、本発明における芯鞘複合モノフィラメント断面を、なだらかな流線形、すなわち、上記「角度」が90度より大きく180度より小さな角度からなるくびれを有するまゆ型形状とすることにより、粉末状または液状化粧料に対するキャッチ&リリース性、特に、リリース性(放出性)に優れる性能を発揮することを見出し、本発明を完成するに至ったものである。

The cocoon-shaped cross section of the sheath-core composite monofilament in the present invention means a long, bale-shaped cross section with a gentle constriction in the central part (body part) like the cocoons made by silkworms as shown in Fig. 1, and does not include a cross section with no constriction in the central part (body part) as shown in Fig. 3(A). The cocoon-shaped cross section of the sheath-core composite monofilament in the present invention also includes one with a large constriction in the central part (body part) as shown in Fig. 2, but does not include one with a constriction like an acute groove as shown in Fig. 3(B) and (C).
The cocoon-shaped cross section of the sheath-core composite monofilament in the present invention is characterized in that, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the "angle" formed by two tangents (dotted lines) along the gentle neck, starting from the center of the neck, is greater than 90 degrees and smaller than 180 degrees. In the cocoon-shaped cross section of the sheath-core composite monofilament in the present invention, this "angle" is preferably 100 degrees or more, more preferably 120 degrees or more, and even more preferably 130 degrees or more. In an embodiment not included in the present invention, as shown in Figure 3(B), the "angle" formed by two tangents (dotted lines) along the neck, starting from the center of the neck, is less than 90 degrees, forming acute-angled longitudinal grooves.
In the present invention, the cross section of the core portion perpendicular to the fiber axis is elliptical.
The present inventors have confirmed that cosmetic brush bristle materials have improved catch (hold) properties for powdered or liquid cosmetics when longitudinal grooves are present in the fiber length direction. However, the present inventors have now found for the first time that when the longitudinal grooves have an acute angle (within 90 degrees), the powdered or liquid cosmetics contained in the cosmetic brush bristle materials are retained in the longitudinal grooves, resulting in reduced release (discharge) properties. That is, the present inventors have found that the cosmetic brush bristle materials of the present invention exhibit excellent catch and release properties for powdered or liquid cosmetics, particularly excellent release (discharge) properties, by forming the cross section of the core-sheath composite monofilament of the present invention into a gentle streamlined shape, i.e., a cocoon-shaped shape with a constriction with an angle of more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees, and have thus completed the present invention.
本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の断面形状について、図1に従いさらに詳しく説明する。図1中の斜線部分が本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の鞘部であり、ドット部分が本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の芯部を意味する。
図1におけるaは、本発明の鞘部の長径(以下、鞘部長径aという。)、bは鞘部のくぼみ幅(以下、鞘部くぼみ幅bという。)、cは鞘部の短径(以下、鞘部短径cという。)、dは鞘部のくぼみ径(以下、鞘部くぼみ径dという。)を、eは、本発明の芯部の長径(以下、芯部長径eという。)、fは芯部の短径(以下、芯部短径fという。)を意味する。
本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材においては、鞘部長径aは100μm以上200μm以下の範囲にあり、中でも、105μm以上170μm以下の範囲が好ましく、110μm以上160μm以下の範囲がより好ましい。鞘部くぼみ幅bは鞘部長径aの40%以上75%以下の範囲にあり、鞘部短径cは10μm以上100μm以下の範囲にあり、鞘部くぼみ径dは鞘部短径cの40%以上95%以下である。鞘部長径aと鞘部くぼみ径dとのアスペクト比(a/d)は、1以上3以下の範囲にあると好ましい。また、鞘部くぼみ径dと鞘部短径cとの比率(d/c)は、0.4以上1.0未満の範囲にあると好ましい。
また、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材においては、芯部長径eと鞘部長径aとの比率(e/a)は、0.5以上0.9以下の範囲にあると好ましく、0.6以上0.8以下の範囲にあるとより好ましい。また、芯部短径fと鞘部短径cとの比率(f/c)は、0.5以上0.9以下の範囲にあると好ましく、0.6以上0.8以下の範囲にあるとより好ましい。
鞘部長径a、鞘部くぼみ幅b、鞘部短径c、鞘部くぼみ径d、芯部長径e、芯部短径fが、上記の範囲にあると、粉末状または液状化粧料に対するキャッチ&リリース性において、優れた性能を発揮する。

In the cosmetic brush hair material of the present invention, the sheath length diameter a is in the range of 100 μm or more and 200 μm or less, preferably in the range of 105 μm or more and 170 μm or less, and more preferably in the range of 110 μm or more and 160 μm or less. The sheath recess width b is in the range of 40% or more and 75% or less of the sheath length diameter a, the sheath minor diameter c is in the range of 10 μm or more and 100 μm or less, and the sheath recess diameter d is in the range of 40% or more and 95% or less of the sheath minor diameter c. The aspect ratio (a/d) of the sheath length diameter a to the sheath recess diameter d is preferably in the range of 1 to 3. In addition, the ratio (d/c) of the sheath recess diameter d to the sheath minor diameter c is preferably in the range of 0.4 to less than 1.0.
