Description
Claims (15)
- 眼科照明装置であって、
コア直径を有すると共に、光源によって出力されかつ集光器によって集束される光ビームを伝送するように構成された単一の光ファイバであって、
前記集光器によって近位部における焦点に集束される前記光ビームを受け取るように構成された前記近位部であって、前記近位部は、コア直径D1を有する近位端部と、コア直径D2を有する末端部と、を備える第1のテーパ状部分を備えており、前記コア直径D1は、前記コア直径D2よりも大きい、近位部と、
手術野を照明するように前記光ビームを放射するように構成された遠位部と、
前記近位部と前記遠位部との間に延在する中心部であって、前記コア直径は、前記中心部に亘って一定とされた、中心部と、
を含む単一の光ファイバを含み、
前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部上の前記焦点において、前記光ビームの開口数(NAbeam)は、Nで割った前記単一の光ファイバの開口数(NAfiber)と等しく、該Nは、前記中心部のコア直径で割った前記コア直径D1と等しく、
前記中心部は、前記光ビームの開口数(NAbeam)が、前記中心部の開口数(NAfiber)と等しくなるように構成されており、
前記近位部の前記第1のテーパ状部分の長さは、前記コア直径D1と前記中心部の直径との差の100倍以上とされている、眼科照明装置。 - 前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部が、前記テーパ状部分の近位側に配置された直線状部分を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記集光器が、前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部の前記コア直径に基づいた有効焦点距離を有するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記集光器が、前記集光器によって集束される前記光ビームの角度広がりが前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部の前記コア直径に基づくように前記光ビームを集束させるように構成されている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記集光器が、前記集光器によって集束される前記光ビームの角度広がりが、前記単一の光ファイバによって伝送される前記光ビームの角度広がりより小さいように前記光ビームを集束させるように構成されている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記集光器は、前記集光器によって集束される前記光ビームの角度広がりが、前記単一の光ファイバによって伝送される前記光ビームの角度広がりと前記N分の1との積と等しくなるように、前記光ビームが集束するように構成されている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記光源と、前記集光器と、前記手術野内に配置されかつ前記単一の光ファイバに結合されるように構成された手術器具と、をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光源および前記集光器がハウジング内に配置されている、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 眼科照明方法であって、
集光器を用いて、光源によって放射される光ビームを単一の光ファイバの近位部における焦点に集束させるステップであって、前記単一の光ファイバが、前記近位部、遠位部、および前記近位部と前記遠位部との間に延在する中心部を含んでおり、
前記近位部は、コア直径D1を有する近位端部と、コア直径D2を有する末端部と、を備える第1のテーパ状部分を備えており、前記コア直径D1は、前記コア直径D2よりも大きく、かつ、前記コア直径は、前記中心部に亘って一定とされており、
前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部上の前記焦点において、前記光ビームの開口数(NAbeam)は、Nで割った前記単一の光ファイバの開口数(NAfiber)と等しく、該Nは、前記中心部のコア直径で割った前記コア直径D1と等しい、ステップと、
前記単一の光ファイバを用いて手術野に前記光ビームを伝送するステップであって、前記中心部は、前記光ビームの開口数(NAbeam)が、前記中心部の開口数(NAfiber)と等しくなるように構成されている、ステップと、を含んでおり、
前記近位部の前記第1のテーパ状部分の長さは、前記コア直径D1と前記中心部の直径との差の100倍以上とされている、方法。 - 光ビームを集束させるステップが、前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部の直線状部分またはテーパ状部分に前記光ビームを集束させることを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 光ビームを集束させるステップが、前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部の前記コア直径に基づく有効焦点距離を有する前記集光器を用いて前記光ビームを集束させることを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 光ビームを集束させるステップが、前記光ビームの角度広がりが前記単一の光ファイバの前記近位部の前記コア直径に基づくように、前記集光器を用いて前記光ビームを集束させることを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記単一の光ファイバの前記中心部は、10mmから1000mmの範囲の長さを有する、請求項1に記載の眼科照明装置。
- 前記近位部は、前記第1のテーパ状部分に近接した直線状部分を備えており、前記単一の光ファイバの前記コア直径は、前記近位部の前記直線状部分に亘って一定である、請求項13に記載の眼科照明装置。
- 前記遠位部は、前記単一の光ファイバの前記コア直径が遠位方向に変化する、第2のテーパ状部分を備える、請求項14に記載の眼科照明装置。
