Description
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus having a function of moving an icon to which a function related to image formation is assigned between pages by dragging the icon.
2. Description of the Related Art In a computer equipped with a touch panel, a function is known in which content displayed on the screen can be moved to an arbitrary page or position by a drag and drop operation using a user's finger. For example, on a smartphone, an application icon can be moved to any page by drag-and-drop operation. Specifically, when an application icon is selected with a finger using a drag operation and moved to the left or right edge of the screen, it is detected that the finger remains in contact with the left or right edge area for a predetermined period of time or more. Then, a page transition occurs. Then, by moving the icon after the page transition and then removing the finger from the screen, the icon can be moved to an arbitrary position.
Further, Patent Document 1 discloses that pages in an electronic book can be switched by touch operation.
When a user wants to move a specific icon from the current page to a desired page on a page with a large number of application icons, such as the smartphone mentioned above, the drag-and-drop operation is intuitive and easy for the user to understand. It is easy to operate. However, when the method used in conventional smartphones is applied to a device with a large screen size, the amount by which an icon is moved to the left and right edges of the screen by dragging becomes large. This places an operational burden on the user. Furthermore, depending on the timing of the operation, for example, a finger may not be detected at the left and right edges of the screen. In this case, it is recognized that the user's finger has left the icon before the page is switched, and the icon returns to its original position on the original page. Therefore, there was a problem in that operations when switching pages became complicated. This problem is not limited to application icons, but can commonly occur when content displayed on the screen is moved to a different page by drag-and-drop operations.
In view of the problems, the main object of the present invention is to provide a user interface device that improves the user's convenience when moving content to a different page.
An image processing apparatus according to the present invention having a plurality of functions including at least a copy function associates content for executing any of the plurality of functions with a currently authenticated user on a screen surrounded by a display frame. displaying a first button for displaying the content that has been authenticated on the screen; and a second button for displaying the content that can be used by users, including users other than the currently authenticated user, on the screen. display means for displaying a target content selected by a user from among the contents arranged on the screen, input receiving means for accepting a drag operation using an input indicator, and the object being moved according to the drag operation using the input indicator. display control means for switching the displayed first screen to a second screen that is the next screen after the first screen when at least a part of the content protrudes outside the display frame; , the display control means switches the displayed first screen to the second screen, and arranges the target content on the second screen.
According to the present invention, when moving content, the page changes when one of the edges of the content comes into contact with the display frame, regardless of the position of the input indicator, so that the content can be viewed intuitively. Can be moved to another page. This can improve user convenience when moving content between pages.

FIG. 2A shows a custom menu screen displayed on the
In FIG. 2A, a plurality of application buttons are displayed in a display area 201, which is a screen surrounded by a display frame. Each of the application buttons displayed here is associated with an AP that can be executed by the image forming apparatus and a setting value related to image formation that is set there. When one of the plurality of application buttons displayed in the display area 201 is pressed, the screen is switched to the AP screen associated with the application button. Additionally, the setting values associated with the app button are reflected. Further, the application button displayed in the display area 201 can also be associated with user information authenticated by user authentication. A title and a comment can be set for each app button, and the settings can be arbitrarily determined by the user who has registered the app button.
For example, the copy button 202 is set with the title "Copy" and a comment such as "Double-sided, 2 copies" is displayed. Each app button displays the AP name, icon, title related to setting values, comments, etc. associated with that app button. The copy button 202 is associated with a copy AP, and its setting values include a setting for printing on both sides and a setting value for setting the number of copies to be two. When the user selects the copy button 202, the screen switches to the screen shown in FIG. 3, which will be described later.
My button 203 in FIG. 2A is an app button for displaying only app buttons associated with the currently authenticated user in display area 201. The shared application button 204 is an icon (button image) for displaying in the display area 201 only application buttons that are associated with all users, that is, that can be used by all users. A page position display mark 205 is also displayed in the display area 201. The page position display mark 205 schematically represents each page with a circle mark, indicating that a plurality of pages are virtually arranged side by side in the left and right direction. The example in FIG. 2(a) shows that there are three pages of custom menus. This indicates that what is currently being displayed is the screen of the first page, which is virtually placed on the leftmost side.
Page switching buttons 206 and 207 are also displayed in the display area 201. The page switching button 206 is an icon for manually instructing a transition (page switching) to a page virtually placed on the right side of the currently displayed page. The page switching button 207 is an icon for instructing a transition to a page virtually arranged on the left side. If there is no other page in the direction in which the app button can be moved, the
When the page switching button 206 is pressed on the screen in FIG. 2(a), the list of application buttons in the display area 201 scrolls to the left side of the screen (FIG. 2(b)), and the screen in FIG. 2(c) is displayed. Transition. In the screen of FIG. 2(c), the page position display mark 205 has been moved to the middle of the three. This indicates that the second page of three pages is currently being displayed. The rearrange button 208 is an icon for enabling movement of application buttons. When this rearrangement button 208 is set to ON, the app button can be moved between pages by drag-and-drop operation. In other words, you can place an app button on any page anywhere on any page. In this example, the app button can be placed anywhere on pages 1 to 3. When the sort button 208 is set to OFF, drag and drop operations cannot be performed.
