本実施形態の建具においては、框本体の中空部内にはスチール等の金属材料からなる補強部材が配置されており、強度及び耐火性能を向上させている。
特に、内、外障子の召合框に配置された補強部材は、召合框自体の強度を向上させるとともに、内、外障子が枠体から外れることを抑制し、防火性能を向上させている。
以下、さらに詳細に説明する。

補強部材は、見込み方向で下レールと重複する位置まで延設された室内側見付壁と、見込み方向で下レールと重複する位置まで延設され内障子の召合框の室内外への移動を規制する規制部を有しており、
中空部内で室内側見付壁と規制部との間に空間が形成されており、
補強部材の室内側見付壁は、室外側面に加熱膨張材が配置されており、
火災時に加熱膨張材が膨張したときに、前記空間内で充満する建具。