In the hair material for cosmetic brushes of the present invention, the ratio of the core length diameter e to the sheath length diameter a (e/a) is preferably in the range of 0.5 to 0.9, more preferably in the range of 0.6 to 0.8, and the ratio of the core minor diameter f to the sheath minor diameter c (f/c) is preferably in the range of 0.5 to 0.9, more preferably in the range of 0.6 to 0.8.
When the sheath long diameter a, sheath recess width b, sheath short diameter c, sheath recess diameter d, core long diameter e, and core short diameter f are within the above ranges, excellent performance is exhibited in terms of catch and release properties for powdered or liquid cosmetics.

ここで、本発明における「種類が異なる」とは、合成樹脂Aを構成する合成樹脂と合成樹脂Bを構成する合成樹脂の種類が少しでも異なることを意味する。後述する実施例において、例えば、実施例1の芯部はポリブチレンテレフタレートで、鞘部はポリトリメチレンテレフタレートで構成されている。このように、芯部を構成する合成樹脂Aであるポリブチレンテレフタレートと、鞘部を構成する合成樹脂Bであるポリトリメチレンテレフタレートとは、それぞれ種類が異なる態様を、本発明では、「芯部が合成樹脂A、鞘部が合成樹脂Aとは種類が異なる合成樹脂Bよりそれぞれ構成される」と特定している。
同様に、実施例2は、芯部はポリブチレンテレフタレートで、鞘部はポリトリメチレンテレフタレートとポリブチレンテレフタレートで構成されており、これも、芯部を構成する合成樹脂Aと鞘部を構成する合成樹脂Bの種類が異なる態様を示す具体例である。
この合成樹脂A、合成樹脂Bとしては、それぞれポリアミド系樹脂、ポリオレフィン系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂などの合成樹脂の1種または2種以上を選択または組み合わせて使用することができるが、合成樹脂Aと合成樹脂Bは種類が異なることが重要である。これらの中でも、合成樹脂Aと合成樹脂Bは、ポリエステル系樹脂の中から選択されることが、化粧ブラシ用毛材として適度の剛性と耐久性を有すると共に、押出加工、撚り加工、先細加工等に優れているため好適である。中でも、合成樹脂Aと合成樹脂Bは、それぞれポリトリメチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリ乳酸等のポリエステル系樹脂から選択された1種であることが好ましい。特に、適度な柔軟性と弾性とを具備する点において、合成樹脂Aと合成樹脂Bは、それぞれポリトリメチレンテレフタレート(PTT)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)から選択された1種であることがより好ましい。本発明の芯鞘複合モノフィラメントは、本発明の目的を阻害しない範囲であれば、耐熱剤、耐候剤、可塑剤、着色剤等の慣用添加剤を含むことができる。

Similarly, in Example 2, the core is composed of polybutylene terephthalate and the sheath is composed of polytrimethylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate, which is also a specific example showing an embodiment in which the synthetic resin A constituting the core and the synthetic resin B constituting the sheath are of different types.