Note that although this example describes an example of a drag-and-drop operation using the sorting application button 208, other examples are also possible. For example, by long-pressing the app button you want to move, you can enter a drag operation mode, allowing you to move and place the app button anywhere you want. Therefore, it goes without saying that the present invention is applicable to other embodiments as well.
FIG. 3 shows an example of a copy AP setting screen that is displayed when the copy button 202 in FIG. 2(a) is selected. Here, the duplex button 301 indicates that duplex printing is set. Further, the number of copies to be printed area 302 indicates that the number of copies to be printed is set to two.
Next, an example of a drag and drop operation will be described with reference to FIGS. 4(a) to 4(f). The display screen in FIG. 4A shows the copy button 202 being moved by dragging 401 in the display frame 402. Here, an example will be described in which the page displayed on the screen is changed while maintaining the displayed state in which the copy button 202 is dragged.
FIG. 4(a) shows the first page of the display screen. In this example, the copy button 202 operated by dragging 401 is in contact with the display frame 402 . The processing procedure at this time will be described later, but if the copy button 202 operated by the drag 401 is in contact with the display frame 402, the page will transition to the next page and drop will become possible. Assume that the next page is the page on the right side of the screen. Assume that the upper left coordinates 403 of the copy button 202 to be moved by dragging 401 are (x1, y1), and the width 404 is w1. Then, the upper left coordinates 405 of the display frame 402 are (x2, y2), and the width 406 is w2.
In this case, if the value of x1+w1 exceeds w2+x2, it is determined that the copy button 202 is in contact with the display frame 402. Conversely, assume that the copy button 202 is moved to the left page. In this case, if the value of x1 is less than x2, it is determined that the display frame 402 is in contact.
FIG. 4(b) shows the second page of the display screen. The contact shown in FIG. 4A moves the copy button 202 to the second page, and the drop 407 operation places the copy button 202 moved by the drag 401 in a blank position. . The order in which the copy buttons 202 are moved by operating the drop 407 is tied to the order in which the application buttons are arranged when the custom menu screen is generated.
An example of linking the order in which the copy buttons 202 are moved to the order in which the application buttons are arranged will be described with reference to FIGS. 4(d) and 4(e). FIG. 4(d) shows the first page of the display screen in this example, and FIG. 4(e) shows the initial state of the second page of the display screen. These figures show an example in which application buttons are arranged in the order selected by the user when the custom menu screen is generated. In the illustrated example, each application button is arranged at positions 409-420. The display size of the app buttons can be set to S size, M size, or L size, but here it is assumed that the size is M and six app buttons can be arranged on one screen. Note that in FIG. 4(e), 415, 418 to 420 are blank positions as indicated by broken lines in the figure, and no application buttons are arranged therein. When the arrangement of the copy button 202 changes, the arrangement of other application buttons also changes. Then, by rearranging the custom menu, the layout information is newly updated.
FIG. 4(b) shows a state in which the copy button 202, which was initially placed at the position 411 in FIG. 4(d), is placed at the blank position shown at 419 on the second page in the initial state shown in FIG. 4(e). ). With this operation, each application button (including blank spaces) placed at positions 412 to 414 in Figure 4(d) and 415 in Figure 4(e) is moved to positions 411 to 414 in Figure 4(d). do. Additionally, each application button (including blank space) that was placed at positions 416 to 419 in Figure 4(e) has been moved to positions 415 to 418 in Figure 4(e), as shown in Figure 4(b). It's moving.
FIG. 4(c) shows a case where, after moving the copy button 202 to the second page due to the contact shown in FIG. 4(a), the drop 408 is operated at the position 416 where the mail button is arranged. An example is shown. In this case, the copy button 202, which was originally placed at the position 411 in FIG. 4(d), has moved to the position 416 in FIG. 4(e). The application buttons (including blank spaces) that were placed at position 415 in e) have been moved to positions 411 to 414 in FIG. 4(d). Further, the mail button that was placed at the position 416 in FIG. 4(e) has been moved to the position 415 in FIG. 4(e), as shown in FIG. 4(c).
Here, an example has been described in which when an app button is moved, a plurality of other app buttons are rearranged to complement the position before the move, but other methods may be used.
For example, as the app button moves, its position may be exchanged with another app button placed at the destination. Specifically, when the copy button 202 placed at the position 411 is dragged and dropped at the position 416, the mail button originally placed at the position 416 is relocated to the position 411. In this case, the arrangement of other buttons does not change.
Also, if other app buttons are placed at the destination, the other app buttons will be rearranged to complement the position before the move, and if the destination is blank, the other app buttons will be rearranged to complement the position before the move. It may also be possible not to rearrange the . Specifically, if the copy button 202 placed at position 411 is dragged and dropped at position 416, each application button placed at positions 412 to 416 will be moved to positions 411 to 415. The relocation will be performed as follows. On the other hand, if the copy button 202 is dropped at the blank position 415, the copy button 202 is placed at the position 415, and the other application buttons are not rearranged. Therefore, the position 411 is blank.
