R1-(R2Y)n-R3
式中、R1は疎水性基であり、
R2は、エチレンおよびプロピレンからなる群から選択され、
Yは、OおよびSからなる群から選択され、
R3は親水性基であり、
n≧8である。
1)Zn粉末を含むアノード乾燥混合物に前記長鎖界面活性剤を添加し、
2)前記アノード乾燥混合物をゲル化電解質と混合することと、を含む工程i)または、
1)前記長鎖界面活性剤を前記ゲル化電解質に添加し、
2)Znを含むアノード乾燥混合物をゲル化電解質と混合することを含む工程ii)、または、
1)Znを含むアノードペーストおよびゲル化電解質に前記長鎖界面活性剤を添加する工程iii)、または、
1)前記長鎖界面活性剤を電解質に添加し、
2)前記ゲル化剤と電解質とを混合してゲル化電解質を形成し、
3)Znを含むアノード乾燥混合物を前記ゲル化電解質と混合することを含む工程iv)を含む方法である。
上記長鎖界面活性剤を含む溶液中にセパレータを浸漬する工程i)、または
上記長鎖界面活性剤を含む溶液をセパレータの少なくとも1つの層上に噴霧する工程ii)と、を含む方法である。
上述したように、Triton XQS-20界面活性剤は、アノード放電を抑制するので、アノードシャットダウンを遅延させる際に重要な役割を果たす。Triton XQS-20界面活性剤がアノード放電を抑制する理由を理解することが重要である。長いエトキシレート鎖は、TritonXQS-20界面活性剤に関連する独特の特徴である。エトキシレート鎖長がアノードシャットダウンを遅延させる効果に影響を与える重要なパラメータであることを確認するために、この研究用に、関連する界面活性剤であるTritonQS-44(ダウ化学社(ミシガン州ミッドランド))を選択した。TritonQS-44の構造を以下に示す。
Claims (30)
- a)容器と、
b)容器内に配置され、カソードと、アノードと、カソードおよびアノードの間に配置されたセパレータと、アルカリ電解液、および長鎖界面活性剤を含む電極アセンブリと、を備え、
前記長鎖界面活性剤が以下の構造を有するアルカリ電気化学セル。
R1-(R2Y)n-R3
(式中、R1は疎水性基であり、 R2は、エチレンおよびプロピレンからなる群から選択され、Yは、OおよびSからなる群から選択され、
R3は親水性のリン酸エステル基であり、16≦n≦40である。) - a)容器と、
b)容器内に配置され、カソードと、アノードと、カソードおよびアノードの間に配置されたセパレータと、アルカリ電解液、および長鎖界面活性剤を含む電極アセンブリと、を備え、
前記長鎖界面活性剤が以下の構造を有し、
前記セパレータは前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む、アルカリ電気化学セル。
R 1- (R 2 Y) n -R 3
(式中、R 1 は疎水性基であり、 R 2 は、エチレンおよびプロピレンからなる群から選択され、Yは、OおよびSからなる群から選択され、
R 3 は親水性基であり、16≦n≦40である。) - R1は、分岐または非分岐アルキル基、分岐または非分岐アルケニル基、分岐または非分岐アルキニル基、分岐または非分岐アリール基、分岐または非分岐フェニル基、分岐または非分岐ベンジル基、分岐または非分岐フェニルアルキル基、分岐または非分岐シクロアルキル基および分岐または非分岐シクロアルケニル基からなる群から選択される、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- R3は、リン酸基、リン酸エステル基、硫酸基、硫酸エステル基、スルホン酸基、カルボン酸基、アミノ基、チオール基、およびヒドロキシル基からなる群から選択される、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 30≦n≦40である、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- R2はエチレンであり、YはOである、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- R2はエチレンである、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- YはOである、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- R1はフェニルアルキル基である、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- R3はリン酸エステル基である、請求項2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- R2はエチレンであり、YはOであり、R1はフェニルアルキル基である、請求項1又は10に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記長鎖界面活性剤は以下の構造を有する、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記アノードは前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む、請求項1~12のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記セパレータは前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む、請求項1に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記電気化学セルは一次電池である、請求項1~14のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