Description

The present invention relates to a knitting method for fixing a wire to a knitted fabric.

2. Description of the Related Art A knitting method is known in which a knitted fabric is knitted by a flat knitting machine and a wire different from the knitting yarn forming the knitted fabric is fixed to the knitted fabric. For example, Patent Literature 1 discloses inlay knitting in which a wire is sandwiched between a plurality of stitches distributed to front and rear needle beds.

In the conventional knitting method, the wire is held in the knitted fabric by a plurality of stitches spaced apart in the knitting width direction from the front and back, so that the wire is arranged so as to sew the knitted fabric. Wires with such an arrangement are exposed on both the front and back sides of the knitted fabric. Therefore, it is difficult to meet the need to hide the wire on the back side of the knitted fabric, for example. In addition, in the conventional knitting method, since the front side and the back side of the wire are only sandwiched between the stitches, there is also a problem that the position of the wire in the knitted fabric is easily shifted.

In view of the above circumstances, one of the objects of the present invention is to provide a knitting method capable of firmly fixing a wire to a knitted fabric without exposing the wire on the surface of the knitted fabric.

<1> The knitting method of the present invention comprises:
In a knitting method for fixing a wire rod to a knitted fabric using a flat knitting machine having a first needle bed and a second needle bed facing each other across a needle bed,
An operation of fixing the wire using a fixing yarn supplied from a first feeder provided in the flat knitting machine in a state where the first stitch row, which is a part of the knitted fabric, is held on the first needle bed. and
Said operation is
a step A of knitting a first stitch on the empty needles of the first needle bed or the second needle bed;
A step B of knitting a second stitch on an empty needle different from the step A;
a step C of knitting a third stitch continuously in the wale direction of the first stitch;
a step D in which the third stitch is superimposed on the stitches of the first stitch row, and a portion of the fixed yarn connecting the second stitch and the third stitch crosses the needle gap;
A step E of arranging the wire in the tooth gap;
a step F of knitting a fourth stitch continuously in the wale direction of the second stitch;
A step G of overlapping the fourth stitch on the stitch of the first stitch row and entangling a portion of the fixing yarn that connects the fourth stitch and the third stitch with the wire,
The first stitch is a twisted stitch.

<2> As one form of the knitting method of the present invention,
At least one of the second stitch, the third stitch, and the fourth stitch may be a twisted stitch.

<3> As one form of the knitting method of the present invention,
An embodiment may include a step X of forming a tuck in the stitches of the first stitch row between the step E and the step F.

<4> As one form of the knitting method of the present invention,
In the step G, there is an embodiment in which the fourth stitch is arranged between the wire rod and the first stitch row.

In the knitting method of the present invention, the wire is fixed to the knitted fabric via the fixing yarn fixed to the knitted fabric. Therefore, the wire is not exposed on the opposite side of the knitted fabric to which the fixing yarn is fixed. Further, in the knitting method of the present invention, the fixing yarn is firmly fixed to the knitted fabric, and the fixing yarn is entwined with the wire rod. Therefore, the wire is less likely to come off the knitted fabric, and the position of the wire in the knitted fabric is less likely to shift.

A twisted stitch is a stitch that is difficult to unravel. This is because when the fixing thread is pulled, the twist becomes smaller and it becomes like a knot. Therefore, according to the knitting method of the above aspect <2>, the fixing yarn is more strongly fixed to the knitted fabric.

According to the knitting method of the above aspect <3>, the fixing yarn is fixed to the hook of the knitting needle by the tuck before knitting the fourth stitch on the second stitch, thereby making it easier to knit the fourth stitch. In particular, it is effective to form tuck stitches when the second stitch is not a twist stitch but a pickup stitch. In addition, the portion of the fixed yarn extending from the third stitch to the tuck stitch is entwined with the wire rod, so that the wire rod is firmly held by the fixed yarn.

According to the knitting method of form <4>, the wire rod is sandwiched between the third and fourth stitches and the tuck stitch. As a result, the holding of the wire by the fixing thread becomes stronger.

FIG. 1 is a knitting process diagram of a knitting method according to an embodiment.

<Embodiment 1>
In Embodiment 1, as a knitting method of the present invention, a knitting example in which a wire rod is fixed to a knitted fabric using a two-bed flat knitting machine will be described. In the following description, the front needle bed and the rear needle bed of the two-bed flat knitting machine are denoted as FB and BB, respectively. In this example, BB is the first needle bed and FB is the second needle bed. Of course, the knitting method of the present invention can also be carried out using a four-bed flat knitting machine. In this case, the lower back needle bed and the upper back needle bed are the first needle bed, and the lower front needle bed and the upper front needle bed are the second needle bed.

