Description
The present application relates to piezoelectric vibrators, oscillators, electronic devices, and radio clocks.
2. Description of the Related Art There is a piezoelectric vibration device in which a housing space for an electronic component element and a container having side walls are airtightly joined with a lid via brazing material (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the above piezoelectric vibration device, a groove is formed on the top surface of the side wall, and the brazing material extends from the opening end on the inner peripheral side of the groove as a starting point to the area corresponding to the inner side of the virtual line extending vertically upward from the opening end of the lid. A fillet is formed to join the lid and the container.
Some piezoelectric vibrators have a structure in which a piezoelectric vibrating piece is housed in a housing portion of a package body, and the package body and a closing plate (cover plate) are welded together. In such a piezoelectric vibrator, it is desirable to prevent foreign matter such as splash generated during welding from entering the accommodating portion of the package body. In order to suppress the generation of foreign matter, it is conceivable to lower the applied voltage during welding, but if the applied voltage is low, the welding strength will be low, and the sealing performance between the package body and the closure plate will be deteriorated.
An object of the present application is to maintain a tight seal between a package body that houses a piezoelectric vibrating piece and a closure plate, and to suppress entry of foreign matter when welding the closure plate to the package body.
In the first aspect, the package body includes a piezoelectric vibrating piece that vibrates at a predetermined frequency when a voltage is applied, and a rectangular parallelepiped box-like housing portion having a frame and a bottom, in which the piezoelectric vibrating piece is housed. a blocking plate that is welded to the package body to block the accommodating portion; and a blocking portion that blocks foreign matter from advancing from the corner side of the frame portion to the accommodating portion.
In this piezoelectric vibrator, a piezoelectric vibrating piece is housed in a housing portion of a rectangular parallelepiped box-shaped package body, and the housing portion is closed by welding a closing plate to the package body.
The piezoelectric vibrator has a blocking portion, which blocks foreign matter from advancing from the corner side of the frame portion of the package body to the accommodating portion. For example, even if foreign matter such as splash occurs when the package body and the closure plate (cover plate) are welded together, the foreign matter is prevented from entering the accommodating portion of the package body. As a result, the vibration characteristics of the piezoelectric vibrator can be maintained satisfactorily.
Moreover, it is not necessary to lower the applied voltage during welding in order to prevent foreign matter generated during welding from entering the accommodating portion. By sufficiently increasing the voltage applied during welding, the package body and the closing plate can be reliably welded together, and the tightness can be maintained.
In a second aspect, in the first aspect, the blocking portion includes a thick portion that thickens the corner portion of the frame portion toward the accommodating portion in plan view.
Thus, the blocking portion can be formed with a simple structure in which the corner portion of the frame portion is thickened toward the accommodating portion.
In a third aspect, in the second aspect, the thick portion is convexly curved toward the accommodating portion in plan view.
Compared to a structure in which the thick portion is not curved in this way, it is possible to reliably suppress the advance of foreign matter into the accommodating portion.
In a fourth aspect, in the second or third aspect, the frame portion and the thick portion are flush with each other on the side facing the closing plate.
Since the gap between the frame and the thick-walled portion is constant with respect to the blocking plate, foreign matter can be reliably prevented from advancing into the accommodating portion, compared to a structure in which the gap is widened at the thick-walled portion, for example.
In a fifth aspect, in any one of the first to fourth aspects, the blocking portion is located at a gap from the closing plate in the frame portion closer to the accommodating portion than the corner portion of the closing plate in plan view. a groove formed with
Thus, the cut-off portion can be formed with a simple structure in which the groove portion is provided in the frame portion.
In a sixth aspect, in the fifth aspect, the groove has two sides in a direction along the frame in the plan view.
Therefore, compared with a structure in which the groove portion has only one side along the frame portion, it is possible to more reliably prevent foreign matter from advancing into the storage portion.
A seventh aspect comprises the piezoelectric vibrator of any one of the first to sixth aspects, and the piezoelectric vibrator is electrically connected to an integrated circuit as an oscillator.
A piezoelectric vibrator electrically connected to the integrated circuit as an oscillator has a cut-off portion. Since foreign matter generated when the package body and the closure plate (cover plate) are welded together is suppressed from entering the accommodation portion of the package body, good oscillation characteristics can be obtained as an oscillator.
An eighth aspect comprises the piezoelectric vibrator according to any one of the first to sixth aspects, and the piezoelectric vibrator is electrically connected to a clock section.
A piezoelectric vibrator electrically connected to the timekeeping section has a cutoff section. Foreign matter generated when the package body and the closure plate (cover plate) are welded together is prevented from entering the accommodating portion of the package body, so that the electronic device can obtain excellent timekeeping characteristics.
In the ninth aspect, any one of the first to sixth piezoelectric vibrators is provided, and the piezoelectric vibrator is electrically connected to the filter section.
A piezoelectric vibrator electrically connected to the filter section has a cutoff section. Foreign matter generated when the package main body and the closure plate (cover plate) are welded together is prevented from entering the accommodating portion of the package main body, so that good characteristics can be obtained as a radio-controlled timepiece.
In the present application, it is possible to maintain a tight seal between the package main body that accommodates the piezoelectric vibrating piece and the closure plate, and to prevent foreign matter from entering when the closure plate is welded to the package main body.

Furthermore, in the drawing three arrows X, Y and Z are shown perpendicular to each other. 1 to 5, arrow X and the opposite -X direction correspond to the width direction, arrow Y and the opposite -Y direction correspond to the longitudinal direction, and arrow Z and the opposite -Z direction correspond to the thickness direction. .

An excitation electrode (not shown) is provided on the surface of the piezoelectric vibrating
As shown in FIGS. 1-5, the

The

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, the inside of the

As shown in FIG. 3 , the position of the
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4,

As shown in FIGS. 4, 5 and 7, the closing
より具体的には、例えばアルミナ製のHTCC(High Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic)や、ガラスセラミック製のLTCC(Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic)等が挙げられる。

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, the four corners 68AC, 68AD, 68BC, and 68BD of the

Specifically, two
When welding the
When the voltage applied to the
Here, FIG. 11 shows a partially enlarged
In the
On the other hand, in this embodiment, the package
Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described.
In this embodiment, a predetermined voltage is applied to the piezoelectric vibrating
In this embodiment, as described above, the
It is conceivable to reduce the voltage applied during welding in order to prevent foreign matter generated when the closing
FIG. 12 shows a piezoelectric vibrator 82 of a modification of the first embodiment. The
The sides of the
The vibrating
Next, a second embodiment will be described. In the
As shown in FIGS. 13 to 15, in the
The
Each
Also in the second embodiment, as a method of manufacturing the
Particularly in the second embodiment, the
In the second embodiment, even if foreign matter generated when the closing
In particular, as shown in FIG. 14, the
Next, a third embodiment will be described. In the
As shown in FIGS. 17 to 19, in the
Therefore, in the third embodiment, both the
In the third embodiment, the provision of the
In each of the above-described embodiments, the

For example, FIG. 20 shows
In the
In addition, by selectively setting the configuration of the