記電気化学セルは二次電池である、請求項1~14のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記長鎖界面活性剤は、3~5000μg/in2の量でセパレータ中に含まれる、請求項2に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記アノードは、亜鉛、マグネシウム、アルミニウムおよびケイ素からなる群から選択される活物質を含む、請求項1~17のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記アノードは、前記アノードの有効成分の重量に対して、または前記アノードの総重量に対して、1~15,000ppmの濃度で前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む、請求項1~18のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記アノードは、前記アノードの有効成分の重量に対して、または前記アノードの総重量に対して、30ppm以上の濃度で前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む、請求項1~18のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記アノードは、前記アノードの有効成分の重量に対して、または前記アノードの総重量に対して、100ppm以下の濃度で前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む、請求項1~18のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記電解液は、水酸化カリウム(KOH)、水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)、水酸化リチウム(LiOH)、水酸化マグネシウム(Mg(OH)2)、水酸化カルシウム(Ca(OH)2)、過塩素酸マグネシウム(Mg(ClO4)2)、塩化マグネシウム(MgCl2)、または臭化マグネシウム(MgBr2)を含む、請求項1~21のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記アルカリ電気化学セルは1を超える長鎖界面活性剤を含まない、請求項1~22のいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 前記電気化学セルは、長鎖界面活性剤を含まない類似のアルカリ電気化学セルの比容量またはランタイムよりも、1%から100%大きい比容量またはランタイムを有する、請求項1~23のうちいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 電圧が、0.1V~2.0Vである、請求項1~22のいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ電気化学セル。
- 電気化学セルの製造方法であって、
前記電気化学セルは、
a)容器と、
b)容器内に配置され、カソードと、アノードと、カソードおよびアノードの間に配置されたセパレータと、アルカリ電解液、および長鎖界面活性剤を含む電極アセンブリと、を備え、
前記長鎖界面活性剤が以下の構造を有し、
R1-(R2Y)n-R3
式中、R1は疎水性基であり、 R2は、エチレンおよびプロピレンからなる群から選択され、Yは、OおよびSからなる群から選択され、R3は親水性のリン酸エステル基であり、n≧12であり、
前記アノードは前記長鎖界面活性剤を含み、前記方法は、前記長鎖界面活性剤を、i)Zn粉末を含むアノード乾燥混合物およびii)ゲル化電解質、または、Znを含むアノードペーストおよびゲル化電解質とを調合することを含む、方法。 - 請求項1~10のうちいずれか1項に記載の電気化学セルの製造方法であって、前記アノードは前記長鎖界面活性剤を含み、
1)Zn粉末を含むアノード乾燥混合物に前記長鎖界面活性剤を添加し、
2)前記アノード乾燥混合物をゲル化電解質と混合することを含む工程i)、または、
1)前記長鎖界面活性剤を前記ゲル化電解質に添加し、
2)Znを含むアノード乾燥混合物をゲル化電解質と混合することを含む工程ii)、または、
1)Znを含むアノードペーストおよびゲル化電解質に前記長鎖界面活性剤を添加する工程iii)、または、
1)前記長鎖界面活性剤を電解質に添加し、
2)ゲル化剤と電解質とを混合してゲル化電解質を形成し、
3)Znを含むアノード乾燥混合物を前記ゲル化電解質と混合することを含む工程iv)を含む方法。 - 前記長鎖界面活性剤は、前記添加の前の溶液中に含まれる、請求項27に記載の方法。
- 電気化学セルの製造方法であって、
前記電気化学セルは、
a)容器と、
b)容器内に配置され、カソードと、アノードと、カソードおよびアノードの間に配置されたセパレータと、アルカリ電解液、および長鎖界面活性剤を含む電極アセンブリと、を備え、
前記長鎖界面活性剤が以下の構造を有し、
R1-(R2Y)n-R3
式中、R1は疎水性基であり、 R2は、エチレンおよびプロピレンからなる群から選択され、Yは、OおよびSからなる群から選択され、R3は親水性基であり、n≧12であり、
前記セパレータは前記長鎖界面活性剤を含み、
前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む溶液中にセパレータを浸漬する工程i)、または
前記長鎖界面活性剤を含む溶液をセパレータの少なくとも1つの層上に噴霧する工程ii)を含む方法。 - 前記セパレータが前記セル容器の内部にある間に、前記セパレータの前記少なくとも1つの層上に前記溶液が噴霧される、請求項29に記載の方法。
