Description
Claims (18)
- 連続的に堆積された粒状構造材料の層の複数の領域が一緒に結合され、結合材料が前記層を貫通して前記層同士の間に延びる3次元構造を形成する積層造形方法であって、当該方法は、
第1の粒状構造材料を層として構築領域内に堆積させるステップと、
第1の粒状構造材料の複数の領域を選択的に一緒に結合して、前記層内に結合領域を形成するステップと、
前記層内に少なくとも1つの空隙を設けるように、前記層から未結合の粒状構造材料を除去するステップと、
前記少なくとも1つの空隙を充填するように、第2の粒状構造材料を前記構築領域内に堆積させるステップと、
第2の粒状構造材料の複数の領域を選択的に一緒に結合して、前記層内に結合領域を形成するステップと、
溶媒を前記3次元構造に適用して、第1及び第2の粒状構造材料の一方から形成された該構造の部分を溶解するが、第1及び第2の粒状構造材料の他方から形成された前記構造の部分を溶解しないステップと、を繰り返し行うことを含み、
第2の粒状構造材料は、第1の粒状構造材料とは異なり、
第1の粒状構造材料は、第2の粒状構造材料とは異なる溶解度を有し、該異なる溶解度は、非極性溶媒に関する、
方法。 - 第2の粒状構造材料の複数の領域を選択的に一緒に結合させる前に、前記堆積した第2の粒状構造材料を均一な厚さに平滑化するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の粒状構造材料の複数の領域を選択的に一緒に結合させる前に、前記堆積した第1の粒状構造材料を均一な厚さに平滑化するステップをさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記層から未結合の粒状構造材料を除去するステップは、前記層に吸引を適用するステップを含む、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第1の粒状構造材料の前記堆積は、該粒状構造材料を前記構築領域の上で第1の方向に堆積させるための堆積ユニットのパスで行われ、
第2の粒状構造材料の前記堆積は、第2の粒状構造材料をプリント領域の上で第1の方向とは反対の第2の方向に堆積させるための堆積ユニットのパスで行われる、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 第1の粒状構造材料を結合するステップは、第1の粒状構造材料をプリント領域の上で第1の方向に結合させるための結合ユニットのパスにおいて行われ、
第2の粒状構造材料を結合するステップは、第2の粒状構造材料を前記プリント領域の上で第1の方向とは反対の第2の方向に堆積させるための堆積ユニットのパスで行われる、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記除去された粒状構造材料は、除去後に回収される、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 選択的な結合は、インクジェット法を用いて液体バインダーを選択的に塗布することによって、第1及び第2の粒状構造材料に対して実施される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 積層造形装置であって、当該装置は、
構築領域内に第1の粒状構造材料及び第2の粒状構造材料を堆積させて、該構築領域に層を形成する手段と、
前記堆積した層の複数の領域を選択的に一緒に結合する手段と、
前記構築領域から未結合の粒状構造材料を除去する手段と、
当該装置に請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実行させるように動作可能な制御装置と、含む、
装置。 - 第1及び第2の粒状構造材料を堆積させる前記手段は、前記構築領域の上を往復運動し、第1の粒状構造材料を前記構築領域内に堆積させるように構成された第1の粒状構造堆積ユニットと、前記構築領域の上を往復運動し、第2の粒状構造材料を前記構築領域内に堆積させるように構成された第2の粒状構造堆積ユニットとを含む、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記堆積した層の複数の領域を選択的に一緒に結合させる前記手段は、前記構築領域の上を往復運動し、液体バインダーを前記構築領域内に選択的に堆積させるように構成されたインクジェット式結合ユニットを含む、請求項9又は10に記載の装置。
- 前記構築領域の上を往復運動し、UV放射を前記堆積したバインダーに照射して該堆積したバインダーを硬化させるように構成された硬化ユニットをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記構築領域から未結合の粒状構造材料を除去する前記手段は、前記構築領域の上を往復運動するように構成された吸引ユニットを含む、請求項9乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記堆積した層の上面を平滑化するために、前記構築領域の上を往復運動するように構成された平滑化要素をさらに含む、請求項9乃至13のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 結合ユニット、硬化ユニット、除去ユニット、及び吸引ユニットから選択され、それぞれ独立して往復運動するキャリッジに配置された1つ又は複数の作動ユニットを有する、請求項9乃至14のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 除去ユニットがキャリッジ上に配置され、該キャリッジは、結合ユニットが配置されたキャリッジに対して独立して移動可能である、請求項15に記載の装置。
- 除去ユニットが往復運動キャリッジ上に配置され、該往復運動キャリッジは、粒状構造材料堆積ユニットが配置された往復運動キャリッジに対して独立して移動可能である、請求項15又は16に記載の装置。
- 前記構築領域は、構築テーブルの表面に形成されたウェルによって規定され、該ウェルの底面は構築プレートによって規定され、該構築プレートは、前記構築テーブルの前記表面により近い第1の位置から、前記構築テーブルの前記表面から遠い第2の位置へ徐々に移動可能である、請求項9乃至17のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
