Description
低物品を以下のように調製した。手短に、酢酸セルロースフィルターおよびポリ乳酸の捲縮シート(「PLA」)のエアロゾル冷却要素は、Philip Morris International HEETSエアロゾル発生物品から除去された。60個のエアロゾル発生物品それぞれについて、PLAエアロゾル冷却要素は、エタノール中1パーセント(w/v)クエン酸溶液、エタノール中5パーセントクエン酸溶液、または純エタノール(参照として)のいずれかにより含浸された。含浸は、PLA要素をそれぞれの溶液に浸漬することによって達成され、浸漬された要素をフィルター紙に垂直に1分間配置して、過剰な溶液を除去し、その後、処理されたエアロゾル冷却要素を真空下、室温で3時間乾燥させた。PLAエアロゾル冷却要素を含浸することによって1パーセントまたは5パーセントのクエン酸を含浸することによって追加されるクエン酸の量が、これらの含浸されたエアロゾル冷却要素の平均重量の純エタノールで処理されたエアロゾル冷却要素の重量に対する差異から計算された。1パーセントおよび5パーセントのクエン酸溶液での処理により、それぞれPLA要素当たり、1.81および9.2mgのクエン酸添加となった。PLA要素の重量は2400mgであった。したがって、クエン酸はそれぞれ、約0.08重量パーセント~0.4重量パーセントで要素に組み込まれた。
高物品を以下のように調製した。手短に、酢酸セルロースフィルターをPhilip Morris International HEETSエアロゾル発生物品から除去した。フィルターは、水性クエン酸溶液(1パーセントまたは5パーセントクエン酸)の液滴をフィルターの上流端に浸み込ませ、処理したフィルターを真空で乾燥し、フィルターをエアロゾル発生物品に再挿入することによって調製された。1パーセントおよび5パーセントのクエン酸溶液での処理により、それぞれフィルター当たり、0.5および1.5mgのクエン酸添加となった。フィルターの重量は約1300mgであった。したがって、クエン酸はそれぞれ、約0.04重量パーセント~0.12重量パーセントで要素に組み込まれた。
アンモニアおよびニコチンのエアロゾルレベルは未処理のエアロゾル発生物品について分析され、四つの異なるコンセプトはISO 3402:1999に従って実行され、ISO 3308:2012に記載のルーチン紙巻たばこ喫煙機械分析手法、ニコチン決定のためのCORESTA推奨の方法第7およびイオンクロマトグラフィー分析によるアンモニア決定のためのCORESTA推奨の方法第79のもとで試験された。
アンモニアの決定については、発生したエアロゾルを二つのマイクロインピンジャーで収集し、それぞれが10mLの0.1N硫酸(H2SO4)溶液を含み、ガラス繊維フィルターパッドの後ろで直列に接続された。二つのマイクロインピンジャーの内容物をそれぞれ10mLの脱イオン水でリンスし、プールし、喫煙後にパッドで合わせ、ガラス繊維フィルターパッド上に収集された閉じ込められたエアロゾルをプールした捕捉溶液で抽出した。エアロゾル抽出物を、抑制されたイオン導電率を用いてイオンクロマトグラフィー(IC)により分析した。
「低物品」については、アンモニアエアロゾルレベルの有意な減少が、クエン酸によるPLAエアロゾル冷却要素の含浸またはフィルターの含浸のいずれの後にも、観察された。5パーセントエタノールクエン酸溶液で含浸されたPLAエアロゾル冷却要素は、エアロゾルアンモニアレベルの34パーセント低減をもたらした。1パーセントクエン酸溶液を含浸させたPLAエアロゾル冷却要素、および0.5mgクエン酸を含浸させたものは、PLAエアロゾル冷却要素の含浸がスティックにより多量の酸(1.81mg)を加えた場合であっても、ともに同程度までアンモニアレベルを低下させた(それぞれ18パーセントおよび20パーセント)。

- エアロゾル発生装置(110)と使用するためのエアロゾル発生物品(10)であって、前記エアロゾル発生物品(10)が、
エアロゾル形成基体(20)、
エアロゾル冷却要素(40)であって、長軸方向に延びる複数のチャネルを画定する本体を含み、前記長軸方向に50パーセント~90パーセントの空隙率を有する、エアロゾル冷却要素(40)、
フィルター(50)、
任意で支持要素(30)、および
酸を含み、
前記エアロゾル冷却要素(40)が前記エアロゾル形成基体(20)の下流にあり、
前記フィルター(50)が、前記エアロゾル形成基体(20)の下流にあり、
存在する場合、前記支持要素(30)が、前記エアロゾル形成基体(20)のすぐ下流にあるように前記エアロゾル形成基体(20)に当接し、
前記酸が前記エアロゾル形成基体(20)の下流にあり、前記エアロゾル発生物品(10)が前記エアロゾル発生装置(110)と使用された時に、前記エアロゾル形成基体(20)からのエアロゾルと相互作用するように配置され、
前記酸が前記冷却要素(40)上にある、エアロゾル発生物品(10)。 - 前記酸がさらに前記支持要素(30)上にある、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル発生物品(10)。

- 前記酸が前記支持要素(30)上またはその中にある、請求項7に記載のエアロゾル発生物品(10)。
- 前記エアロゾル発生装置(110)で使用される時、前記物品(10)によって送達されるエアロゾル中のアンモニアの量が、前記酸を含まない実質的に同様のエアロゾル発生物品(10)に対して少なくとも15パーセント低減され、前記エアロゾル発生装置(10)と併用される時、前記物品(10)により送達されるエアロゾル中のニコチンの量が、前記酸を含まない実質的に同様のエアロゾル発生物品(10)に対して6パーセント以下低減される、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のエアロゾル発生物品(10)。
