Description
本発明の目的の1つは、コアのいずれかにおけるグラフェンの組込みによってゴルフボールコアの耐久性と、ボールのインパクト強度とを向上させることである。この利点は、低圧縮シングルピースコアを有するように設計されたボール又は内側コアよりも堅固な外側コアを有する二重コアを有するように設計されたボールのいずれかに見られる。グラフェンを使用することによるコア又はマントル組成物の向上した耐久性により、高速試験装置の繰返しインパクトに対して又は通常のプレーにおけるゴルフクラブによって故障するまでの平均時間(MTTF)がより長くなり得る。
コアは、空気圧試験機(PTM)において150fpsでショットされた。

この研究では、グラフェンC(0.01~6%、Cheap Tubes Inc.、Ad-Nano Technologies Private Limited、MKnano、XG Sciences Inc.、Angstron Materials Inc.などの各社供給元で入手可能であり、400~800m2/gの平均表面積を有する)を二重コア構造体の外側コアに導入した。二重コアは、約0.940”の直径を有する成形済みの内側コア周囲の外側コア2分割部を圧縮成形し、200lbの負荷による偏差の約0.200インチの軽圧縮によって作製された。内側及び外側コアの硬化を1~30分間の範囲の時間にわたって150~400Fの範囲の温度で行った。成形後、二重コアを、試験前に約1.554”まで球状に粉砕した。

- ポリブタジエン材料を含む内側コアと、
外側コアであって、前記外側コアは、前記外側コアの0.8~1.6重量パーセントの範囲の量のグラフェン材料と、ポリブタジエン材料とを含み、80MPa~95MPaの範囲の曲げ弾性率を有し、前記グラフェン材料は、300m2/g~400m2/gの範囲の表面積を有する、前記外側コアと、
前記外側コアの上に配置されたカバー層であって、30~40重量%の高中和ポリマー、10~20重量%の第1のアイオノマー、10~20重量%の第2のアイオノマー、20~50重量%の衝撃改良剤を含有する15~25重量%のマスターバッチ、及び5~15重量%のカラーマスターバッチを含む前記カバー層と
を備えたゴルフボールであって、
