リフォームの際に、全く新しく床下に排水配管を設置し直すことは困難であっても、床面に新たな開口を設け、既設の床下の排水配管からチーズ管やエルボ管等を利用して排水配管を分岐させ、床面の新たな開口の位置に配管の端部を配置するような、単に配管を接続させ任意の位置に配置するだけの作業であれば、比較的容易に行うことができる。
図7及び図8はこのようなリフォーム時の床下配管の一例を示すものである。図7はリフォーム前の床下配管を、図8はリフォーム後の床下配管を説明する参考図である。
既設の配管EP1は、ガス配管や給湯配管など、リフォームの前後で変更の無い配管である。また、排水配管についても、既設の排水配管EP2として示した部分は排水主管とその付近の配管であり、リフォームの前後でそのまま使用する排水配管である。尚、図7、図8では、既設の配管EP1、及び既設の排水配管EP2の排水主管は、その管体を軸方向視しているものである。
また、この図7、図8の事例では、床面に設ける床下配管の接続用の端部について、リフォーム後の位置は、リフォーム前よりも図面左側に設置位置を変更するものである。
前述のように、床下には排水配管の他に、給水用の配管、都市ガスの配管等、他の機器の配管など既設の配管EP1が既に配管されている場合が多く、上記のように床下の排水配管を分岐させる場合には、分岐した排水配管がこれら既設の配管EP1に干渉しないように施工を行う必要がある。
しかし、排水配管は通常勾配を利用して排水を行うため、上記のように他の既設の配管を避けて施工を行う場合に、新たに施工する排水配管部分が、他の配管の下側を通して迂回するように施工すると、逆勾配となってしまう恐れがある。例えば、図8の床下配管の場合、点線で示したように、既設の排水配管EP2をそのまま水平方向に延長すると、既設の配管EP1に干渉してしまい、施工できない、または逆勾配となってしまう。
即ち、先述のように、技術的・作業的には既設の排水配管から新たに分岐した排水配管を配管することは比較的容易であるが、床下に配置された他の既設配管を迂回しつつ、且つ排水勾配を確保した配管レイアウトを組むことが極めて困難である、という問題があった。
排水勾配を確保するため、図8に示した床下配管のように、新たに施工する排水配管部分が、他の配管の上側を迂回するように施工できれば、上記逆勾配の問題は解決できるが、このためには、新たに施工する排水配管の、床下空間の端部部分が、なるべく床面の裏側近くの高い位置で略水平方向を向いていることが必要である。
しかし、特許文献1に記載の洗濯機用防水パンのように、底壁部に開口を設け、この開口に排水トラップやエルボ管を固定する構成の洗濯機用防水パンでは、底壁部の開口に排水トラップやエルボ管を固定するためのネジ等の固定機構や接着を行う場合の接着しろが配置され、これらの機構部分では管体を直線形状としなければならない。
そして、洗濯機用防水パンの底壁部と、床面の開口とはほぼ同じ高さ位置となるように配置される。

また、リフォームの際、床上配管を行う場合においても、次のような問題があった。
排水配管のみならず、ガス配管など床下配管の配管レイアウトなどを設計段階から調整できる新築の場合は床下配管が行われ、床上配管が採用されることはほとんど無い。つまり床上配管はほぼリフォームの場合にのみ採用される配管レイアウトであるが、リフォームの件数は新築ほど多くないため、リフォーム専用の洗濯機用防水パンである床上配管用の洗濯機用防水パンは生産数が少なく、その分大量生産によるコストダウンが困難であった。

また、上記洗濯機用防水パン1は、底壁部2の中央部分から、上方に延出する円筒状の接続筒部4を設けてなる。接続筒部4の上面は内側に向かって鍔部4aが形成され、その内側には上下に貫通する取付口4bが設けられてなる。
また、接続筒部4の側面から、長方形の短辺を成す一方の内壁部3aまで、断面視下方を開放した略コの字形状を成す配管カバー部6を設けてなる。該配管カバー部6は、下方と、接続筒部4及び内壁部3aに接する部分が開放されてなる。
また、配管カバー部6の延長線部分となる外壁部3bには、外壁部3bの内側面に、配管カバー部6の断面形状に合致する略コの字形状の切出溝7aを設けてなる。尚、図3の斜視図においては、切出溝7aは洗濯機用防水パン1の表側からは目視できないため、対応する位置に点線して示してなる。

