Description
Claims (15)
- 導光器及び層エレメントを有する水中で使用される導光器エレメントであって、前記導光器は導光器面を有し、前記層エレメントは光学層を有し、該光学層は前記導光器面の少なくとも一部と接し、該光学層は280nmにおいて1.36より小さな第1屈折率を有し、前記導光器がUV放射透過性導光器材料を有する、導光器エレメント。
- 前記光学層は光学層材料を第1の層厚h1で有する1以上の第1領域及び前記光学層材料を0≦h2≦h1の範囲内の第2の層厚h2で有する1以上の第2領域を備えるパターン形成された光学層であり、該光学層がUV放射透過性光学層材料を有する、請求項1に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 前記第1屈折率が280nmにおいて1.30以下であり、前記光学層が5~70%の範囲内の多孔率を有する多孔性光学層である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 光学層材料がゾル-ゲル材料を有する、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 前記層エレメントは、前記光学層を有すると共に該光学層の少なくとも一部に接する第2層を更に有する積層部を備え、前記第2層がUV放射透過性光学層材料を有する、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 第2の導光器面を有し、第1の導光器面と該第2の導光器面との間の距離は前記導光器の厚さを定め、当該導光器エレメントが前記第2の導光器面の少なくとも一部に接する第3層を更に有する、請求項5に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 前記第2層は(a)シリコン樹脂及び(b)フッ素重合体の1以上を有し、該第2層は前記導光器内へのUV光吸収有機分子の侵入を防止し、前記第3層は(a)UV放射に対する反射性、(b)前記導光器を物体へ付着させるための接着性、(c)当該導光器エレメントの補強及び(d)前記導光器の保護からなる群から選択される1以上の機能を有する、請求項6に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 前記導光器はUV放射透過性液体により充填された閉じたキャビティを有し、該導光器は前記キャビティを画定するシリコン樹脂を有する第1材料を有し、前記UV放射透過性液体が水を有する、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の導光器エレメント。
- 請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の導光器エレメント及び光源を有する生物付着防止システムであって、前記生物付着防止システムは前記導光器面を有する放射出射窓を有し、前記光源は前記導光器内にUV放射を供給し、前記放射出射窓は該UV放射の少なくとも一部を透過させる、生物付着防止システム。
- 前記光源は発光面を有し、該発光面が前記導光器内に配置される、請求項9に記載の生物付着防止システム。
- 前記導光器が前記放射出射窓の下流においてUV放射の均一な分布をもたらす光学構造を更に有する、請求項9又は請求項10に記載の生物付着防止システム。
- 前記導光器はUV放射透過性液体で充填された閉じたキャビティを有し、該導光器は前記キャビティを画定するシリコン樹脂を有する第1材料を有し、前記UV放射透過性液体は水を有し、前記第1屈折率が280nmにおいて1.30以下である、請求項9から11の何れか一項に記載の生物付着防止システム。
- 使用の間において少なくとも部分的に水中に沈められる物体であって、請求項9から12の何れか一項に記載の生物付着防止システムを有し、該生物付着防止システムが照射段階の間においてUV放射により(i)当該物体の外部表面の一部及び(ii)前記外部表面の前記一部に隣接する水のうちの1以上を照射する、物体。
- 使用の間において少なくとも一時的に水に曝される物体に請求項9から12の何れか一項に記載の生物付着防止システムを設ける方法であって、前記生物付着防止システムを前記物体に、該生物付着防止システムがUV放射を前記物体の外部表面の一部及び該一部に隣接する水の1以上に供給するように配置されるようにして設けるステップを有する、方法。
- 物体の外部表面における生物付着を防止及び/又は低減する方法であって、前記外部表面は前記物体の使用の間において少なくとも一時的に水に曝され、当該方法は、生物付着防止システムによりUV放射を発生するステップと、該UV放射を前記物体の前記外部表面及び該外部表面に隣接する水に供給するステップとを有し、前記生物付着防止システムが請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の導光器エレメントを有する、方法。