The synthetic resin A and the synthetic resin B may be one or more of polyamide resins, polyolefin resins, polyester resins, etc., or may be used in combination, but it is important that the synthetic resin A and the synthetic resin B are different in type. Among these, it is preferable that the synthetic resin A and the synthetic resin B are selected from polyester resins, since they have appropriate rigidity and durability as bristle materials for cosmetic brushes and are excellent in extrusion processing, twisting processing, taper processing, etc. Among these, it is preferable that the synthetic resin A and the synthetic resin B are each one selected from polyester resins such as polytrimethylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, and polylactic acid. In particular, it is more preferable that the synthetic resin A and the synthetic resin B are each one selected from polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), in terms of having appropriate flexibility and elasticity. The core-sheath composite monofilament of the present invention may contain conventional additives such as heat stabilizers, weather stabilizers, plasticizers, colorants, etc., so long as the object of the present invention is not impaired.
本発明の化粧ブラシは、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材または本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体を、少なくとも一部に使用したことを特徴とするものである。より詳しくは、本発明の化粧ブラシは、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材または本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体を、化粧ブラシ用毛材全体の10重量%以上含有することが好ましく、20重量%以上含有することがより好ましく、25重量%以上含有することがさらに好ましく、30重量%以上含有することが特に好ましい。
本発明の化粧ブラシは、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材または本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体を、化粧ブラシ用毛材全体の10重量%以上100重量%以下の範囲において含有することにより、粉末状または液状化粧料に対するキャッチ&リリース性において、天然獣毛を用いた化粧ブラシより優れた性能を発揮することができるほか、肌への触感性に優れた柔らかさと弾力性を兼ね備える点においても、天然獣毛を用いた化粧ブラシに近似したものとすることができる。特に、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材または本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体を、化粧ブラシ用毛材全体の30重量%以上含有する本発明の化粧ブラシは、本発明の効果を十分に発揮することができる。
本発明の化粧ブラシは、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材または本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材集合体以外は、ナイロン繊維やポリエステル繊維などの合成繊維からなる化粧ブラシ用毛材を使用することができる。
また、本発明の化粧ブラシにおいては、芯鞘複合モノフィラメントの先端が、テーパー状に形成された先細部を備えるように加工されていることが好ましい。さらに、このテーパー状に形成された先細部が分岐するように加工されているとより好ましい。このように先端部を加工することにより、化粧料の塗布時において肌あたりがよくなり、天然獣毛により近い優れた触感が得られる。

The cosmetic brush of the present invention can use cosmetic brush bristles made of synthetic fibers such as nylon fibers and polyester fibers, other than the cosmetic brush bristles or the cosmetic brush bristles of the present invention.
In the cosmetic brush of the present invention, the tip of the core-sheath composite monofilament is preferably processed to have a tapered tip portion. More preferably, the tapered tip portion is processed to branch. By processing the tip portion in this manner, the feel on the skin during application of cosmetics is improved, and an excellent feel closer to that of natural animal hair is obtained.

