そして装着者Ｈは、再び本体部２の前方縁部Ｆを抑えたまま、本体部２の後方縁部Ｒを頭部に密着させるように押えつける。これにより、後方の骨部材３Ｂが頭部に密着し、また後方縁部Ｒに位置するワイヤー５が頭部に沿って密着するように変形する。
このとき、上述したように本体部の前方縁部Ｆの曲線の長さを後方縁部Ｒの曲線の長さよりも長くしていることから、前方縁部Ｆおよび後方縁部Ｒにおける頭部への接触長さがそれぞれ頭部に一致しやすくなっている。
そのうえで、操作部２ｂを変形させて、後方縁部Ｒの接触長さを微調整することにより、様々な形状を有する装着者Ｈの頭部の形状に対しても、後方縁部Ｒを頭部に密着させることが可能となっている。
