Description
Claims (18)
- 任意に再作像可能な表面を有する可変データリソグラフィシステムを用いて印刷するのに有用な装置であって、
前記任意に再作像可能な表面に近接して配置されるサーマルプリントヘッド素子と、
前記サーマルプリントヘッドを選択的に一時的に高温に加熱するために、前記サーマルプリントヘッドに伝達可能に接続された駆動回路であって、
それによって、前記サーマルプリントヘッドに近接している前記任意に再作像可能な表面の部分が、前記サーマルプリントヘッドが前記高温であるときに、前記サーマルプリントヘッドによって加熱される、駆動回路と、
流動導管から提供される空中を浮遊する湿し流体を、凝縮領域に閉じ込めて、前記任意に再作像可能な表面に空隙を有する湿し流体層を形成することを支持する流動制御構造と、を備え、
前記流動制御構造が、前記サーマルプリントヘッド素子に直接隣接し、かつプロセス方向に関して下流にある、装置。 - 前記サーマルプリントヘッドが、
遠位端部を有する基板と、
前記遠位端部で前記基板によって担持される感熱素子と、を備え、
それによって、前記サーマルプリントヘッドが、前記基板の前記遠位端部が前記任意に再作像可能な表面により近くなるように、前記可変データリソグラフィシステム内に配置される、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記感熱素子が、発熱抵抗体のアレイを備える、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記駆動回路が、前記サーマルプリントヘッド基板によってさらに担持されている、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記サーマルプリントヘッドが、前記サーマルプリントヘッドが前記高温であるときに、前記任意に再作像可能な表面と物理的に接触するように配置される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流動制御構造が、マニホールドからのガス流動を、前記凝縮領域内の前記任意に再作像可能な表面の方向に方向付けるように、前記マニホールド内に形成された少なくとも1つのノズルを有する前記マニホールドである、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記サーマルプリントヘッドに近接している前記任意に再作像可能な表面の前記加熱された部分が、前記加熱された部分上の湿し流体の凝縮が抑制されるように前記凝縮領域内の温度を超える、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記流動導管が、前記流動導管上の湿し流体の凝縮が抑制されるような温度に維持される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流動導管を通して、空中を浮遊する状態の湿し流体を前記任意に再作像可能な表面に提供するように構成される、湿し流体リザーバをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- インクを受け取り、前記インクを印刷基材に転写するために、作像部材の任意に再作像可能な表面上に潜像を形成する方法であって、
前記任意に再作像可能な表面上に潜像を生成することを、
サーマルプリントヘッド素子を、前記任意に再作像可能な表面層に接触させて配置することと、
前記サーマルプリントヘッドを駆動して、前記サーマルプリントヘッドを選択的に一時的に高温に加熱し、それによって、前記サーマルプリントヘッドが前記高温であるときに、前記任意に再作像可能な表面の部分が加熱されることと、
流動制御構造および流動導管で、凝縮領域を閉じ込めて、前記任意に再作像可能な表面に空隙を有する湿し流体層を形成することを支持することと、
インクが、前記空隙を選択的に占有するように、前記任意に再作像可能な表面層上に前記インクを塗布して、それによって、インク供給された潜像を生成し、かつ前記インク供給された潜像を印刷基材に転写することとによって生成することを含み、
前記流動制御構造が、前記サーマルプリントヘッド素子に直接隣接し、かつプロセス方向に関して下流にある、方法。 - 前記サーマルプリントヘッドが、前記任意に再作像可能な表面を、
前記基板の前記遠位端部が、前記任意に再作像可能な表面により近くなるように配置される感熱素子を備える、遠位端部を有する基板を使用することによって加熱する、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 前記感熱素子が、発熱抵抗体のアレイを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記駆動回路が、前記サーマルプリントヘッド基板によってさらに担持されている、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記サーマルプリントヘッドが、前記サーマルプリントヘッドが前記高温であるときに、前記任意に再作像可能な表面と物理的に接触するように配置される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記流動制御構造が、マニホールドからのガス流動を、前記凝縮領域内の任意に再作像可能な表面の方向に方向付けるように、前記マニホールド内に形成された少なくとも1つのノズルを有する前記マニホールドである、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記サーマルプリントヘッドに近接している前記任意に再作像可能な表面の前記加熱された部分が、前記加熱部分上の湿し流体の凝縮が抑制されるように前記凝縮領域内の温度を超える、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記流動導管が、前記流動導管上の湿し流体の凝縮が抑制されるような温度に維持される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記任意に再作像可能な表面の前記湿し流体が、空中を浮遊する状態で湿し流体リザーバから受け取られる、請求項10に記載の方法。