The wire in this example is a knitting yarn that can be supplied from a feeder, but it is a knitting yarn that is unsuitable for knitting. Such knitting yarns include, for example, knitting yarns having a thickness that does not fit on the hooks of knitting needles of a flat knitting machine, mall yarns that are easily caught by hooks, and wide tape yarns such as ribbons.

The knitting method of this example will be specifically described with reference to FIG. "S+Number" in FIG. 1 indicates the number of the knitting process. Black dots indicate knitting needles, and capital letters indicate the positions of FB and BB knitting needles. A circle mark indicates a stitch of the knitted fabric 1 . The solid circle marks in S8 indicate the stitches of the knitted fabric 1 knitted in S8. Inverted triangular marks indicate a first feeder 8 that feeds the fixed thread 2 to the tooth gap 1G and a second feeder 9 that feeds the wire rod 3 to the tooth gap 1G. A vertical straight arrow indicates the movement of the stitches, and a horizontal straight arrow indicates the moving direction of the second feeder 9 .

S1 shows a state in which the stitches of the first stitch row 10 are held at the BB. The first stitch row 10 is part of the knitted fabric 1 . The knitted fabric 1 of this example is a one-piece knitted fabric like a handkerchief. In this knitted fabric 1, the surface on the BB side in the facing direction of FB and BB is the front surface, and the surface on the FB side is the back surface. In this example, the wire 3 is fixed to the back surface of the knitted fabric 1 by the subsequent knitting process. Unlike this example, the knitted fabric 1 may be a tubular knitted fabric. When fixing the wire 3 to the tubular knitted fabric, it is preferable to use a four-bed flat knitting machine. With a four-bed flat knitting machine, the stitches of the tubular knitted fabric do not become coarse.

In S1, the first feeder 8 that supplies the fixed yarn 2 is moved, and the first stitch 21 is knitted on the knitting needle B of the FB, which is an empty needle (corresponding to step A). The first stitch 21 is a twisted stitch knitted when the first feeder 8 is moved rightward, passed through the knitting needle B, and then moved leftward. Here, the fixing yarn 2 of this example is a knitting yarn different from the knitting yarn forming the knitted fabric 1 . Different from this example, the fixed yarn 2 may be the same as the knitting yarn forming the knitted fabric 1 . That is, the following steps may be performed using a feeder for knitting the knitted fabric 1 . In this case, the fixing thread 2 becomes inconspicuous, and the thread end of the fixing thread 2 becomes unnecessary.

Further, in S1, a second stitch 22 is knitted on the knitting needle D of the FB, which is an empty needle (corresponding to step B). The second stitch 22 of this example is a twisted stitch. The second stitch 22 may be a pick-up stitch. The second stitch 22, which is a pick-up stitch, is twisted when it is moved to the BB in S3, which will be described later, and becomes a twisted stitch.

In S2, a third stitch 23 continuous in the wale direction of the first stitch 21 is knitted (corresponding to step C). The third stitch 23 in this example is a twisted stitch. Unlike this example, the third stitch 23 may be a knit stitch that is not a twisted stitch.

In S3, the third stitch 23 is superimposed on the stitch 13 (see S1) of the first stitch row 10 held by the knitting needle B of the BB (corresponding to step D). By moving the twisted third stitch 23 from FB to BB, the third stitch 23 is further twisted. That is, the third stitch 23 is twisted twice. Also, the portion of the fixed yarn 2 that connects the second stitch 22 and the third stitch 23 crosses the needle gap 1G.

In S4, the second feeder 9 is moved to arrange the wire 3 in the tooth gap 1G (corresponding to step E). The wire rod 3 intersects above the fixing yarn 2 connecting the second stitch 22 and the third stitch 23 .

In S5, the first feeder 8 is once moved to the left of the knitting needle C, then moved to the right, and is moved to the stitch 19 (see S1) of the first stitch row 10 held by the knitting needle C of the BB. Tuck stitches 29 are formed (corresponding to step X). The tuck stitch 29 is laid on the knitted fabric 1 across the front side of the wire 3, that is, the opposite side of the knitted fabric 1 with the wire 3 interposed therebetween. A fixing yarn 2 that connects the third stitch 23 and the tuck stitch 29 is entwined with the wire rod 3 . More specifically, the portion of the fixed yarn 2 extending from the third stitch 23 to the tuck stitch 29 extends from the back side to the front side of the wire 3 and is wound around the wire 3 from below the wire 3 half a turn. Since the fixing yarn 2 is fixed to the hook of the knitting needle C by forming the tuck 29, the knitting of the fourth stitch 24 in S6 below is facilitated.

