Description

The present invention relates to the technical field of wood, and more particularly to processed wood using offcuts generated by sawing.

Conventionally, various measures have been taken to make efficient use of "mill ends" (see FIG. 4) that are inevitably generated when round lumber is processed into square lumber.

For example, in Patent Document 1, a square timber is manufactured by combining the four scraps with the surface side (bark side) facing inward.

Further, in Patent Document 2, after removing the surface including the bark from the scrap material in a slightly oblique direction, it is subdivided to manufacture wooden "chopsticks".

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-271908

However, all of the above inventions are techniques in which the "bark" is turned inward or removed before use, and the texture of the "bark" cannot be enjoyed. Even if the bark of wood is very beautiful, such as beech wood, the only way to use it after turning it into scraps is to use the method described in the above prior art document or simply as a material to burn as fuel. Was the reality.

Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve these problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a processed wood that is easy to use while utilizing the texture of bark from scraps.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention cuts out at least two triangular prism members from the scrap material including the bark with the bark left on one side in a cross-sectional view, and the non-bark of the plurality of the cut out triangular prism members. It is characterized in that the surfaces are adhered to each other.

Specifically, using a 5-axis machine or the like, a plurality of triangular prism members are carved so as to leave bark on one side, and the non-bark surfaces of the carved members are bonded to each other. At this time, by adhering the remaining bark surfaces so as to be connected, it is possible to manufacture the processed wood while leaving the texture of the bark on the surface.

Further, it is desirable that the plurality of triangular prism members are cut out with reference to a position separated by the thickness of the cutting tool when the end material is viewed in cross section.

By doing so, the patterns on the continuous bark surface due to the adhesion can be connected without discomfort, and it is possible to construct a bark surface that is not processed wood and is close to the natural state.

Further, the number of the triangular prism members is three, the total angle of the vertices of each triangular prism member not including the bark is 180 °, and one of the sides constituting the vertices of the adjacent triangular prism members has the same length. It is desirable to configure it.

By adhering the three triangular prism members configured in this way, one surface (bottom surface) can be formed flat, and the processed wood can be constructed in such a form that continuous bark remains on the surfaces other than the bottom surface. That is, it is very easy to use when manufacturing various processed products (for example, picture frames and handrails) using the processed wood.

By applying the present invention, it is possible to provide a method for producing a processed wood that is easy to use while making the best use of the texture of bark from scraps.

It is sectional drawing of the scrap material, and is the figure which showed an example of the processing area of the scrap material. It is a figure which showed the process of manufacturing one processed wood by combining three cut woods (corresponding to the cross section of a scrap). It is a photograph showing an example of completed processed wood. It is a perspective view which showed an example of the scrap material.

It should be noted that, for the sake of easy understanding of the drawings, some parts are exaggerated in size and dimensions, and some parts do not necessarily match the actual product. In addition, each drawing shall be viewed in the direction of the code, and based on that direction, it is expressed as up / down / left / right, front, and back.

<Manufacturing procedure of processed wood utilizing bark>
First, the end material 1 to be machined is prepared, set in a 5-axis machine (not shown) or the like, and the three triangular prism members 10, 20, and 30 are machined (see FIG. 1).

This shaving process is performed based on, for example, the following rules.

The members 10, 20, and 30 in each triangular prism are carved out in a cross-sectional view so as to leave the bark 2 on one side of each. That is, the bark is carved so as to remain on one side of the triangular prism.

Further, the sum of the angles θ1, θ2, and θ3 of the vertices of the triangular prism members 10, 20, and 30 excluding the bark 2 is 180 °. In the example shown this time, each is configured to be 60 °. Of course, this combination of angles is not limited to a pattern having a total of 180 °, and may be, for example, a combination of 45 ° -90 ° -45 ° or a combination of 50 ° -70 ° -60 °. ..

Further, it is desirable that the gaps α and β on the surfaces 2 of the adjacent triangular prism members when the end material 1 is viewed in cross section are set as narrow as possible and cut out. More specifically, it is desirable to cut out with reference to a position separated by the thickness of the cutting tool (not shown).

Further, it is desirable that any one side of the adjacent triangular prism members forming the vertices (vertices forming the angles θ1, θ2, θ3) not including the bark 2 is formed to have the same length. More specifically, one side 10c of the first triangular prism member 10 and one side 20b of the second triangular prism member 20 have the same length, and further, one side 20c of the second triangular prism member 20 and the third triangular prism The length of one side 30b of the member 30 is the same as that of the member 30.

As shown in FIG. 2, the three triangular prism members 10, 20, and 30 carved under such conditions are combined and bonded so that the bark surface 2 is continuous. As a result, the processed wood 100 is completed with the texture of the bark 2 remaining.

After that, if necessary, the bark surface 2 may be processed (for example, coated with a resin) and used as a material for making various products.

As described above, in the present invention, at least two triangular prism members are carved from the end material 1 including the bark 2 with the bark 2 left on one side in a cross-sectional view, and the non-bark of the plurality of carved triangular prism members is carved. It is characterized in that the surfaces are adhered to each other, and as a result, it is possible to manufacture the processed wood 100 while leaving the texture of the bark 2 on the surface.

Further, since the plurality of triangular prism members are cut out based on the positions (gap α, β) separated by the thickness of the cutting tool when the end material 2 is viewed in cross section, the pattern of the continuous bark surface is formed by adhering afterwards. Is connected without any discomfort, and it is possible to construct a bark surface that is close to the natural state, which is not processed wood.

Further, the number of triangular prism members is three, and the total angle of the vertices (vertices constituting the angles θ1, θ2, θ3) not including the bark 2 in each of the triangular prism members 10, 20, and 30 is 180 °, and the adjacent triangular prisms are adjacent to each other. Any one of the vertices (vertices constituting the angles θ1, θ2, and θ3) of the member was configured to have the same length.

By adhering the three triangular prism members 10, 20, and 30 configured in this way, one surface (bottom surface) 102 can be formed flat, and the processed wood 100 can be formed so that continuous bark 2 remains on surfaces other than the bottom surface 102. It can be configured (see Figure 3). That is, it is very convenient when various processed products (for example, a frame, a handrail, etc.) are manufactured using the processed wood 100.

<Other configuration examples>
In the above, the description is made on the premise of three triangular prism members, but two members may be used, or four or more members may be combined.

Further, although the above description is based on the premise that the bottom surface is flat (180 °), a configuration that is not flat may be intentionally adopted depending on the application.
