Claims (9)
- それぞれ、導電性を有し、かつ所定の主面に沿って延在する第1部材、中間部材及び第2部材を、この順に重ね合わせたように含む積層体に於いて、各部材を互いに接合するための接合装置であって、
前記積層体の前記第1部材側の面をなす第1面を支持するべき、少なくとも部分的に導電性を有するアンビルと、
前記アンビルに対応する位置で、前記積層体の前記第2部材側の面をなす第2面に対向するべく、前記主面に交差する方向に延在する軸線回りに回転可能に、かつ前記軸線に沿って前記第2部材に向かって進退可能なプローブと、
前記プローブが挿通された貫通孔と、前記第2面に押圧されるべきショルダ当接面とを含むショルダ部材と、
前記プローブを、前記軸線回りに回転させ、前記軸線に沿って進退させる駆動機構と、
前記積層体を介して前記アンビルと前記ショルダ部材との間に電流を流すべく、前記アンビル及び前記ショルダ部材に電気的に接続された電源と、
前記駆動機構及び前記電源の作動を制御する制御装置と、
を備える、前記第1部材と前記中間部材を互いに抵抗溶接し、かつ前記第2部材と前記中間部材を互いに摩擦攪拌接合するための接合装置。 - 前記プローブは、前記軸線回りの外周面に設けられたプローブ絶縁部を含む、請求項1に記載の接合装置。
- 前記ショルダ部材は、前記電源との電気的接続箇所から前記ショルダ当接面に至るショルダ部材導電部と、前記貫通孔の内周面に設けられたショルダ部材絶縁部とを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の接合装置。
- 前記ショルダ部材は、前記貫通孔の内周面を含んで導電性を有する内層と、前記ショルダ当接面の少なくとも一部を含んで導電性を有する外層と、前記内層及び前記外層間を絶縁するショルダ部材絶縁部とを含み、
前記電源は前記ショルダ部材の前記外層に電気的に接続された、請求項1又は2に記載の接合装置。 - 前記アンビルは、前記積層体の前記第1面に当接するべきアンビル当接面を含み、
前記軸線の延在方向から見て、前記アンビル当接面の輪郭は、前記ショルダ当接面の内輪郭よりも外側に位置する、請求項1~4の何れか1項に記載の接合装置。 - 請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載の接合装置を用いて前記積層体の各部材を互いに接合する接合方法であって、
前記アンビルを前記積層体の前記第1面に当接させ、前記ショルダ部材を前記積層体の前記第2面に当接させるステップと、
前記駆動機構を作動させて、前記プローブを前記軸線回りに回転させながら前記第2面から前記積層体に突入させて引き抜くことにより、前記第2部材と前記中間部材とを互いに摩擦攪拌接合するとともに、前記電源によって前記ショルダ部材及び前記アンビル間に電流を流して前記第1部材と前記中間部材とを互いに抵抗溶接する接合ステップと
を備え、
前記第1部材及び前記中間部材が、互いに同種材であり、前記第2部材とは異種材であり、
前記第1部材及び前記中間部材の素材が、前記第2部材の素材よりも、高強度であり、かつ高い電気抵抗性を有する、接合方法。 - 前記接合するステップは、前記プローブの先端が前記中間部材に到達する前に、前記電源によって前記ショルダ部材及び前記アンビル間に電流を流し始めることを含む、請求項6に記載の接合方法。
- 前記接合するステップは、前記プローブの先端が前記中間部材に到達すると同時に又は到達した後に、前記電源によって前記ショルダ部材及び前記アンビル間に電流を流し始めることを含む、請求項6に記載の接合方法。
- 前記接合するステップは、前記プローブの先端が前記第1部材に到達すると同時に又は到達した後に、前記電源によって前記ショルダ部材及び前記アンビル間に電流を流し始めることを含む、請求項6に記載の接合方法。