In S6, the fourth stitch 24 is knitted continuously in the wale direction of the second stitch 22 (corresponding to step F). The fourth stitch 24 in this example is a knit stitch. Unlike this example, the fourth stitch 24 may be a twisted stitch.

In S7, the second feeder 9 is once moved to the left of the knitting needle D, and then the fourth stitch 24 is moved to the knitting needle D of the BB (corresponding to step G). Furthermore, in S7, the second feeder 9 is moved rightward. The fourth stitch 24 is twisted by being moved from FB to BB and becomes a twisted stitch . By S7, the fourth stitch 24 is arranged on the far side of the wire rod 3, that is, between the wire rod 3 and the knitted fabric 1. As shown in FIG. Here, the third stitch 23 knitted in S2 is arranged on the back side of the wire 3, and the tuck stitch 29 knitted in S5 crosses the front side of the wire 3. Therefore, the wire 3 is sandwiched between the third stitch 23 and the fourth stitch and the tuck stitch 29 . Also, a portion of the fixed yarn 2 that connects the third stitch 23 and the tuck stitch 29 and a portion that connects the tuck stitch 29 and the fourth stitch 24 are entwined with the wire rod 3 . More specifically, the part of the fixed yarn 2 extending from the tuck 29 to the fourth stitch 24 extends from the front side to the back side of the wire 3 and is wound around the wire 3 from below the wire 3 half a turn. As a result, the holding of the wire 3 by the fixing thread 2 becomes stronger.

The knitting from S1 to S7 may be performed multiple times at different positions in the knitting width direction. For example, the knitting from S1 to S7 may be performed at a position (not shown) on the right side of the knitting needle D in FIG.

In S8, a feeder (not shown) is moved to knit a new first stitch row 10. As a result, the fixing yarn 2 is firmly fixed to the first stitch row 10 .

According to the knitting method shown in FIG. 1 , the wire rod 3 is fixed to the knitted fabric 1 via the fixing yarn 2 fixed to the knitted fabric 1 . Therefore, the wire 3 is not exposed on the BB side surface of the knitted fabric 1, that is, on the front side surface of the knitted fabric 1. Further, since the fixing yarn 2 entwined with the wire 3 is firmly fixed to the knitted fabric 1 , the wire 3 is less likely to come off the knitted fabric 1 and is less likely to shift from a predetermined position on the knitted fabric 1 .

As a first modification of the first embodiment, only the fourth stitch 24 may be moved without moving the second feeder 9 in S7. In this case, the wire rod 3 is sandwiched between the third stitch 23 and the tuck stitch 29 and the fourth stitch 24 .

As a second modification of the first embodiment, S5 can be omitted. In that case, the fourth stitch 24 is knitted continuously in the wale direction of the second stitch 22 after S4. After that, in S7, the fourth stitch 24 is preferably superimposed on the stitch 14 of the first stitch row 10 without moving the wire rod 3 . In this case, the wire 3 is sandwiched between the third stitch 23 and the fourth stitch 24 .

損傷する恐れのある線材としては、例えばRFID(radio frequency identifier)糸などが挙げられる。
<Embodiment 2>
The wire 3 is not limited to knitting yarn. For example, the wire 3 may be a wire that may be damaged by being caught on a hook of a knitting needle, a wire that may damage the hook, or the like. Wires that may be damaged include, for example, RFID (radio frequency identifier) threads. An RFID yarn is a knitting yarn in which a plurality of communication units are arranged at intervals in the drawing direction of the knitting yarn. The communication unit has an ID chip and an antenna wire. If the hook hooks the ID chip, the ID chip may be damaged. If the hook bends the antenna wire, the communication performance of the antenna wire may deteriorate. In the knitting method of this example, the wire 3 is not caught on the hook of the knitting needle. Therefore, even such a wire that is easily damaged can be fixed to the knitted fabric 1 according to the knitting method of this example.

Wires that may damage the hook include hard wires such as metal thread and monofilament thread. In the knitting method of this example, the wire 3 is not caught on the hook of the knitting needle. Therefore, even such a hard wire rod can be fixed to the knitted fabric 1 according to the knitting method of this example.

Here, the wire may have a form that cannot be supplied by a feeder. Examples of such forms include a form in which the length of the wire is short, a form in which the thickness of the wire is too thick, and a form in which the wire cannot be bent. In that case, it is preferable to install a configuration for supplying the wire to the needle gap on the flat knitting machine. Such a configuration includes, for example, a robot arm that grips a wire rod and places it in the tooth gap.
