Description
本願は、2018年1月12日出願の米国特許出願第15/869,164号に基づく優先権主張の利益を請求し、参照により全ての内容を包含するものである。
低密度ポリエチレンバリアは光線力学療法用に組織にALAの局所用組成物の組織への浸透を促進することによって変換を容易にし、
低密度ポリエチレンバリアは治療部位からの経皮水分損失を最小限に抑えることによって組織へのALAの浸透を促進し、
低密度ポリエチレンバリアは、ALAの局所用組成物の塗布後に治療部位を覆うために使用され、治療部位への光の照射を可能にするために、治療部位から3時間以内に除去されることを特徴とする低密度ポリエチレンバリアの使用に関する。

図1A~図1Bおよび図2A~図2Bは本開示に従って使用することができる構成可能な照明器の一実施の形態を示す図である。照明器は、本体100を含み、本体100は、複数の個別パネル(例えば、パネル10a~10e、それぞれは入れ子状ヒンジ50を介して回転可能に接続されている)を有することが好ましい。図2A~図2Bに示すように、パネルの少なくとも片側には、タブ23がパネルの上部と下部の両方から延びていてもよい。タブ23は、図2に示すように、隣接するパネルの側面がタブ23の間に受け入れられるように構成されている。各パネルは発光ダイオード(LED)60のアレイを含む。所与のアレイに配置された個々のLEDの数は特に限定されない。あるいは、蛍光灯またはハロゲン灯などの他の種類の光源を使用してもよい。LEDアレイ60は、意図された治療に従って、または治療もしくは診断に使用される特定の光活性化剤を活性化するために、適切な波長で光を放射する。
上述したように、光線力学療法の間に、患者は治療過程にわたって総光線量を受ける。総光線量は、J/cm2で表して、経時的(秒単位)にわたる放射照度(mW/cm2)に基づいて測定することができる。次に、ALAと共に上記の調節可能な照明装置を利用する光線力学療法による、光線性角化症などの前癌性病変の治療方法の一例を説明する。
治療すべき部位(すなわち、病変)へのALAの塗布に続いて、治療すべき部位はポリマーバリアで閉塞されてもよい。例えば、図3に示されるように、ポリマーバリア200は、治療すべき部位300の周りに巻き付けられる。図3に示す例示的実施の形態は部位300を取り囲むようにバリア200を描いているが、特定の実施の形態において、バリア200は部位300の一部のみを閉塞してもよいことが理解されるべきである。さらに、バリア200は(例えば、部位300の周りにスリーブを形成するように)実質的に円筒形として描かれているが、バリア200は様々な形状を有することができる。
ALAが上肢に一旦塗布されると、上肢を光線治療の前3時間以下の間、閉塞することができる。例えば、四肢は、2~3時間閉塞することができる。上記のように、ALAは、光線力学療法の一部として使用されるときに、顔面、頭皮または上肢の最低限から中程度の厚さの光線性角化症を含む様々な症状を治療することができるポルフィリン前駆体である。したがって、少なくとも1つの実施の形態では、顔面の一部、頭皮の一部もしくは全部、または上肢の一部もしくは全部の一部もしくは全部を閉塞性バリアで覆うことができる。

Claims (19)
- 光線力学療法用の5-アミノレブリン酸(ALA)の局所用組成物の組織への浸透を促進するための閉塞性ドレッシングであって、低密度ポリエチレンバリアを含み、低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、1.11 g/m2hr以下の経皮水分損失率を供する、閉塞性ドレッシング。
- 低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、0.96 g/m2hr以下の経皮水分損失率を供する、請求項1に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。
- 低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、0.67 g/m2hr以下の経皮水分損失率を供する、請求項1に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。
- バリアが、治療部位に接触するように形成されている、請求項1に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。
- 光線力学療法用の5-アミノレブリン酸(ALA)の局所用組成物の組織への浸透を促進するための閉塞性ドレッシングであって、低密度ポリエチレンバリアを含み、低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、少なくとも65%の治療部位の閉塞度を供する、閉塞性ドレッシング。
- 低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、少なくとも75%の治療部位の閉塞度を供する、請求項5に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。
- 低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、少なくとも85%の治療部位の閉塞度を供する、請求項5に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。
- バリアが、治療部位に接触するように形成されている、請求項5に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。
- バリアが、2層のバリアを含み、上層が弱い圧力を加えて下層を定位置に保つ、請求項5に記載の密閉性ドレッシング。
- 低密度ポリエチレンバリアが、弾性ネットで固定されている、請求項5に記載の密閉性ドレッシング。
- 光線力学療法によって治療される治療部位に5-アミノレブリン酸(ALA)を局所的に塗布するためのALAの局所用組成物の浸透を促進するための低密度ポリエチレンバリアであって、低密度ポリエチレンバリアによる治療部位の被覆が、1.11 g/m2hr以下の経皮水分損失率を供する、低密度ポリエチレンバリア。
- バリアが、材料で覆われている、請求項5に記載の閉塞性ドレッシング。

を含む、キット。 - 低密度ポリエチレンバリアが、0.96 g/m2hr以下の治療部位からの経皮水分損失率を供する、請求項16に記載のキット。
