18重量パーセントの自然のメタ-アラミド繊維と、18重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と、64重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維とのピッカーブレンドスライバーの形態でのステープルファイバーの均質ブレンドを調製し、次に綿システム加工およびエアジェット紡績機を用いて紡績スフ糸にした。得られた糸は、21テックス(28綿番手)単糸であった。2つの単糸を次に、撚糸機で撚り合わせて10回転/インチのプライツイストを有する双糸を製造した。
18重量パーセントの炭素含有黒色メタ-アラミド繊維と、18重量パーセントの非炭素含有黒色パラ-アラミド繊維と、64重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維とのピッカーブレンドスライバーの形態でのステープルファイバーの均質ブレンドを調製し、次に綿システム加工およびエアジェット紡績機を用いて紡績スフ糸にした。得られた糸は、21テックス(28綿番手)単糸であった。2つの単糸を次に、撚糸機で撚り合わせて10回転/インチのプライツイストを有する双糸を製造した。
実施例1を繰り返して布を製造した;しかしながら、18重量パーセントの非炭素含有黒色パラ-アラミド繊維を18重量パーセントの自然のパラ-アラミド繊維で置き換えた。布をアーク試験にかけ、結果を表1に示す。この試料の重量パーセント炭素粒子およびアーク性能は、実施例1と同じものであり、非炭素含有黒色パラ-アラミド繊維がアーク性能に何の影響も及ぼさないことを確認した。
実施例1を繰り返して布を製造した;しかしながら、使用されるステープルファイバーの均質ブレンドは、36重量パーセントの炭素含有黒色メタ-アラミド繊維と、20重量パーセントの非炭素含有黒色パラ-アラミド繊維と、44重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維とであった。布をアーク試験にかけ、結果を表1に示す。アーク性能から理解できるように、炭素含有黒色メタ-アラミド繊維の添加は、対照に対してアーク性能に著しい影響を及ぼしたが、モダクリルの量もまた、最終ATPVに相乗的に影響を与える。ブレンド中のモダクリル繊維のより高い重量百分率は、実施例1および2においてより高いアーク性能数を達成するのに役立った役立った。
実施例1を繰り返して布を織るための同じ組成を有する糸を製造した;しかし綿番手34を有する、より細かい単糸を製造した。これは、186g/m2(5.5oz/yd2)の坪量を有する、より低い坪量生地布を生み出した。布をアーク試験にかけ、結果を表2に示す。
実施例4を繰り返したが、綿番手36を有する、さらにより細かい単糸を製造し、173g/m2(5.1oz/yd2)の坪量を有する、さらにより低い坪量生地布を生み出した。布をアーク試験にかけ、結果を表2に示す。
本発明のまた別の態様は、以下のとおりであってもよい。
〔1〕ステープルファイバーの均質ブレンドであって、
(a)15~70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と;
(b)5~27重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と;
(c)3~80重量パーセントのメタ-アラミド繊維と
を含み、
i)前記ブレンド中に存在する25~100部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、個々の繊維中の炭素粒子の量を基準として0.5~20重量パーセントの離散炭素粒子を含有し、前記炭素粒子が、その繊維中に均一に分散しており;かつ
ii)前記ブレンド中に存在する0~75部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、離散炭素粒子を含まず;
前記均質ブレンドが、0.1~3重量パーセントの離散炭素粒子の総含量を有する
均質ブレンド。
〔2〕(a)40~70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と;
(b)5~20重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と;
(c)10~40重量パーセントのメタ-アラミド繊維と
を含み、
i)前記ブレンド中に存在する25~100部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、個々の繊維中の炭素粒子の量を基準として0.5~20重量パーセントの離散炭素粒子を含有し、前記炭素粒子が、その繊維中に均一に分散しており;かつ
ii)前記ブレンド中に存在する0~75部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、離散炭素粒子を含まず;
前記均質ブレンドが0.1~3重量パーセントの離散炭素粒子の総含量を有する
前記〔1〕に記載のステープルファイバーの均質ブレンド。
〔3〕i)における前記メタ-アラミド繊維が25~50部の量で存在し、ii)における前記メタ-アラミド繊維が50~75部の量で存在する前記〔1〕または〔2〕に記載のステープルファイバーの均質ブレンド。
〔4〕0.5~3重量パーセントの離散炭素粒子の総含量を有する前記〔1〕~〔3〕のいずれか一項に記載の均質ブレンド。
〔5〕i)における前記メタ-アラミド繊維が0.5~6重量パーセントの離散炭素粒子を含む前記〔1〕~〔4〕のいずれか一項に記載の均質ブレンド。
〔6〕前記メタ-アラミドがポリ(メタ-フェニレンイソフタルアミド)である前記〔1〕~〔5〕のいずれか一項に記載の均質ブレンド。
〔7〕前記〔1〕~〔6〕のいずれか一項に記載の均質ブレンドを含む糸。
〔8〕前記〔7〕に記載の糸を含む布。
〔9〕前記〔8〕に記載の布を含む熱防護衣料品。
〔10〕前記〔7〕に記載の糸を含む衣服。
Claims (4)
- ステープルファイバーの均質ブレンドを含む糸を含む布を含む熱防護衣料品であって、
前記均質ブレンドが、
(a)15~70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と;
(b)5~27重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と;
(c)3~80重量パーセントのメタ-アラミド繊維と
を含み、
i)前記ブレンド中に存在する25~100部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、0.5~20重量パーセントの炭素粒子を含有し、前記炭素粒子が、その繊維中に均一に分散しており;かつ
ii)前記ブレンド中に存在する0~75部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、炭素粒子を含まず;
前記均質ブレンドが、0.1~3重量パーセントの炭素粒子の総含量を有する
熱防護衣料品。 - 前記均質ブレンドが、
(a)40~70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と;
(b)5~20重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と;
(c)10~40重量パーセントのメタ-アラミド繊維と
を含み、
i)前記ブレンド中に存在する25~100部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、0.5~20重量パーセントの炭素粒子を含有し、前記炭素粒子が、その繊維中に均一に分散しており;かつ
ii)前記ブレンド中に存在する0~75部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、炭素粒子を含まず;
前記均質ブレンドが0.1~3重量パーセントの炭素粒子の総含量を有する
請求項1に記載の熱防護衣料品。 - ステープルファイバーの均質ブレンドを含む糸を含む衣服であって、
前記均質ブレンドが、
(a)15~70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と;
(b)5~27重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と;
(c)3~80重量パーセントのメタ-アラミド繊維と
を含み、
i)前記ブレンド中に存在する25~100部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、0.5~20重量パーセントの炭素粒子を含有し、前記炭素粒子が、その繊維中に均一に分散しており;かつ
ii)前記ブレンド中に存在する0~75部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、炭素粒子を含まず;
前記均質ブレンドが、0.1~3重量パーセントの炭素粒子の総含量を有する
衣服。 - 前記均質ブレンドが、
(a)40~70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と;
(b)5~20重量パーセントのパラ-アラミド繊維と;
(c)10~40重量パーセントのメタ-アラミド繊維と
を含み、
i)前記ブレンド中に存在する25~100部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、0.5~20重量パーセントの炭素粒子を含有し、前記炭素粒子が、その繊維中に均一に分散しており;かつ
ii)前記ブレンド中に存在する0~75部の前記メタ-アラミド繊維が、炭素粒子を含まず;
前記均質ブレンドが0.1~3重量パーセントの炭素粒子の総含量を有する