次に、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材の製造方法の1例について説明する。

さらに必要に応じて染色処理を行ってもよい。染料は分散染料を使用できるが、耐候堅牢度が5級以上のものが、化粧ブラシの使用時に変色や退色が少ないことから好ましい。また、染料は公知の染色キャリヤー剤を併用してもよいが、染色キャリヤー剤を必要としない高圧染色であることが好ましい。また、モノフィラメントの製造原料に、カーボンブラックや各種顔料などを添加してもよい。この場合には染色時の染料が節約できるばかりか、用途によっては染色を行う必要がないなどの点で好ましい。

また、S撚りの化粧ブラシ用毛材とZ撚りの化粧ブラシ用毛材とがほぼ均一に混合されてなる化粧ブラシの塗布部は、0.3g/cm3~0.5g/cm3の毛密度であることが好ましい。化粧ブラシの塗布部の毛密度が、上述の範囲であれば、塗布部に立体感があり、塗布部の先端部分が広がりボリューム感が出ることで、天然の獣毛を用いた塗布具に近似したものとなり、粉末状または液状化粧料の塗布に適したものとなる。

本発明の化粧ブラシにおける、パウダーキャッチ性(含み性)について評価する試験を行った。本発明における、パウダーキャッチ性(含み性)とは、化粧ブラシに対する粉末状化粧料の粉付きを示すものである。
(試験検体)
上記製造例により製造した、化粧ブラシ1~6、比較例化粧ブラシ1~7のほか、評価基準として獣毛の化粧ブラシの最高級品として消費者から高い評価を得ている市販の山羊毛(粗光峰)の化粧ブラシを使用して、粉末状化粧料(株式会社資生堂製:インテグレートミネラルグロープレストパウダー)のパウダーキャッチ性(含み性)を、表面性試験機(株式会社トリニティーラボ製、商品名:トリラボ ハンディーラブテスター Type:TL701)を用いて評価した。
(試験方法)
粉末状化粧料が充填された円形容器(直径:5.5cm)を、上記表面性試験機の接触子に略垂直に両面テープで貼り付けた。粉末状化粧料の表面に、試験検体である化粧ブラシの穂先部が略直角に接するように、各試験検体を回転台に取り付け、試験台に対して水平となるように固定した。
化粧ブラシの穂先部を粉末状化粧料の表面に対して、10回スイープさせて(速度:6rpm、回転半径:100mm、回転角度:90度)、化粧ブラシの穂先部に粉末状化粧料をピックアップさせた。
各試験検体のパウダーキャッチ性は、試験終了前後の化粧ブラシの重量を計測し、その重量差を10回パウダーキャッチ量(以下、「含み量」という。)として評価した。
なお、未使用の化粧ブラシについては、上記試験方法により、粉末状化粧料の表面を10回スイープさせて粉末状化粧料を捕集させた後、当該化粧ブラシをティッシュペーパーにスイープさせて、ティッシュに粉末状化粧料が付着しなくなるまで放出させたものを試験検体として使用した。
試験は2回行い、各試験検体の平均値を、獣毛化粧ブラシの「含み量」と比較して、以下の基準で評価し、その結果を下記表1にまとめて示した。
[評価基準]
1:獣毛の化粧ブラシの含み量の1倍以上
2:獣毛の化粧ブラシの含み量の0.8倍以上1倍未満
3:獣毛の化粧ブラシの含み量の0.8倍未満
<Evaluation of cosmetic brush usability 1: Evaluation of powder catchability>
A test was carried out to evaluate the powder catchability (holdability) of the cosmetic brush of the present invention. In the present invention, the powder catchability (holdability) refers to the adhesion of powdered cosmetic material to the cosmetic brush.
(Test specimen)
In addition to the cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 and comparative cosmetic brushes 1 to 7 manufactured according to the above manufacturing examples, a commercially available goat hair (Soukouho) cosmetic brush that is highly regarded by consumers as the highest quality animal hair cosmetic brush was used as the evaluation standard to evaluate the powder catchability (holdability) of a powder cosmetic material (Integrate Mineral Glow Pressed Powder, manufactured by Shiseido Co., Ltd.) using a surface property tester (Trinity Lab Co., Ltd., product name: Trilab Handy Lab Tester Type: TL701).
(Test method)
A circular container (diameter: 5.5 cm) filled with a powdered cosmetic material was attached to the contact of the surface property tester with double-sided tape approximately perpendicularly. Each test specimen was attached to a rotating table so that the tip of the cosmetic brush contacted the surface of the powdered cosmetic material at approximately a right angle, and fixed horizontally to the test table.
The tip of the cosmetic brush was swept over the surface of the powdered cosmetic ten times (speed: 6 rpm, rotation radius: 100 mm, rotation angle: 90 degrees) to allow the tip of the cosmetic brush to pick up the powdered cosmetic.
The powder catchability of each test specimen was evaluated by measuring the weight of the cosmetic brush before and after the test, and the weight difference was expressed as the amount of powder caught 10 times (hereinafter referred to as "powder catch amount").