Further, when dragging an application button, the droppable positions may be shown in color to make it easier to understand the droppable positions. FIG. 4(f) is an example in which droppable positions are shown in color. In this way, by coloring and showing the server button 417 that overlaps the copy button 202 that is being dragged, the user can easily recognize the position where the app button that is being dragged can be placed. Note that if the copy button 202 being dragged is located at blank positions 415, 418 to 420, these blank positions may also be displayed in color.
Next, an example of a content manipulation method using the
Referring to FIG. 5A, the
In S503, if the icon rearrangement flag is set for the first icon (S503: YES), the
If a touchdown is not detected on the first icon in S502 (S502: NO), and if the icon rearrangement flag is not set in S503 (S503), the
After that, the
In S505, if the first icon and the display frame are not in contact (S505: NO), the icon drop process is immediately executed (S508), and the process ends.
FIG. 5(b) is a detailed procedure explanatory diagram of the icon drop process of S508 in FIG. 5(a). Referring to FIG. 5B, the
In S510, if the first icon does not overlap the second icon (S510: NO), the
In this way, according to the
Note that in the first embodiment, the explanation has been given using an example of a drag-and-drop operation when listing icons included in a custom menu screen. However, it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the example in which a plurality of icons are displayed as a list, and can be applied to operations for moving various contents that can be displayed on a screen.
<Second embodiment>
Next, a second embodiment will be described. The configuration of the
In the second embodiment, the display size of the first icon is detected (including the case where it is obtained in advance), and a threshold value for determining that the first icon has touched the display frame is set according to the display size of the first icon. change. The threshold in this embodiment is not a time threshold but a threshold for determining how much the first icon should protrude from the display frame before the page is to be transitioned. The method for setting and changing the threshold value is to map the threshold value to a predetermined display size (for example, S, M, L display size) used in the AP. Therefore, when a touch down of the first icon is detected, it is possible to change the threshold value for determining that the touch has been made, depending on the display size.
Thereafter, while the first icon is being dragged, it is determined whether the first icon is in contact with the display frame based on a threshold determined according to the display size of the first icon. For example, if you want to move an app button to a page that exists to the right of the display frame, if the size is M and the threshold is M1, if the value of x1 + w1 - M1 exceeds w2 + x2, the app button will touch the display frame 402. It is determined that there is. Conversely, if you want to move the app button to the left page of the display frame, it is determined that the app button is in contact with the display frame 402 when the value of x1+M1 is less than x2. Here, it is assumed that the larger the display size of the icon, the larger the threshold value is set. As a result, if the icon is small, the page will transition if the icon overlaps the display frame even slightly, and if the icon is large, the page will not transition if the icon slightly overlaps the display frame. can be controlled. The second embodiment will be described below, focusing on the differences from the first embodiment.
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram of a display screen in the second embodiment. The same elements as shown in FIG. 2 are given the same reference numerals. The icon display size of the copy button 202 in FIG. 2A is M size, but the copy button 601 in FIG. 6 is S size.
FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram of the processing procedure of the
Note that each processing step in FIG. 7 is realized by the
After the custom menu is displayed, the process from when the first icon is selected until it is determined whether the icon rearrangement flag is set (S501 to S503) is the same as in the first embodiment (FIG. 5(a)). . In the second embodiment, when the icon rearrangement flag is set for the first icon (S503: YES), the
The
According to the second embodiment, when the display size of the icon is different, the threshold value for determining that the icon and the display frame have contacted is also changed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent erroneous operations due to page transitions when the user does not recognize the contact between the icon and the display frame, and more intuitive operations are possible.
<Third embodiment>
Next, a third embodiment will be described. The configuration of the
FIG. 8 is an explanatory diagram of the processing procedure of the
After the custom menu is displayed, the process until it is determined whether the first icon and the display frame are in contact (S501 to S505) is the same as in the first embodiment.
In the third embodiment, when there is contact between the first icon and the display frame (S505: YES), it is determined whether the first icon is stationary (S801). The first icon being stationary means that pixel movement of a predetermined number of pixels has not been detected within a predetermined time for determination of stillness. If the first icon is stationary (S801: YES), the
As described above, according to the third embodiment, page transition cannot be performed unless the first icon is stationary. In other words, the page will not change unless the user confirms that the user wants to change between pages. Therefore, it is possible to avoid a situation where the page changes due to an erroneous operation or an unintended operation during dragging, and it is possible to improve convenience for the user.
<Fourth embodiment>
Next, a fourth embodiment will be described. The configuration of the

After the custom menu is displayed, the process is the same as the first embodiment until it is determined whether the first icon and the display frame are in contact with each other and the period of contact is a predetermined time (S501 to S506). .
In the fourth embodiment, if the first icon and the display frame are in continuous contact with each other for a predetermined period of time (S506: YES), the
According to the fourth embodiment, a user's drag operation is always required when changing pages. Therefore, the user can move the page in the direction he/she wants to move according to his/her own intention, thereby increasing convenience.
