Description
本発明は、その内容を引用して本明細書に援用する2018年9月27日付けの「MECHANICAL SEAL WITH INTEGRATED RFID SENSOR」と題する米国特許仮出願第62/737,623号の優先権を主張する。
本発明は、固定ハウジング構成要素に対してシャフト又はロッドを密封するためのメカニカルシール組立品に関する。本発明は、一般にメカニカルシールに関し、より詳細には、センサを使用するメカニカルシールに関する。
従来のメカニカルシール組立品は、流体密シールを提供するために、例えば機械装置における多種多様な環境及び設定において使用されてきた。通常、こうした密封組立品は、固定機械ハウジング内に取り付けられ且つそのハウジングから突出する回転シャフト又はロッドの周囲に設けられる。
本発明の目的は、メカニカルシールであって、メカニカルシールの選択パラメータを感知又は検出するための、例えば無線周波数識別(radio frequency identification:RFID)センサなどの1つ以上のセンサを使用したメカニカルシールを提供することである。
Claims (5)
- メカニカルシール組立品(10)であって、
外表面に複数のセンサ開口部(58)が形成されたハウジング(52)を有し、前記複数のセンサ開口部(58)は第1のセンサ開口部(58)及び第2のセンサ開口部(58)を含み、前記第1のセンサ専用開口部(58)及び前記第2のセンサ専用開口部(58)は前記ハウジング(52)の内表面までには至らない深さを有する、グランド組立品(50)と、
シャフトの周囲に配置され、且つ前記グランド組立品(50)内に配置された、スリーブ組立品(60)と、
前記スリーブ組立品(60)に回転可能に結合された、回転シールリング(20)と、
前記回転シールリング(20)と動作可能に接触するように配置されて、前記回転シールリング(20)との間にシールを形成する、静止シールリング(30)と、
前記第1のセンサ専用開口部(58)内に配置された第1のセンサ(80)及び、前記第2のセンサ専用開口部(58)内に配置された第2のセンサ(82)と、
を備え、
前記第1のセンサ(80)及び前記第2のセンサ(82)はRFIDセンサであり、前記第1のセンサ(80)は高周波数RFIDセンサであり、前記第2のセンサ(82)は超高周波数RFIDセンサである、
メカニカルシール組立品(10)。 - 前記第1のセンサ専用開口部(58)及び前記第2のセンサ専用開口部(58)は互いに隣接している、請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール組立品(10)。
- 前記第1のセンサ専用開口部(58)及び前記第2のセンサ専用開口部(58)は互いから周方向に分離している、請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール組立品(10)。
- 前記第1のセンサ(80)及び前記第2のセンサ(82)は熱可塑性材料で被覆されている、請求項1に記載のメカニカルシール組立品(10)。
- 前記熱可塑性材料はポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)材料である、請求項4に記載のメカニカルシール組立品(10)