In addition, for an unused cosmetic brush, the surface of the powdered cosmetic was swept 10 times using the above-mentioned test method to collect the powdered cosmetic, and then the cosmetic brush was swept across tissue paper until no more powdered cosmetic adhered to the tissue, and this was used as a test specimen.
The test was carried out twice, and the average value of each test sample was compared with the "pickup amount" of the animal hair cosmetic brush and evaluated according to the following criteria. The results are summarized in Table 1 below.

1: 1x or more the amount of makeup contained in an animal hair makeup brush 2: 0.8x or more and less than 1x the amount of makeup contained in an animal hair makeup brush 3: Less than 0.8x the amount of makeup contained in an animal hair makeup brush
下記表1に示したとおり、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材からなる化粧ブラシ1~6は、市販されている山羊毛の化粧ブラシと比べると、パウダーキャッチ量が約1.1~1.6倍程度多くなることが確認された。また、円形状の断面形状を有する芯鞘複合モノフィラメントからなる比較例ブラシ1~7に比べると、パウダーキャッチ量が約1.2~2.2倍程度多いことが確認された。
本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材は、撚り、特定の断面形状及び芯鞘構造という3つの特異的な立体形状の組み合わせにより相乗効果を発揮し、パウダーキャッチ性(含み性)に優れた化粧ブラシとし得ることが、この評価結果より明らかとなった。
As shown in Table 1 below, it was confirmed that the cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 made of the cosmetic brush hair material of the present invention had about 1.1 to 1.6 times more powder catch than a commercially available cosmetic brush made of goat hair. Also, it was confirmed that the cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 had about 1.2 to 2.2 times more powder catch than the comparative brushes 1 to 7 made of core-sheath composite monofilament having a circular cross-sectional shape.
The evaluation results made clear that the hair material for cosmetic brushes of the present invention exerts a synergistic effect by combining three specific three-dimensional shapes: twisting, a specific cross-sectional shape, and a core-sheath structure, and can be used to create a cosmetic brush with excellent powder-catching (holding) properties.
<化粧ブラシの使用性能の評価2:発色、広がり性に関する評価>
(試験検体)
上記「化粧ブラシの使用性能の評価1」と同じ化粧ブラシ1~6、比較例化粧ブラシ1~7のほか、評価基準として獣毛の化粧ブラシの最高級品として消費者から高い評価を得ている市販の山羊毛(粗光峰)の化粧ブラシを使用して、粉末状化粧料(株式会社資生堂製:インテグレートミネラルグロープレストパウダー)を用いて評価した。
(試験方法)
試験検体である化粧ブラシを粉末状化粧料の表面で3回転させて、化粧ブラシの穂先部に粉末状化粧料をピックアップさせて、これをティッシュペーパー上で10回転させた。このティッシュペーパー上の化粧料の発色と広がりについて、パネラー10人(成年女性)が下記評価基準により評価し、最多評価を評価結果として、下記表1にまとめて示した。なお、下記評価基準のA、Bは化粧ブラシとして実用上問題がなく、C、Dは化粧ブラシとして実用上問題がある。
[評価基準]
A:発色は獣毛化粧ブラシと同等であり、広がりは均一な塗布状態である。
B:発色:獣毛化粧ブラシと同等であり、広がり範囲がAより狭いが均一な塗布状態である。
C:発色:獣毛化粧ブラシより弱く、広がりはBと同等である。
D:発色:獣毛化粧ブラシより弱く、広がり範囲がBより狭い。
<Evaluation of cosmetic brush usability 2: Evaluation of color development and spreadability>
(Test specimen)
In addition to the same cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 and comparative cosmetic brushes 1 to 7 as in "Evaluation 1 of the usability of cosmetic brushes," a commercially available cosmetic brush made of goat hair (Soukouho), which is highly regarded by consumers as the highest quality animal hair cosmetic brush, was used as the evaluation standard, and a powder cosmetic (Integrate Mineral Glow Pressed Powder, manufactured by Shiseido Co., Ltd.) was used to evaluate.
