Claims (21)
- 2つ以上の管の間に接続部を形成するジョイント部材であって、前記ジョイント部材は、
2つ以上の受入れポートであって、前記各受入れポートは、内側突出部により形成し、前記内側突出部は、(1)ジョイントが前記2つ以上の管の対応する管に接続されているときに、前記対応する管の内側で嵌合するように構成され、(2)前記内側突出部の側壁に組み込んだ1つ以上の流体送出経路を含む、2つ以上の受入れポートと、
1つ以上の流体送出ポートであって、ジョイントが前記対応する管に接続されているときに、前記対応する管の内側表面と前記内側突出部の外側表面との間の空間と流体連通し、前記流体連通は、前記内側突出部の前記側壁に組み込んだ前記1つ以上の流体送出経路を通してもたらされる、1つ以上の流体送出ポートと、
を備え、
前記内側突出部の前記表面の少なくとも一部分は、1つ以上の中央配置特徴部を備える、ジョイント部材。 - 前記1つ以上の流体送出ポートのうち少なくとも1つは、接着剤注入ポートである、請求項1に記載のジョイント部材。
- 前記1つ以上の流体送出ポートのうち少なくとも1つは、真空ポートである、請求項1に記載のジョイント部材。
- 前記1つ以上の流体送出ポートのうち少なくとも1つは、接着剤の体積を保持する容器と流体連通している、請求項1に記載のジョイント部材。
- 接着剤の前記体積は、ジョイントが前記対応する管に接続されているときに、前記対応する管の前記内側表面と前記内側突出部の前記外側表面との間の前記空間を充填するのに必要な接着剤の量と実質的に等しい、請求項4に記載のジョイント部材。
- 接着剤の体積を保持する前記容器は、気密封止接続した状態で前記流体送出ポートと流体連通している、請求項4に記載のジョイント部材。
- ジョイントと、前記ジョイントに接続される対応する管との間に結合部を形成する方法であって、前記方法は、
前記ジョイントの内側突出部を前記対応する管に嵌合するステップであって、前記内側突出部は、前記内側突出部の側壁に組み込んだ1つ以上の流体送出経路を含み、前記1つ以上の流体送出経路は、前記ジョイントに設けた1つ以上の流体送出ポートから前記対応する管の内側表面と前記内側突出部の外側表面との間の空間への通路をもたらす、ステップと、
前記ジョイントの少なくとも一部分を少なくとも約50℃の表面温度まで加熱するステップと、
(1)前記流体送出ポートの少なくとも1つに接着剤供給源を取り付け、(2)前記流体送出ポートの少なくとも1つに負圧供給源を取り付けるステップと、
(1)前記少なくとも1つの流体送出ポートを通して接着剤を前記接着剤供給源から供給することによって、および(2)前記流体送出ポートの前記少なくとも1つに対し前記負圧供給源により接着剤を前記空間内に引っ張ることによって、前記対応する管の前記内側表面と前記内側突出部の前記外側表面との間の前記空間に接着剤を注入するステップと、
を含み、
前記内側突出部の前記表面の少なくとも一部分は、1つ以上の中央配置特徴部を備える、方法。 - 前記接着剤が固化した後、前記ジョイントに設けた前記1つ以上の流体送出ポートを取り外すステップを更に含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記中央配置特徴部は、前記内側突出部の前記表面と前記対応する管の前記内側表面との間の所定の間隔距離を強制する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記中央配置特徴部は、前記対応する管の前記内側表面と前記内側突出部の前記外側表面との間の前記空間に注入した接着剤を広げるために、1つ以上の通路をもたらす、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤は、25℃で測定すると、少なくとも約1,000cPの粘度を有する、請求項7に記載の方法。

前記内側突出部の表面の少なくとも一部分は、1つ以上の中央配置特徴部を備える、車台モジュール又は下部構造体。 - 各ジョイント部材は、1つ以上の流体送出ポートを更に備え、前記1つ以上の流体送出ポートは、各ジョイントが前記対応する管に接続されているときに、前記対応する管の内側表面と前記内側突出部の外側表面との間の空間と流体連通し、前記流体連通は、前記内側突出部の前記側壁に組み込んだ前記1つ以上の流体送出経路を通してもたらされる、請求項12に記載の車台モジュール。
