搬送コンベアに所定間隔で載置されて順次搬送される所定形状のシート状生地に固形の棒状食材を載置して供給する棒状食材の供給方法において、
予め、複数の棒状食材がその長手方向が平行になるように並べられて、境界部において隣り合う棒状食材同士が互いに部分的に固着された板状の固形食材を作製しておき、
上記搬送コンベアの上側に平面から見て該搬送コンベアの搬送方向と同方向の搬送方向を有する供給コンベアを設け、上記板状の固形食材をこれを構成する棒状食材の長手方向が進行方向に直交するように上記供給コンベアに載置して搬送し、そのまま該板状の固形食材をこれを構成する棒状食材の方向を維持させて搬送させながらその境界部を最下流側から順番に割断して分割することにより、複数の分割された棒状食品となるようにし、かつ、該分割された棒状食材をその長手方向が進行方向に直交するように並んで整列した状態のまま上記供給コンベアで連続的に搬送し、その後、最下流側から順番に棒状食材をその方向を維持させながら上記供給コンベアの先端から上記搬送コンベア上のシート状生地に向けて落下させるとともに、落下する棒状食材をガイド板に衝止させてその飛び出しを規制しシート状生地の目標位置に該棒状食材が載置されるようにしたことを特徴とする棒状食材の供給方法。
