脂肪酸のアルカリ金属塩、いわゆる脂肪酸石けんは古くから使用されている洗浄剤であり、植物油脂の鹸化や、脂肪酸と水酸化カリウムや水酸化ナトリウムとの中和反応により製造されている。鹸化で用いられる植物油脂の多くには不飽和脂肪酸が含まれているが、一般的に不飽和脂肪酸は酸化されやすく、不飽和脂肪酸を配合した脂肪酸のアルカリ金属塩は経時変化により劣化臭の発生や色調の変化といった問題が生じていた。
その対策として、不飽和脂肪酸を含む油脂には、一般的にトコフェロール等の酸化防止剤が使用されており(特許文献1)、この抗酸化作用を目的としてトコフェロールを配合した石けん製品も広く流通している。
酸化防止剤を使用しない場合に、発生する劣化臭を香料でマスキングする方法もあるが、抜本的な解決には至っていない。

色調の評価は、各試料を色彩色差計CR-400(コニカミノルタ株式会社製)にて専用セルを用いΔb*値を測定し、後述する表1の比較例1を作製した直後のΔb*値との差を求め、次の基準で評価した。比較例1は、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムを配合していない、透明の試料である。結果を表1に示す。

〇:差が2.0超~3.0以下
△:差が3.0超~6.0以下
×:差が6.0超
Color Tone Evaluation Color tone was evaluated by measuring the Δb* value of each sample using a special cell with a color difference meter CR-400 (manufactured by Konica Minolta, Inc.), determining the difference from the Δb* value immediately after preparation of Comparative Example 1 in Table 1 described below, and evaluating according to the following criteria. Comparative Example 1 is a transparent sample that does not contain sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate. The results are shown in Table 1.

実施例2~9及び比較例1~4
表1に示す成分を使用して、実施例1と同様に、洗浄剤組成物試料を調製した。トコフェロールを配合する場合は、トコフェロールをグリセリンに分散し、これをpH調整後の混合物に添加した。調製した試料について、実施例1と同様に臭気と色調を評価した。結果を表1に示す。

実施例1を基準として、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムの代わりにトコフェロールとその溶剤としてグリセリンとを配合した比較例2は、色調評価において、時間の経過により許容できない色調変化がみられた。トコフェロールは天然由来成分の酸化防止剤であるが、酸化により赤色を呈するため、色調変化の要因となったと考えられる。一方、比較例2に対してピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムを配合した実施例2は、トコフェロールを含有していても色調評価において色調の変化はみられなかった。 Comparative Example 2, which uses Example 1 as a reference and uses tocopherol and glycerin as its solvent instead of sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate, showed an unacceptable change in color over time in the color evaluation. 脂肪酸カリウムの含有量が少ない比較例4は、洗浄剤として使用したときに非常に泡立ちにくく、使用適性に乏しかった。
脂肪酸カリウムの含有量が多い比較例3は、調製後の組成物が液体ではなく固体となり、液体状洗浄剤組成物を調製できなかった。臭気及び色調の評価は行わなかった。

実施例1を基準として、脂肪酸カリウムを構成する脂肪酸の種類と配合量とを変更した実施例6、8及び9は、透明で液体の洗浄剤組成物が得られ、使用したとき泡立ちがよく、洗浄剤としての使用適性に問題がないことを確認した。
実施例6に対してトコフェロールとその溶剤としてグリセリンとを配合した実施例7は、色調評価において、時間の経過による色調の変化はみられなかった。

実施例10~19及び比較例5~14
表2又は表3に示す成分を使用して、実施例1と同様に、洗浄剤組成物試料を調製した。表2及び表3中、水の含有量の「残分」とは、洗浄剤組成物試料を構成する他の成分の含有量と合計して100質量%となる量を意味する。
調製した試料について、実施例1と同様に臭気と色調を評価した。結果を表2及び表3に示す。

脂肪酸カリウム含有量を種々変更して、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムを配合した実施例10~19は、いずれも透明で液体の洗浄剤組成物が得られ、使用したとき泡立ちがよく、洗浄剤としての使用適性に問題がないことを確認した。臭気評価、色調評価ともに、50℃の過酷な環境においても時間の経過による劣化はみられなかった。
種々の脂肪酸カリウム含有量において、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムの含有量が多い比較例5~14は、液相が分離して液表面に浮遊し、外観上、白濁した。臭気及び色調の評価は行わなかった。

実施例10~19の結果に基づき、脂肪酸カリウムの含有量とピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムの含有量の上限値との相関関係を一次式に近似して導出した。結果を図1に示す。
実施例10~19はいずれも、液体状洗浄剤としての使用適性を具備し、時間の経過による色調変化及び劣化臭の発生が抑制された試料である。一方、比較例5~14はいずれも、液体状洗浄剤としての性状が好ましくない試料である。種々の脂肪酸カリウム含有量において、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムの含有量が実施例10~19における値を上限とする範囲においては、実施例10~19と同様に液体状洗浄剤として好適な試料が得られるものと推測される。

For various fatty acid potassium contents, it is presumed that samples suitable as liquid detergents, similar to those in Examples 10 to 19, can be obtained when the sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate content is within the upper limit range of the values in Examples 10 to 19.
実施例10~19の結果から、図1に示すとおり、脂肪酸カリウムの含有量をx[質量%]、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウムの含有量の上限値をy[質量%]としたときに、脂肪酸カリウムの含有量により、以下の式(1)又は式(2)を満たすことが分かる。
(1)xが3質量%以上、20質量%以下のとき y=0.4x+2.25
(2)xが20質量%より大きく、36質量%以下のとき y=-0.17x+13.5
