Claims (3)
- 動力源からの駆動力により回転する回転部材と、
前記回転部材の駆動力により軸線周りに回転するポンプ軸と、
前記ポンプ軸の一端部に設けられて前記ポンプ軸と一体回転するインペラと、
前記ポンプ軸の他端部に設けられて前記ポンプ軸と一体回転するハブ部材を有し、前記回転部材及び前記ハブ部材を摩擦係合させて前記回転部材の駆動力を前記ポンプ軸に伝達する伝達状態と前記回転部材及び前記ハブ部材の摩擦係合を解除させて前記回転部材から前記ポンプ軸への駆動力の伝達を切断する切断状態とに切り替える電磁クラッチと、
前記ハブ部材に設けられて前記ポンプ軸と一体回転するフランジ部材とを備えたウォータポンプであって、
前記回転部材は、第1永久磁石を保持する第1磁石保持部を有し、
前記フランジ部材は、第2永久磁石を保持する第2磁石保持部を有し、
前記切断状態においては、前記回転部材及び前記ハブ部材の摩擦係合が解除されていても、前記第1永久磁石及び前記第2永久磁石の間の磁気吸引力により、前記回転部材の回転に対して前記フランジ部材を連れ回り回転させるように構成したことを特徴とするウォータポンプ。 - 前記切断状態では、前記フランジ部材に所定の駆動力以上の駆動力が伝達されるとき、前記第1永久磁石と前記第2永久磁石との間の磁気カップリングが脱調状態となることで、前記フランジ部材を前記回転部材の回転数よりも低い回転数で連れ回り回転させるように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のウォータポンプ。
- 前記第1磁石保持部内には、複数の第1永久磁石が軸線周りに配列され、
前記第2磁石保持部内には、複数の第2永久磁石が軸線周りに配列され、
前記第1磁石保持部と前記第2磁石保持部とが前記軸線方向及び前記軸線方向と直交する方向に所定の間隔をあけて配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1もしくは2に記載のウォータポンプ。
