Description
(i)固体バイオマスフィードを熱分解反応に供し、それにより、水素と一酸化炭素とガス状の有機化合物の混合物とを含むガス状フラクションと、固体バイオマスフィードと比較して低い原子状水素対炭素の比率及び低い酸素対炭素の比率を有するチャー粒子を含む固体状フラクションと、を得る工程であって、固体バイオマスフィードが、固体の焙焼されたバイオマスフィードである、工程と、
(ii)ガス状フラクションからチャー生成物としてチャー粒子を分離する工程と、
(iii)工程(ii)において得られたガス状フラクションを、連続的に操作される部分酸化に供し、更に水を含む高温の合成ガス混合物を得る工程と、
(iv)合成ガス混合物を炭素質化合物と接触させて合成ガス混合物を化学的にクエンチする工程であって、工程(iv)において、合成ガスの温度が、1000~1600℃の範囲の温度から、800~1200℃の温度に低下する、工程と、
を含む、方法。

Claims (14)
- 固体バイオマスフィードから、チャー生成物と水素及び一酸化炭素を含む合成ガス混合物とを調製する方法であって、
(i)前記固体バイオマスフィードを熱分解反応に供し、それにより、水素と一酸化炭素とガス状の有機化合物の混合物とを含むガス状フラクションと、前記固体バイオマスフィードと比較して低い原子状水素対炭素の比率及び低い酸素対炭素の比率を有するチャー粒子を含む固体状フラクションと、を得る工程であって、前記固体バイオマスフィードが、固体の焙焼されたバイオマスフィードのペレットである、工程と、
ここで、工程(i)における前記熱分解工程が、500~800℃の温度で、10~60分間の固体の滞留時間で行われ、
工程(i)の熱分解工程に供給される酸素の量は、工程(i)に供給されるバイオマスの質量当たり、0.1~0.3の質量の酸素であり、
(ii)前記ガス状フラクションから前記チャー生成物として前記チャー粒子を分離する工程と、
(iii)工程(ii)において得られた前記ガス状フラクションを、連続的に操作される部分酸化に供し、更に水を含む高温の合成ガス混合物を得る工程と、
を含む、方法。 - 工程(i)が炉において行われ、前記バイオマスが、細長い炉の一方の入口端部から前記細長い炉の他方の出口端部へと連続的に運搬され、必要な温度が、間接的な熱交換と前記ガス状有機化合物の一部の部分酸化との組合せにより得られる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記固体の焙焼されたバイオマスフィードが、65~75重量%の揮発物含量を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記固体の焙焼されたバイオマスフィードが、1~1.2の原子状水素対炭素(H/C)比率を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記固体の焙焼されたバイオマスフィードが、0.4~0.6の原子状酸素対炭素(O/C)比率を有する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 工程(i)における固体の原子状水素対炭素(H/C)の比率の減少が50%超であり、工程(i)における固体の原子状酸素対炭素(O/C)の比率の減少が80%超である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(ii)で得られる前記チャー生成物が、300~500m2/gのBET(N2)表面積を有する、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(iv)において、前記合成ガス混合物が1~5個の炭素原子数を有する炭化水素と接触して、前記合成ガス混合物が化学的にクエンチされ、前記合成ガスの温度が、工程(iv)において1100~1600℃の範囲の温度から、800~1200℃の温度に低下する、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(iv)の前記1~5個の炭素原子数を有する炭化水素がメタンである、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記メタンが天然ガス混合物の一部として存在する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記合成ガスの温度が、工程(iv)において1100~1600℃の範囲の温度から800~1200℃の温度に低下する、請求項8から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(iv)で得られる前記合成ガスの水素対COのモル比が、工程(iv)で添加される1~5個の炭素原子数を有する炭化水素の量及び/又は種類を変えることにより制御される、請求項8から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(i)及び/又は工程(ii)の絶対圧が、90kPa~10MPaである、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 別の工程(v)において、前記チャー生成物を活性化し、700m2/g超のBET(N2)表面積を有する活性炭生成物を得る、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
