Description
本発明は、国際公開第2020/094747号として公開された当社の国際特許出願、およびその内容が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる未公開の英国特許出願第2006665.0号に記述された概念を発展させる。
本発明の一態様によれば、血管内の障害物を横断するための細長い血管内要素が提供される。本要素は、
近位セクションと、
その近位セクションよりも小さい直径の遠位先端セクションと、
その近位セクションと遠位先端セクションとの間に延在する遠位テーパ状中間セクションと、を備え、
そのテーパ状中間セクションの長さは、実質的に、λ/2、またはλ/2の倍数もしくは偶数分母の分数である数列λ/4、λ/8、…であり、ここで、λは、その要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長である。
Lは、ロッドの長さであり、
ω=システムの固有振動数=2πfである。
ρ=ワイヤ材料の密度である。
Claims (35)
- 血管内の障害物を横断するための細長い血管内要素であって、前記要素が、
近位セクションと、
前記近位セクションよりも小さい直径の遠位先端セクションと、
前記近位セクションと前記遠位先端セクションとの間に延在する遠位テーパ状中間セクションと、を備え、
前記テーパ状中間セクションの長さが、実質的に、λ/2、またはλ/2の倍数もしくは偶数分母の分数である数列λ/2n(ここで、n=2、3、・・・)であり、ここで、λは、前記要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長であり、
前記要素の近位セクションが、前記遠位先端セクションの最適な活性化のために活性化ユニットを結合する際に、ユーザを誘導するための、長手方向に間隔を置いた一連の場所マーカーを用いてマーキングされている、細長い血管内要素。 - 前記場所マーカーが、実質的に、λ/2の距離だけ互いに離間されており、ここで、λは、前記要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長である、請求項1に記載の要素。
- 前記場所マーカーが、前記要素の表面層もしくは仕上げを改質することによって、または、前記要素にコーティングもしくは外被を適用することによって、前記要素に適用される、請求項2に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションの長さが、実質的に、λ/2、またはλ/2の倍数であり、ここで、λは、前記要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションの長さが、実質的に、λである、請求項4に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションの直径が、前記近位セクションの直径の1/8~1/2である、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記近位セクションの直径が、0.014インチ~0.035インチ(約0.36mm~約0.89mm)である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションの直径が、0.003インチ~0.014インチ(約0.08mm~約0.36mm)である、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションの直径が、0.005インチ~0.008インチ(約0.13mm~約0.2mm)である、請求項8に記載の要素。
- 前記要素の遠位先端セクションの直径が、実質的に、0.007インチ(約0.18mm)である、請求項9に記載の要素。
- (2n+1)λ/4の関数または倍数である全長を有し、ここで、λは、前記要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長である、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記近位セクションの長さが、λ/4+nλ/2であり、ここで、λは、前記要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長である、請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記近位セクションの長さが、λ/4の奇数倍であり、ここで、λは、前記要素に長手方向の共振を生成する駆動周波数の波長である、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記セクションのうちの少なくとも2つの間に、少なくとも1つの溶接された接合部を備える、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションが、遠位末端において球状、またはその他の方法で拡大された特徴を備える、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションが、ワイヤの長手方向軸に対して斜めにオフセットされている遠位部分を備える、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- マーカーバンドが、少なくとも前記遠位先端セクションを取り囲む、請求項1~16のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 全長が、500mm~3000mmである、請求項1~17のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記近位セクションが、その長さに沿って実質的に均一な直径のものである、請求項1~18のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記近位セクションの長さが、500mm~2900mmである、請求項1~19のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションが、その長さに沿ってテーパ状になっているか、または一定の直径のものである、請求項1~20のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記セクションの各々の長さが、λ/4の関数または倍数であり、ここで、λは、ワイヤの長手方向の共振を引き起こす駆動周波数の波長である、請求項1~21のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 遠位先端部分の上、および前記近位セクションの遠位端の近くに位置決めされたマーカーバンドをさらに備える、請求項1~22のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 遠位先端部分が、部分的に外被もしくはコーティングされているか、またはカテーテルによって部分的に覆われており、その遠位先端まで延在する前記要素の長さが、外被またはコーティングされていないままである、請求項1~23のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記外被、コーティング、またはカテーテルが、前記要素の共振長または高調波長まで延在する、請求項24に記載の要素。
- 前記要素の前記長さの中央セクションが、外被またはコーティングされ、前記近位セクションの少なくとも一部が、外被またはコーティングされていない、請求項1~25のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 前記近位セクションが、不連続で、長手方向に断続した外被またはコーティングを有する、請求項26に記載の要素。
- 前記遠位先端セクションの少なくとも遠位部分が、外被またはコーティングされていない、裸のワイヤを備える、請求項1~27のいずれか一項に記載の要素。
- 血管内の障害物を横断するための血管内装置であって、前記装置が、請求項1~28のいずれか一項に記載の細長い血管内要素と、前記障害物を横断することを容易にするために、前記要素の前記遠位先端セクションを超音波によって励振するための、その要素に機械的に結合された超音波トランスデューサと、を備える、血管内装置。
- 前記要素と前記トランスデューサとの間に結合を備え、波長がλである駆動周波数で前記要素に超音波エネルギーを入力するように構成されている、請求項29に記載の装置。
- 前記結合が、前記要素の遠位先端から、実質的に、λ/4の奇数倍に位置決めされている、請求項30に記載の装置。
- 前記結合が、前記要素の遠位先端から、実質的に、(2n+1)λ/4の距離に位置決めされている、請求項30または請求項31に記載の装置。
- 前記結合から近位に延在するワイヤの近位部分の長さが、実質的に、λ/2の倍数である、請求項30~32のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記セクションの各々が、前記駆動周波数の1/2および1/4もしくはその近くにおいて、それぞれ、第1および第2の低調波を有する前記駆動周波数もしくはその近くにおける長手方向の共振モードを有するように選択された長さを有する、請求項30~33のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 活性化ユニットが、場所マーカーまたは照明との位置合わせのための基準点、および/または前記場所マーカーを視覚化するための窓である、少なくとも1つの視覚化特徴を備える、請求項29~34のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