次に、洗濯機用防水パン1の取付口4b周縁の鍔部4aの上面に、接続部材8の筒部分を挿通し、接続部材8のフランジ部8a下面と取付口4b周縁の鍔部4a上面とが当接するように配置する。
次に、継手部材9を洗濯機用防水パン1の下方から取付口4b周縁に配置し、接続部材8の雄ネジを継手部材9の雌ネジに螺合させて、フランジ部8a下面と継手部材9上面とで鍔部4aを挟持させ、接続部材8及び継手部材9を洗濯機用防水パン1に接続固定する。この接続部材8及び継手部材9を接続筒部4上端に接続固定したことによって、接続筒部4上端に配管接続部5が形成される。
次に、パン排水配管Pの施工を行う。尚、パン排水配管Pの配管は、直管やソケット部PSを備えたエルボ管等を組み合わせて行われるが、以下の説明では、どの方向に配管が行われるかのみを記載し、各直管やエルボ管等の配管部材をどのように組み合わせたかについては特に詳述しない。
図6に示したように、配管接続部5の下方の受入部9aに、適切な長さに切断した直管を、接着剤を塗布した上で挿入し、更にエルボ管と直管を利用して、洗濯機用防水パン1の裏側空間であって、床面Fよりも上方となる位置にて配管を90度屈曲させ、接続筒部4から側面方向に配管を向ける。この時、単に配管の方向を水平方向とするのではなく、配管カバー部6の方向に向けて配管を水平方向に向ける。
次に、配管カバー部6の下方を介し、切欠部7bより洗濯機用防水パン1の外部にパン排水配管Pを延出させる。
次に、洗濯機用防水パン1を床面F上に設置し、必要に応じパン排水配管Pを支える支持台を床面Fに設置しつつ、洗濯機用防水パン1からのパン排水配管Pを、床面Fに沿って浴室の壁面BW外側近傍まで延出する。
次に、パン排水配管Pを、浴室の外側の壁面に沿って鉛直上方向に屈曲させ、浴室壁面の貫通孔BHの高さ位置で水平方向に屈曲させて貫通孔BHに配管を通し、更に浴室内で浴室の内側の壁面に沿って配管を鉛直下方向に屈曲させる。最終的に、パン排水配管Pの端部が、浴室内であって、浴室の洗い場上に配置されるようにする。また、パン排水配管Pの浴室内側の端部は、その下端が、洗濯機用防水パン1の接続部材8の上端よりも下方となる高さ位置まで延出する。
次に、ビスなどを利用し、洗濯機用防水パン1を床面F上の設置場所に固定する。
次に、洗濯機Sを床面F上の任意の場所に設置する。洗濯機Sの位置は、洗濯機用防水パン1の上方でも良いし、それ以外の床面F上でも良い。

パン排水配管Pの、浴室内の端部は、接続部材8の上端よりも下方となる高さ位置のため、サイホン効果により、パン排水配管P内が満管状態を維持する限り、排水は貫通孔BHの高さ位置を超えて、支障なく浴室内に排出される。
また、配管などの接続部8bから若干の漏水が洗濯機用防水パン1内に発生した場合には、漏水は洗濯機用防水パン1内に留まり、他の床面F上に流出することは無いため、床面F上が汚損されることを防止できる。

また、上記実施例では、外壁部3bに切出溝7aを設け、この切出溝7aに沿って外壁部3bを切断することで、床下配管と床上配管の両方に対応する構造としているが、本発明は上記実施例に限定することなく、入れ子式と呼ばれる金型を採用することで、一組の金型で床下配管と床上配管の両方に対応した洗濯機用防水パン1を製造することができる。
入れ子式金型とは、金型の一部分だけを交換可能とした金型であり、本発明の場合、上記切欠部7bの周辺部分について、切欠部7bのある金型と切欠部7bの無い金型の2種類を用意し、必要に応じて交換することで、一組の金型で、切欠部7bのある床上配管用の洗濯機用防水パン1と、切欠部7bの無い床下配管用の洗濯機用防水パン1をそれぞれ生産することができる。入れ子式金型とすることによる金型代のコストアップはわずかであるから、この入れ子式金型の場合でも、床上配管に対応した洗濯機用防水パン1を、床下配管に対応した洗濯機用防水パン1と同じ程度の安価な価格で提供できる。
また、上記第一実施例においてはパン排水配管Pは単なる排水の流路のみ形成してなるが、必要に応じ、下流側からの臭気や害虫類の屋内側への侵入を防止する排水トラップを流路上に設けて、臭気や害虫類の屋内側への侵入を防止するようにしてもよい。
