Description
ASC5は、SCR触媒4の機能を備えてもよい。例えば、ASC5の表面上にSCR触媒をコーティングしてもよい。
実施の形態では、酸化物層による触媒活性の低下を抑制する方法として、基材9の両面にバッファ材10を蒸着させる方法を用いる場合を例に挙げて説明したが、これに限定されない。例えば、想定される排ガスの最高温度以上の温度で基材9を加熱し、酸化物層(抑制層の一例に相当)を出現させ、その酸化物層の表面に対してアークプラズマ法により貴金属11を蒸着させる方法を用いてもよい。これにより、酸化物層による触媒活性の低下を抑制することができる。
実施の形態では、触媒用部材13により構成される触媒がASC5である場合を例に挙げて説明したが、これに限定されない。触媒用部材13により構成される触媒は、例えば、排ガス中の一酸化窒素や炭化水素を酸化させるDOC(Diesel Oxidation Catalyst)であってもよい。

Claims (3)
- 排ガスを浄化する排ガス浄化システムに設けられる触媒に用いられる触媒用部材の製造方法であって、
耐熱性、耐食性、耐酸化性、および導電性を有する金属製の材料で構成される基材の表面に対して、酸化物層による触媒活性の低下を抑制する抑制層を蒸着により形成する工程と、
前記抑制層の表面に対して、アークプラズマ法により貴金属を蒸着させる工程と、を有する、
触媒用部材の製造方法。 - 前記基材の材料は、耐熱温度が900度を超える合金である、
請求項1に記載の触媒用部材の製造方法。 - 前記貴金属は、蒸着後に特定の結晶面が増加する元素で構成される、
請求項1または2に記載の触媒用部材の製造方法。
