Description

Claims (15)
- 閉塞性物質(202、302、402、502、602、902)を脈管(204、304、404、504、604)から除去するデバイス(600、800、1300)であって、
前記脈管に挿入する大きさである拡張可能構造体であって1つ以上のワイヤ対を有する拡張可能構造体を備え、前記1つ以上のワイヤ対は、各々、2つのワイヤ(812、814:912、914:1312、1314:1412、1414)から成り、
各ワイヤ対の各ワイヤは、前記デバイスの長手方向中心軸(1336、1436)に対して垂直な半径方向の位置の変化を含んで前記拡張可能構造体の遠位端(822)から近位端(818)まで伸長し、前記各ワイヤ対の一方のワイヤ(812、912、1312、1412)は同じワイヤ対の他方のワイヤ(814、914、1314、1414)の下および/または上を通り、前記1つ以上のワイヤ対は、前記遠位端と前記近位端の間に管状のメッシュ(610)を形成し、
前記各ワイヤ対の各ワイヤは、直径が10~150μmである、
前記デバイス。 - 前記各ワイヤ対は、前記閉塞性物質を捕捉するための空間を形成する少なくとも2つの湾曲部(1412、1414)を含み、前記少なくとも2つの湾曲部は、一方のワイヤの湾曲部(1412)と他方のワイヤの湾曲部(1414)との間の位相差を伴って空間的に配置され、前記空間は、前記位相差によって、少なくとも1つの次元で前記少なくとも2つの湾曲部(1412、1414)間に生成される、
請求項1に記載のデバイス。 - 前記少なくとも2つの湾曲部(1412、1414)間に生成される前記空間は、前記閉塞性物質の少なくとも一部分を受け入れるのに十分な大きさであるようにサイズ決めされている、
請求項2に記載のデバイス。 - 前記空間は、前記半径方向の成分を含む寸法(a、a’、a’’)を有する、
請求項2または3に記載のデバイス。 - 前記空間の前記半径方向の成分の寸法は、0.01~0.2mmである、
請求項4に記載のデバイス。 - 前記デバイスを屈曲することによって、当該屈曲した部分において前記各ワイヤ対の一方のワイヤ(812、912、1312、1412)の対応部分が同じワイヤ対の他方のワイヤ(814、914、1314、1414)の対応部分よりも前記デバイスの長手方向中心軸から半径方向に突出して、前記閉塞性物質を捕捉するための空間を形成または拡大する、
請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。 - 前記デバイスの前記長手方向中心軸(1336、1436)を中心にして前記デバイスを回転させることによって、前記各ワイヤ対の一方のワイヤ(812、814:912、914:1312、1314:1412、1414)が同じワイヤ対の他方のワイヤ(814、914、1314、1414)よりも前記デバイスの前記長手方向中心軸から半径方向に突出して、前記閉塞性物質を捕捉するための空間を形成または拡大する、
請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。 - 前記デバイスを拡張すると、前記1つ以上のワイヤ対によって形成される前記閉塞性物質を捕捉するための空間の、前記半径方向の次元の寸法が増大する一方、前記空間の、前記半径方向の次元と異なる次元の寸法が減少する、
請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。 - 前記拡張可能構造体は、非円筒形状を有する、
請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。 - 前記拡張可能構造体は、形状が不規則に変化する不規則形状を有する、

請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。 - 前記デバイスの長手方向中心軸は、前記デバイスの長さに沿った複数の平行な円形断面の中心点を接続する線として定義され、前記デバイスの長さ全体に沿った前記中心点の各々において、対応する前記円形断面は、前記デバイス内に包含可能な最大の円である、
請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載のデバイス。 - 前記各ワイヤ対の各ワイヤは、超弾性材料、可撓性材料、および生体適合性材料のうちの1つ以上で作られている、
