Description
本願は、米国特許法§119(e)に基づいて、米国仮特許出願第62/700,768号(2018年7月19日出願)及び米国仮特許出願第62/796,338号(2019年1月24日出願)の優先権の利益を主張する。両方の仮出願の全体は、参照により、それらがあたかも本明細書に完全に示されているかのごとくに明示的に本明細書に援用される。
本明細書中に提供されるシステム、装置、キット及び方法は、治療物質の標的送達のための薄い膜の生成に関するものであり、この膜は気泡として形成され得る。
Claims (17)
- 生体接着剤物質の気泡を組織表面に付与するための装置であって、
近位端部、遠位端部、及び前記近位端部と前記遠位端部との間に延在する中間部分を含むカニューレと、
前記カニューレの前記遠位端部にある遠位先端であって、前記遠位先端は、長手方向に延在する外面を有し、前記遠位先端は、膨張ガスの通過のための第1の直径の内腔を画定する内面を有する壁を有し、前記壁は、前記遠位先端の外面と前記壁の内面との間に厚さを有し、前記遠位先端は、前記内腔と流体連通している出口ポートを画定し、前記出口ポートは、前記内腔よりも小さい直径を有し、前記出口ポートは、リムによって周回され、前記リムは、前記遠位先端の外面から前記壁の内面に対して内側に延在し、前記リムは、前記遠位先端の最も遠位の表面を形成する平坦な周面を有し、前記平坦な周面は、前記平坦な周面の外径と内径との間に前記壁の厚さより大きい幅を有し、前記リムは、前記生体接着剤物質の層を前記平坦な周面上に支持するように構成されている遠位先端と、
前記生体接着剤物質を前記リムの面に導入するための生体接着経路と、
前記カニューレの少なくとも前記中間部分及び前記遠位端部を通って延在する膨張ガス通路であって、前記膨張ガス通路は、前記遠位先端の内腔と流体連通しており、前記出口ポートに至るまで前記カニューレの前記中間部分及び前記遠位端部の長さに沿って前記生体接着経路とは別個の前記膨張ガスのための通路を提供するように構成されている膨張ガス通路と、
前記膨張ガスの供給源と連結するように構成されたアクチュエータであって、前記アクチュエータの作動時に前記膨張ガスを前記膨張ガス通路及び前記遠位先端の内腔を通して選択的に前進させ、前記膨張ガスを前記生体接着剤物質の前記層に向けさせて、前記リムの面に前記生体接着剤物質の前記気泡を形成するように構成されており、前記生体接着剤物質の前記層が前記膨張ガスの体積を少なくとも部分的に取り囲むアクチュエータと
を含む装置。 - 前記装置の近位端にハンドル部分を含み、前記ハンドル部分が少なくとも前記アクチュエータ及び前記膨張ガスの供給源を支持するように構成されている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記装置が、前記膨張ガスを少なくとも部分的に封入する前記生体接着剤物質の球形のフィルムを含む気泡を形成するように構成されている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アクチュエータが、圧縮可能な袋であって、この袋内の前記膨張ガスの前記供給源から前記膨張ガス通路を通して前記膨張ガスを放出するように構成されている圧縮可能な袋を含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アクチュエータが、圧縮可能な空気袋であって、この袋内の前記膨張ガスの前記供給源から前記膨張ガス通路を通して前記膨張ガスを放出するように構成されている圧縮可能な袋に沿って移動可能であるホイールを含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記生体接着経路が前記膨張ガス通路を取り囲む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記生体接着経路が、近位端及び遠位端を含む細長い本体を含み、前記遠位端が、少なくとも1つの開口部を有する遠位先端を有し、前記細長い本体が、前記膨張ガス通路を通って前記カニューレの前記遠位端部の前記遠位先端まで前進可能である請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記生体接着経路が、前記カニューレの前記膨張ガス通路の少なくとも一部の内部にあるか、前記カニューレの前記膨張ガス通路の少なくとも一部によって取り囲まれている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記装置の少なくとも前記遠位先端の温度を上昇させるように構成された焼灼構成要素をさらに含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 生体接着剤気泡を網膜に付与するための手持ち式装置であって、
第1の端部及び第2の端部を含む細長い本体であって、前記第1の端部はハンドルを含み、前記第2の端部は長手方向に延在する外面の壁を有するカニューレを有し、前記カニューレは、内腔を画定し、出口ポート及び前記カニューレの最も遠位の表面に平坦面を有するリムを有し、前記出口ポートは前記内腔よりも小さい直径を有し、前記平坦面は、前記平坦面に隣接する前記カニューレの壁の厚さよりも大きな距離だけ外面から内側に内腔に延在する細長い本体と、
液体の生体接着剤を含有するように構成されている生体接着リザーバと、
前記出口ポートと連通しており、前記出口ポートを通って膨張ガスを選択的に供給するように構成されている第1の通路と、
