かかる構成により、連続的に長期間、二酸化塩素溶液を生成することができる。これは、三室型電解槽を使用することにより、陽イオン交換樹脂の再生処理が不要となるためである。
かかる構成により、二酸化塩素の生成収率をより向上させることができる。
かかる構成により、より安定して酸性化亜塩素酸塩溶液と触媒とを反応させることができる。
かかる構成により、電流効率の低下又は二酸化塩素の収率の低下を防ぐことができる。亜塩素酸イオン濃度が500mg/Lより低いと亜塩素酸塩の酸性化処理において電流効率が悪くなる。10000mg/L以上では、酸性化した亜塩素酸塩溶液のpHが低くなり、触媒との接触前に亜塩素酸イオンの分解反応が進行して二酸化塩素の収率が低下する。
かかる構成により、触媒の寿命の低下又は二酸化塩素の収率の低下を防ぐことができる。pH値が1.0より低いと触媒の寿命が短くなり、pH値が3.0より高いと二酸化塩素の収率が低下する。
かかる構成により、陽イオン交換樹脂の劣化を防ぐことができる。
かかる構成により、二酸化塩素の収率を高くすることができる。

実施例1
図2に示す三室型電解槽100(構成は下記の通り)を用い、イオン交換室140に亜塩素酸ナトリウム溶液(NaClO2)、陽極室110に0.01M硫酸、陰極室120に水を所定流量で連続的に流通させ、定電流にて電解を行った。
三室型電解槽100のイオン交換室出口側より排出される亜塩素酸ナトリウム溶液を採取・分析した。
・イオン交換室、陽極室、陰極室:内寸100×50×20mm
・陽極、陰極:白金コートチタン電極、寸法90×40×0.5mm 電極間距離:60mm
・イオン交換樹脂:UBK-16(三菱ケミカル社)、100mL
・陽イオン交換膜:Nafion(登録商標)117(ケマーズ社)、有効膜面積50cm2
イオン交換室140に陽イオン交換樹脂141を充填しない条件で、実施例1と同様の実験を行った。
実施例2~6
図2に示すように、三室型電解槽100のイオン交換室出口に触媒リアクター200を接続し、触媒リアクター200内に下記白金アルミナ触媒(白金担持量:0.01~0.25質量%)を30mL充填した。亜塩素酸ナトリウム溶液を三室型電解槽100および触媒リアクター200に所定流量で通液し、触媒リアクター200からの排出液の二酸化塩素溶液濃度を測定した。
球状の活性アルミナAl2O3(粒径φ2-4mm、細孔容積0.51mL、比表面積160m2/g)を所定濃度に調製したジニトロジアンミン白金水溶液に含浸し、金属白金換算で0.01質量%、0.11質量%、0.17質量%、0.25質量%、0.50質量%となるよう吸着させた。これを100℃で20分間乾燥させた後、450℃の大気中で5時間焼成して白金アルミナ触媒を得た。
白金アルミナ触媒を白金担持量0.50質量%に変更し、実施例と同様の実験を行った。
また、本実施例により、触媒の白金担持量が少なくなると酸性化亜塩素酸塩との反応速度(LHSV)が低下すること、また亜塩素酸塩溶液の濃度は二酸化塩素収率にほとんど影響しないことが確認された。
実施例4と同条件で、長期間連続して二酸化塩素溶液の生成実験を行った。結果を表3示す。本発明は、1000時間の連続運転後においても、二酸化塩素の生成収率が安定していることが確認された。

Claims (6)
- 三室型電解槽を用いて二酸化塩素溶液を生成する二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法であって、
前記三室型電解槽は、
陽極を備えた陽極室と、
陰極を備えた陰極室と、
前記陽極室と前記陰極室との間に陽イオン交換樹脂が充填されたイオン交換室とを有し、
前記陽極室と前記陰極室と前記イオン交換室とはそれぞれ陽イオン交換膜によって区画されており、
前記イオン交換室に亜塩素酸塩溶液を供給する工程と、
前記陽極室及び前記陰極室に、水及び/又は電解質溶液を供給し電気分解を行うことで前記亜塩素酸塩溶液を酸性化し、酸性化亜塩素酸塩溶液を生成する工程と、
前記酸性化亜塩素酸塩溶液を触媒に接触させる工程とを含み、
前記触媒は、活性アルミナ担体に白金を0.01~0.17質量%担持させた白金アルミナ触媒であることを特徴とする二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法。 - 前記活性アルミナ担体が、比表面積値50~300m2/g、粒子径0.1~10mmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法。
- 前記亜塩素酸塩溶液の濃度が亜塩素酸イオン濃度として500~10000mg/Lであることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法。
- 前記酸性化亜塩素酸塩溶液のpHが1.0~3.0であることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法。
- 前記陽イオン交換樹脂の架橋度が16以上の強酸性陽イオン交換樹脂であることを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法。
- 前記触媒の酸性化亜塩素酸塩との接触速度が、LHSV(液空間速度)で1~100hr-1であることを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の二酸化塩素溶液の生成方法。