(Test method)
The cosmetic brush, which is a test specimen, was rotated three times on the surface of the powdered cosmetic, and the tip of the cosmetic brush was made to pick up the powdered cosmetic, which was then rotated ten times on tissue paper. The color development and spread of the cosmetic on the tissue paper were evaluated by 10 panelists (adult females) according to the following evaluation criteria, and the most common evaluations are summarized in Table 1 below as evaluation results. In addition, A and B in the following evaluation criteria are practically acceptable as a cosmetic brush, and C and D are practically problematic as a cosmetic brush.
[Evaluation criteria]
A: The color is the same as with a animal hair cosmetic brush, and the product spreads evenly.
B: Color development: The same as with an animal hair cosmetic brush. The spreading range is narrower than A, but the application is uniform.
C: Color: Weaker than that of an animal hair makeup brush, and spread is the same as B.
D: Color development: weaker than that of animal hair makeup brushes, and the spread range is narrower than B.
下記表1に示したとおり、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材からなる化粧ブラシ1~6は、発色、広がり性において実用上問題がない化粧ブラシであることが確認された。一方、円形状の断面形状を有する芯鞘複合モノフィラメントからなる比較例ブラシ1~7は、発色、広がり性において実用上問題がある化粧ブラシであることが明らかとなった。As shown in Table 1 below, it was confirmed that cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 made of the cosmetic brush hair material of the present invention are cosmetic brushes with no practical problems in terms of color development and spreading. <化粧ブラシの使用性能の評価3:肌への触感性に関する評価>
(試験検体)
上記「化粧ブラシの使用性能の評価1」と同じ化粧ブラシ1~6、比較例化粧ブラシ1~7のほか、評価基準として獣毛の化粧ブラシの最高級品として消費者から高い評価を得ている市販の山羊毛(粗光峰)の化粧ブラシを使用して評価した。
(試験方法)
試験検体である化粧ブラシを、パネラー10人(成年女性)が自身の肌に使用して、その触感性を下記評価基準により評価し、最多評価を評価結果として、下記表1にまとめて示した。なお、下記評価基準の1、2は化粧ブラシとして実用上問題がなく、3は化粧ブラシとして実用上問題がある。
[評価基準]
1:肌表面で柔軟に動き、全体が肌表面に追従し触感性は良好である。
2:1に比べて触感性はやや劣るが、実用上問題はない。
3:適度な張りと柔軟性に欠け、毛束のバラツキ感があり触感性が悪い。
<Evaluation of cosmetic brush usability 3: Evaluation of feel on skin>

(Test method)
Ten panelists (adult women) used the test specimen, a makeup brush, on their own skin and evaluated its tactile sensation according to the following evaluation criteria, with the most common evaluations being summarized in the following Table 1. In addition, evaluation criteria 1 and 2 below indicate that there is no practical problem as a makeup brush, and 3 indicates that there is a problem in practical use as a makeup brush.
[Evaluation criteria]
1: It moves flexibly on the skin surface, conforms to the skin surface as a whole, and has a good tactile sensation.
The feel is slightly inferior to that of 2:1, but this does not pose a problem in practical use.
3: Lacking appropriate tension and flexibility, the hair strands are uneven and have a poor feel.
