Description
This invention relates to a composite pile fabric product whose front and back surfaces are made of different fabrics.
Conventional composite handkerchiefs, such as those described in
However, when two pieces of fabric are sewn together around their periphery, if a force is applied that pulls the two pieces of fabric apart, the fibers at the edges of the woven fabric may slip off, damaging the bond and causing them to separate. Also, since the connection is only around the periphery, the two pieces of fabric may separate in other areas during use, giving the garment a feeling of floating, which is not very convenient to use.
The objective of this invention is to provide a composite pile fabric product that is highly functional, has thickness and a sense of unity, and is comfortable to use.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the composite pile fabric product of the present invention has a first fabric, a second fabric overlapping the first fabric, and a bonding layer joining the first fabric and the second fabric, the first fabric being a knitted fabric having polyester yarn and having a non-pile outer surface on the side opposite the bonding layer, and the second fabric having a pile outer surface on the side opposite the bonding layer. The first fabric may be a cooling fabric. The second fabric may also be a pile knitted fabric knitted by a warp knitting machine using a first ground yarn, a second ground yarn, and a pile yarn which is a composite yarn of a non-twisted yarn and an insoluble yarn, with the first ground yarn and the second ground yarn forming a base fabric and the pile surface formed by the pile yarn.
The composite pile fabric product of this invention is made by layering and bonding two different types of fabric, which means that the front and back have different properties and can be equipped with a variety of functions. It is also thick enough to give it a sense of volume and a large amount of moisture absorption. The two pieces of fabric are connected on the entire surface, so there is no separation between them, and it has a sense of unity and is easy to use.
The following describes the form for implementing this invention. Figure 1 is a perspective view of a composite pile fabric product, Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the same, and Figure 3 is a perspective view showing a schematic configuration of the composite pile fabric product. The composite
The composite
The
The
The following describes in detail an example of the
An example of the yarn used will be described below. The first ground yarn L1 and the second ground yarn L2 are polyester filament yarns. A composite yarn of untwisted yarn and insoluble yarn is used for the pile yarn L3. This composite yarn is made by combining cotton yarn with another yarn and rotating this combination of yarns in the opposite direction to the twist direction of the cotton yarn, eliminating the twist of the cotton yarn. By using an insoluble yarn as the other yarn, the yarn remains as it is. For example, a thin polyester single yarn is used.
The yarns used in this example are as follows:
First ground yarn L1: polyester filament (75d/36f)
Second ground yarn L2: Polyester filament (75d/36f)
Pile yarn L3: Non-twist yarn made of cotton 30/2 and polyester 20d single yarn
We will now explain the knitting process. The
Each row of warp knitting consists of a set of three yarns. The first ground yarn L1, the second ground yarn L2, and the pile yarn L3 that appears on the outer surface 3a are used in each row as a set.
The first ground yarn L1 (insertion) runs at 00/55", while the second ground yarn L2 (chain stitch) runs at 01/10. It is set at 1-in, 1-out to the needle gauge, and 1/2 gauge.
The pile yarn L3 is 10/56 if you want to make a long pile, but can be 10/34 if you want to make a short pile.
The pile yarn L3 forms a loop-shaped pile on the outer surface 3a of the base fabric 3b. The outer surface 3a is in the state of a normal warp knit pile. The pile yarn L3 is a non-twist yarn, so it has a voluminous feel and is soft to the touch. In this example, an insoluble yarn such as polyester yarn is used, so the yarn wrapped around the non-twist yarn does not come off even when washed with water. This makes it less likely for the non-twist yarn to shed.
The second fabric thus obtained is suitable as a base material for towel products such as hand towels, bath towels, and towel handkerchiefs. This pile knit fabric is particularly suitable for towel handkerchiefs.
The bonding layer will now be described. In the present invention, the
Furthermore, in this example, the periphery is decorated by sewing. In the present invention, the two pieces of fabric are joined by bonding, so there is no need to join the periphery by sewing. However, by providing the
The above explanation has focused on the case where a towel handkerchief is selected as the composite pile fabric product, but we will now explain the case of a scarf or towel scarf. In this case, the
The