前記生体接着リザーバと連通しており、前記生体接着剤を前記生体接着リザーバから前記細長い本体の前記第2の端部へ選択的に供給するように構成されている第2の通路であって、前記第2の通路は、少なくとも前記カニューレの遠位端において前記出口ポートに至るまで前記第1の通路を完全に取り囲む第2の通路と
を含み、
前記第1の通路は、前記平坦面によって保持及び/又は維持された前記生体接着剤の層を通して前記膨張ガスの供給を導き、前記生体接着剤気泡を生成するように構成されており、
前記第1の通路は、前記膨張ガスが前記平坦面において前記生体接着剤を通して導かれるまで、前記膨張ガスの供給を前記生体接着剤と接触しないで維持するように構成されており、
前記平坦面は、前記膨張ガスが前記出口ポートを通って流れるのを止めたときに、前記生体接着剤気泡を前記第2の端部に維持するように構成されており、
前記第2の通路は、前記生体接着剤気泡が網膜に対してブラッシングされるとき、又は前記膨張ガスが前記出口ポートを通って再び流れるときに前記生体接着剤気泡を放出するように構成されている
手持ち式装置。 - 前記細長い本体が接合部分をさらに含み、前記接合部分が、前記カニューレの近位部分と相互作用するように構成されている結合端部を含み、前記カニューレの前記近位部分が、前記細長い本体の前記結合端部と可逆的に相互作用するように構成されている請求項10に記載の手持ち式装置。
- 生体接着剤物質の気泡を組織表面に付与するための装置であって、
近位端部、遠位端部、及び前記近位端部と前記遠位端部との間に長手方向軸に沿って延在する中間部分を含むカニューレと、
前記カニューレの前記遠位端部にある遠位先端であって、前記遠位先端は、長手方向に延在する外面を有し、前記遠位先端は、膨張ガスの通過のための第1の直径の内腔を画定する第1の厚さの壁を有し、前記遠位先端は、前記内腔と流体連通している出口ポートを画定し、前記出口ポートは、前記内腔の直径よりも小さい直径を有し、前記出口ポートは、前記第1の厚さよりも大きな寸法のリムによって周回されており、前記リムは、前記遠位先端の外面から内側に延在する周面を有し、前記周面は前記周面全体に沿って長手方向軸に対して鋭角に配向し、前記リムは、前記生体接着剤物質の層を周面上に支持するように構成されている遠位先端と、
前記生体接着剤物質を前記リムの面に導入するための生体接着経路と、
前記カニューレの少なくとも前記中間部分及び前記遠位端部を通って延在する膨張ガス通路であって、前記膨張ガス通路は、前記遠位先端の内腔と流体連通しており、前記カニューレの前記中間部分及び前記遠位端部の長さに沿って前記生体接着経路とは別個の前記膨張ガスのための通路を提供するように構成されている膨張ガス通路と、
前記膨張ガスの供給源と連結するように構成されたアクチュエータであって、前記アクチュエータの作動時に前記膨張ガスを前記膨張ガス通路及び前記遠位先端の内腔を通して選択的に前進させ、前記膨張ガスを前記生体接着剤物質の前記層に向けさせて、前記リムの面に前記生体接着剤物質の前記気泡を形成するように構成されており、前記生体接着剤物質の前記層が前記膨張ガスの体積を少なくとも部分的に取り囲むアクチュエータと
を含む装置。 - 前記遠位先端が、前記カニューレの内面から内側に延びるデフレクタ要素を有する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リムが、前記遠位先端の最遠位部分を画定する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リムの前記周面が、前記カニューレの長手方向に対して垂直ではない方向に傾斜している請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リムの前記周面が、傾斜している請求項1に記載の装置。
- 生体接着剤物質の気泡を組織表面に付与するための装置であって、
近位端部、遠位端部、及び前記近位端部と前記遠位端部との間に長手方向軸に沿って延在する中間部分を含むカニューレと、
前記カニューレの前記遠位端部にある遠位先端であって、前記遠位先端は、第1の直径の内腔を画定する第1の厚さの壁を有し、前記遠位先端は、前記内腔と流体連通している出口ポートを画定し、前記出口ポートは、前記内腔の直径よりも小さい直径を有し、デフレクタが半径方向内側に前記内腔を延在し、前記遠位先端に配置される遠位面を有する遠位先端と、
前記生体接着剤物質を前記デフレクタの前記遠位面に導入するための生体接着経路と、
前記カニューレの少なくとも前記中間部分及び前記遠位先端を通って延在する膨張ガス通路であって、前記膨張ガス通路は、前記内腔と流体連通しており、前記カニューレの前記中間部分及び前記遠位先端の長さに沿って前記生体接着経路とは別個の前記膨張ガスのための通路を提供するように構成され、前記デフレクタが前記膨張ガス通路の遠位端のまわりで前記生体接着剤物質の流れを半径方向内側に向けている膨張ガス通路と、
前記膨張ガスの供給源と連結するように構成されたアクチュエータであって、前記アクチュエータの作動時に前記膨張ガスを前記膨張ガス通路及び前記内腔を通して選択的に前進させ、前記膨張ガスを生体接着剤物質の層に向けさせて、前記デフレクタの面に前記生体接着剤物質の前記気泡を形成するように構成されており、前記生体接着剤物質の層が前記膨張ガスの体積を少なくとも部分的に取り囲むアクチュエータと
を含む装置。