下記表1に示したとおり、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材からなる化粧ブラシ1~6は、触感性が優れるもしくは良好であり、実用上問題がない化粧ブラシであることが確認された。一方、円形状の断面形状を有する芯鞘複合モノフィラメントからなる比較例ブラシ1~7は、触感性が悪く実用上問題がある化粧ブラシであることが明らかとなった。As shown in Table 1 below, it was confirmed that cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 made of the cosmetic brush hair material of the present invention have excellent or good tactile sensation and are cosmetic brushes with no practical problems. 上記「化粧ブラシの使用性能の評価1」と同じ化粧ブラシ1~6、比較例化粧ブラシ1~7のほか、評価基準として獣毛の化粧ブラシの最高級品として消費者から高い評価を得ている市販の山羊毛(粗光峰)の化粧ブラシを使用して、表面性試験機(株式会社トリニティーラボ製、商品名:トリラボ ハンディーラブテスター Type:TL701)を用いて評価した。
(試験方法)
上記表面性試験機の接触子の表面に、試験検体である化粧ブラシの穂先部が略直角に接するように、各試験検体を回転台に取り付け、試験台に対して水平となるように固定した。
化粧ブラシの穂先部を表面性試験機の接触子の表面に対して、水平方向に動かし(速度:6rpm、回転角度:90度)、その際の垂直方向と水平方向にかかる力の最大値を計測した。
垂直方向の計測値は化粧ブラシの毛束が回復しようとする力で、化粧ブラシの弾力性を表す指標として、水平方向の計測値は接触子を押し込む力で、化粧ブラシの柔らかさを表す指標として評価した。
計測は3回行い、その平均値を下記表1と図4にまとめて示した。

(Test specimen)
In addition to the cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 and comparative cosmetic brushes 1 to 7 that were the same as those in "Evaluation of the usability of cosmetic brushes 1" above, a commercially available cosmetic brush made of goat hair (Soukouho), which is highly regarded by consumers as the highest quality animal hair cosmetic brush, was used as the evaluation standard, and evaluation was performed using a surface property tester (manufactured by Trinity Lab Co., Ltd., product name: Trilab Handy Lab Tester Type: TL701).
(Test method)
Each test specimen was attached to a rotating table so that the tip of the cosmetic brush as a test specimen was in contact with the surface of the contact of the surface property tester at a substantially right angle, and was fixed horizontally to the test table.
The tip of the cosmetic brush was moved horizontally against the surface of the contact of the surface property tester (speed: 6 rpm, rotation angle: 90 degrees), and the maximum force applied in the vertical and horizontal directions was measured.
The vertical measurement value is the force with which the bristles of the makeup brush try to recover, and is evaluated as an indicator of the elasticity of the makeup brush, while the horizontal measurement value is the force with which the contacts are pressed, and is evaluated as an indicator of the softness of the makeup brush.
The measurements were carried out three times, and the average values are shown in Table 1 below and FIG.
下記表1と図4に示したとおり、本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材からなる化粧ブラシ1~6は、円形状の断面形状を有する芯鞘複合モノフィラメントからなる比較例ブラシ1~7に比べて、弾力と柔らかさを兼ね備えた化粧ブラシであることが明らかとなった。As shown in Table 1 and Figure 4 below, it has become clear that cosmetic brushes 1 to 6 made from the cosmetic brush hair material of the present invention are cosmetic brushes that combine elasticity and softness compared to comparative example brushes 1 to 7 made from core-sheath composite monofilament having a circular cross-sectional shape.
上記「化粧ブラシの使用性能の評価1~4」の評価結果とまとめて、表1に示す。表1中の「PBT」はポリブチレンテレフタレートを、「PTT」はポリトリメチレンテレフタレートを、「PET」はポリエチレンテレフタレートを意味する。
本発明の化粧ブラシ用毛材は、撚りすなわちS撚りまたはZ撚りと、まゆ型形状の特定の断面形状及び芯鞘構造という3つの特異的な立体形状を有するものである。異なる材質からなる芯部と鞘部の2層構造とすることにより、柔らかさと反発力のバランスが良好となり、肌への触感性に優れた柔らかさと弾力性を兼ね備える点においても、天然獣毛を用いた化粧ブラシに近似若しくはそれ以上に優れたものとすることができる。また、3つの特異的な立体形状の組み合わせにより相加効果以上の効果を発揮し、粉末状または液状化粧料に対するキャッチ&リリース性において、天然獣毛より優れた性能を実現する。さらに、テーパー状に形成された先細部を備えることにより、天然獣毛に匹敵する触感性や、弾力と柔らかさを兼ね備えた化粧ブラシ用毛材とすることができ有用である。The hair material for cosmetic brushes of the present invention has three specific three-dimensional shapes: twist, i.e., S-twist or Z-twist, a specific cross-sectional shape in the shape of a cocoon, and a core-sheath structure.
