Description
本願は、2019年6月3日付けで出願された「MRI Post-Processing Systems and Methods(MRI後処理システムと方法)」と題する米国仮特許出願第62/856.201号からの優先権を主張し、その内容を参照により本明細書で援用する。
本発明は、磁気共鳴イメージング(magnetic resonance imaging(MRI))データを使用する医療診断、具体的には、MRIデータで組織変性を診断するシステムと方法に関する。
更に、信号強度値の観点から、
図示のように、3つのMRI後処理技法はすべて、IVD変性の組織学的スコアと相関していた(p<0.01)。
右パネル906の顕微鏡写真では、左パネルの領域904を詳細に示す。顕微鏡写真906の内容はすべて、磁気共鳴画像(180×180μm)の1画素内に入るはずである。

Claims (12)
- 少なくとも1つのプロセッサを含むコンピュータシステムを使用し、
被験体の少なくとも1つの関心領域の少なくとも1つのMRI画像の複数の画素の1画素又は画素のサブセットの信号減衰分散を決定する工程であって、
前記信号減衰分散は、前記1画素又は画素のサブセットを特徴付けるMRI信号の減衰率の時間分散を表し、
前記MRI信号は、強度値の級数を含む、前記信号減衰分散を決定する工程と、
前記少なくとも1つのMRI画像を特徴付ける決定された信号減衰分散に従って、前記少なくとも1つの関心領域のMRI信号減衰分散マップを生成する工程と、
前記MRI信号減衰分散マップに従って、被験体の組織変性指標を生成する工程と
、を含む、方法。 - 前記MRI信号はT2強調信号である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記信号減衰分散を決定する工程は、一連の信号保持率を決定する工程を含み、各信号保持率は、前記MRI信号内の連続する信号強度間の比率を表す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記信号減衰分散を決定する工程は、連続する信号保持率間の一連の差分を決定する工程を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記信号減衰分散を決定する工程は、前記MRI信号のタイムスパンにわたる連続する信号保持率間の差分の総和を決定する工程を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記信号減衰分散を決定する工程は、前記MRI信号の初期信号強度に従って、未処理の信号減衰分散を正規化する工程を含む、請求項3~5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記コンピュータシステムを使用して、前記少なくとも1つのMRI画像内の複数の関心領域を特定する工程を更に含み、
前記組織変性指標は、前記複数の関心領域のMRI信号減衰分散マップに従って生成される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの関心領域は、被験体の脊椎の少なくとも一部を含み、前記組織変性指標は、前記被験体の椎間板の変性を特徴付ける、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの関心領域は、髄核及び線維輪領域を含み、前記被験体の軟骨終板領域を除外する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの関心領域は、前記被験体の関節の少なくとも一部を含み、前記組織変性指標は、前記関節の変性を特徴付ける、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記被験体は、ヒト被験体である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 命令を符号化する非一時的コンピュータ可読媒体であって、前記命令は、コンピュータシステムにより実行されると、前記コンピュータシステムに対して、
被験体の少なくとも1つの関心領域の少なくとも1つのMRI画像の複数の画素の1画素又は画素のサブセットの信号減衰分散を決定する工程であって、
前記信号減衰分散は、前記1画素又は画素のサブセットを特徴付けるMRI信号の減衰率の時間分散を表し、
前記MRI信号は、強度値の級数を含む、前記信号減衰分散を決定する工程と、
前記少なくとも1つのMRI画像を特徴付ける決定された信号減衰分散に従って、前記少なくとも1つの関心領域のMRI信号減衰分散マップを生成する工程と、
前記MRI信号減衰分散マップに従って、前記被験体の組織変性指標を生成する工程と、
